My grandfather use to say " fish will stay under the boat when it's raining! " I ask how come ? He says " so the fish won't get wet"😂 He thought it was funny! I wish he was still around to tell corny jokes
Man lol my pop pop said the same thing only we would be on the bank and he would say fish go in when it rains and I’d say go in what and he would say go in where it’s dry lol
that excitement when you landed that chubby was genuine love for the fishing passion. Ive been going through all your vids trying to get serious with my fishing again now that my boys are old enough to fish with me and wanted to say thanks for all the tips Brian, you rock bro. keep them lines tight!
Love the unique topic and as always great video B Lat! Fishing in the rain (I think) is something that none of us really consider until it starts raining. Keep fishing hard brother!
We have been getting non stop rain. It has forced me to learn a completely new way of fishing in order to avoid the skunk. Great video with tons of great information.🤛🏽
Thanks again for another great video B.L! I'm hollering from the great Pacific Northwest and it rains quite a bit up here. Thanks for all the tricks and tips🙏👍
Man I wish this had come out yesterday. Got pounded with rain for the past few days got out on the water today and lucked into 3 with a swim jig. Thanks for the hard work you put into your videos. Keep up the good work and good luck. God bless.
Very good video. I have seen the difference feeder creeks make under most weather conditions. It is always better near a feeder creek. I only fish in the rain if I don't hear thunder and the Doppler radar app on my phone does not show any lightning activity within 50 miles of my position. There was no mention of lightning-related safety but I suppose it is just common sense and goes without saying. In any event, thank you for today's video.
Thanks, BLat! There's a lake near me, with water like beef gravy after it rains. I can't get anything to bite at all, but it's no wonder when a black lure vanishes in three inches of water!
Hey, Brain any videos on what gear works best to wear in the rain , so many options out there, my son is starting to fish in high school tournaments , thank you,
Hey man, late summer, rainy mornings, bank fishing whats the best options, clear to mildly stained, high pressure, late, anh thoughts would be great thanks for your time, and awesome vids, thanks for all you do.
Whenever you have a KTM in the garage you have alot of work ahead of you. Especially those sx50's lol. The pw is headache free though. Thanks for the video Brian
Early summer can be warm and clammy and when the cold wet weather front is en route to your zone bites go down to 1/15th, and stay bad until the sun doesnt come back.
Im finding such great info on your channel Brian. Like how a fish can go from 3lb down to 1 3/4 lb from a hookset?! LOL Thanks for all thie info. Probably fishing the rain this weekend in Middle TN. Tight Lines!
If you were out fishing in Greenville on this dreary, light rain day at a retention pond with no feeder creeks, what do you think you’d throw? No pads but some good lay downs.
Hey B-Lat, I am a beginner to bass fishing (about 2-3 months). I really enjoy the channel. It was raining today so I tuned in. Also, what kinda crazy spinner contraption was that at 15:03??? 😂
Since nobody answered you it was called an alabama rig I'm pretty sure I haven't made it that far in the video yet but I assume your talking about the umbrella rig there kinds cheap and work great when bass are chasing bait fish plus you can load it with hooks depending on your state laws
Lol from 4lbs to a pound and a half...yeah thats a serious hook set..what kinda rain gear would you suggest..i don't mind so much fishing in the rain but I can't seem to find the right gear or does it all still soak you..thx
The thing about the monthly tackle boxes is for one a lot of the stuff is sample sizes. Like hooks and stuff. Then they send you a lot of unpopular stuff a lot. But the bigger problem ive noticed with everyone i have talked to that has had one. Says that its not worth it because you just turn out haveing a lot of stuff you dont use. That most of the time you atleast have 2 things you want never use. So it it really worth it in the long run?????? Not from what i have found. Rookies and kids will try to use it. But people with experience will only use 40% of what they get
I have become a much better bass fisher men watching your vidgets.Again love yall keep you the good work and good luck on champlain brother and god bless you and your wonderful family .
One of the biggest mistakes I see guys make is that when it rains, they change up and go Shallow. They will untie every rod they got and retie them to go topwater. The most productive days I have ever had were in rain storms. But they were never won on topwater. Or 5 feet back in the bushes. They were won on current points with the same strategies as the days leading up to it. Don't switch up your game plan as much unless WATER CLARITY changes. That's the only good excuse.
Brian Latimer I’d like to see how to use those eliminator soft plastics. Never seen anything like it. Ordered my first mtb box a week ago and if I get those I have no clue what to do with them haha
In the future there will be a bait with no line just a fish that swims around and when another fish eats it it automatically teleports it into your receiver bucket with a little bit of water of course. I know I know it would take all the fun out of it.
It has, i really like the lake being up again, im not liking how hot it is getting so soon this year, ill be on the water tomorrow, should be poppin, take it easy
Was fishing in the rain this morning... Damn weather man lied to us... Either way, it was a pretty good day on the Chattahoochee.... Even if it was soggy.
@@BrianLatimerFishing supposed to dry up here in a day... but just to be on the safe side, grab your frogtogs and head south... We'll pull some buckmouths out of Eufala between showers. 👍
Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ru-vid.comUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
B.lat your going to lake Champlain? That’s my home lake bro! F*** YEEEEEES! Dude I gotta get a pic man I gotta get a pic with you. Let me know when you get here bro. I’ll show you around.
