Lorena you are great with ideas ..... I hang my Baltimore album blocks on hangers but I like the idea of putting them on a roll. Thanks for the tip I am going to try it.
Glad I’m not the only one that has so many projects going. My biggest problem is I spend too much time online looking at new fabrics and patterns. I’ve made tons of quilts in my head 😂
I also use, square plastic clear tubs that i store my fabric, quilt blocks, patterns and special rulers in so I don't lose pieces. This also keeps bugs out and the pieces lay flat.
Love this video because of your honesty about not being able to STOP!! Lol. I'm the same way! I have SO many projects that are half way finished because something else catches my eye and I can't say NO! 😂🤣. I feel your pain! No judgement here! Guilty as charged! 🙋
Yes, I'm so happy I'm among some wonderful women that are addicted to being creative. By using fabric or any medium to do something with our hands. Thank you for your comment.
Loved your tips! You could also put old wine corks on the end of the "pointy things". I do this to my ice pick so I don't get stuck by it when it's in my kitchen drawer.
The knitting needle covers are nice. But if you're a wine drinker, you can use the cork from the wine bottle. I just cut off any portion that is stained by wine so it doesn't stain my fabric in the bag.
I just had a thought - to hold your applique blocks onto the rolls, what about blue masking tape? It wouldn't leave adhesive or creases. Nice video! Thanks!
Oh one more tip. I save used toilet paper rolls and wind my binding onto it as I make the binding. Then I can just put it onto my extra spool holder as I'm attaching the binding and let it wind off as I sew.
Instead of a rubber band, use pony tail holders. They will stretch to size and won't have the hazard of melting or smearing and leaving rubber on your blocks. You could also use velcro strips like they sell for electrical cord management under your computer (at Staples or other office supply stores).
Would you please do some videos on your appliqué? I do wool on wool appliqué, you need to try it! I fuse down my pieces but would like to see how you do yours ;) Thank you, and sorry for giving you yet something else to try ;-))) Barbara
Barbara M Yes, I will make a video!! It will be fun! I do my Applique two different ways and I will do a video on both!!!thank you for the suggestion!!
Lorena! Your videos are not only informative, they are uplifting, and funny, too! :-) Thank you for sharing your awesome tips! Love your little fur baby! Is she a Pie-Bald Doxie? I LOVE the black & tan mini doxies! Lost my Doxie last December. He was 18 years old. Miss him so much! Give your sweet little one a bone for me...and hug her! :-)
Chris Bergeron I'm talking to my husband about it!!😂😂 I think if it's in feb or march I may not be able to come! I have a daughter having a baby in 2-28-17 it's my first grand baby but I was thinking of visiting! I really appreciate your kindness also I will try to all you sometime this week! I would love to say hello too!
If you go to some of the some s stores you can get those hangers for free as they just throw them out here n Canada. All you have to do is go in and ask. I use then for all my o really a meter material and like you I use them for keeping my blocks straight and together as I am piecing.
you remind me of an actress but I can't think of her name, I would swear you were her sister, you even talk like her, do you know who I'm talking about? I love your vid's!
