Today was day 1 for me. It took me 2 hours to go through with it because I was unexpectedly terrified by self injection. That is until I watched this video. Wish I'd found it 2 hours ago. Thank you! :)

You should be holding the button down for the 6 count.

I did my first dose today and after I removed the needle from my skin I noticed a bit of liquid on my skin. Does this mean that the injection didn't all go in or is this normal? I counted to ten so maybe I should angle it, I did it pretty straight on... also would you recommend pinching the skin? I feel like some videos show this and some dont? Thank you for the video, it was so helpful!

Would you consider showing how to inject in other areas of your body? I don't understand how to inject properly (like where and if I need to pinch skin) into my thigh or arm

Thank you so much, all this time I’ve keep my finger on the plunger as I’ve counted, which probably exacerbates the bruising. It has been a very helpful medication for me, the only problem is the price but we will muddle through as best we can. I was 162 kilos I’m now 146.7

I never put it in my arm ever. I use my abdomen and alternate sides and spots I do it in. I have NO BRUISING, BLEEDING, OR ISSUES EVER. I never go in at 90 degrees either because it’s such a short fine needle. I’m a registered nurse and my technique is a lot better than hers. And the pen is not filled with 3 milligrams as she said, it’s filled with 18 milligrams in 3 millilitres.

I accidentally gave myself 2 doses of 0.6 on the second day 😅 Because I thought I had to do the flow check each time you use it to get the medication in the needle. So I didn’t do the flow check and didn’t think the first time was delivered so I did it again. Now I realize you don’t need to do the flow check every time, whoops 😭

I’m from Aus .. I’ve been on 30mg duromine a year ago and lost 30kg but gained 20 kg back since then and have been on 40mg for two months now and only 3kg loss 😢 I’ve just been prescribed 6mg per month.. im feeling lost and hopeless! But still hoping it’ll work out. Has anyone else been on duromine and then gone to this and lost alot of weight?

Did my first shot while watching you step by step. I couldn't see how you took off the needle. Poked myself twice in the fingers! I still don't knkw how to take it off. It wouldn't fit in the container.

I thought the injection site had to be an inch from the navel when injecting it into the stomach area. Looks like you injected in the lower area of the navel.

I started Saxenda about 3 weeks ago, tomorrow I go up to 2.4. So far I haven’t really experienced any effects. I have heard of people who were satisfied staying at lower doses. How would I know which dose is for me? Does it not work for some people? Thanks 😊

So it's ok not to clean the area being injected? You are piercing your top layer of skin. Wouldn't that introduce germs into the body from the injection?

Hello I have several questions 1. Should you take this drug at the same time every day or is it okay to take it at the different time periods? Ex: if i took it at 3 pm yesterday, can i take it at 8 pm today? 2. Can i store this drug without the fridge, on a room temperature? If yes, for how long, at maximum ? 3. In case there is no decrease in appetite, should i increase the dosage? Thanks you

I found out about saxenda by chance since my wedding is in 30 days and I need to lose 5kg, a friend of mine recommended it because she dropped about 10kg in a matter of 3 months. So I went to a doctor and made a few tests just to make sure that I can take it without side effects on my body. In the tests my dr. noticed that the insulin level in my blood was high. So she recommended saxenda as a treatment. Are high insulin rates signs for a pre-diabetic illness?? Would greatly appreciate ur reply because my granny lost vision in one of her eyes because of diabetes 😔

Great video. I've just gone up to 1.2mg and the counter doesn't go back to zero after that injection. It has a blank widow between 0.6 and 1.2. Is this a 1.2mg dose or is it just injecting 0.6mg?

When is the pen considered “used”? Does attaching a needle but then removing it without injecting mean the pen is “used” now?

Hi Would u recommend using an alcohol wipe before injecting? I’ve been using the wipes then injecting but have noticed red raised marks at injection site after putting ice has helped with the irritation any advice please?

I just did my first injection 0.6 and didn’t hear the clicky noise and it didn’t go back to zero. It just went to a blank white area. The flow is fine. What did I do wrong?

I noticed that after you injected, you let your thumb go and counted. However, I saw the manufacturer's video and in the video the lady keeps her thumb on the button after the full dosage is given and then begins to count. After she finishes counting, she then removes her thumb from the button and then removes the needle from the skin. Does it really matter?

But you said I could keep it out at room temperature, which is ideal, because I'm in and out all day. Your response would greatly help, since I'm not attached to a fridge all day, lol, and especially because I'm trying to dine better. I actually just bought an an apartment size fridge just to to house all my own goodies, and it's cute as well. Much appreciated this vid especially because I struggle with "white coat syndrome."
