Doug, I have a Helix 9 gen 1 with HDSI on the back. Does the 360 have it's own connection different then the SI? or does it use the same connection and I "have" to get it networked to be able to use both SI and 360 on the same unit? Thanks.
Doug I have a question regarding a helix for my 360. I'm looking at getting a helix 12. Does it matter in the helix unit has mega imaging or will it work just fine if it's not mega imaging. I'm just wondering if I should spend more for a mega or not.
I am a crappie fisherman and white bass fisherman i have ran hummingbird since side imaging came out been thinking about 360 I like to see some crappie pic on the 360 i have been looking at the live scope but problem is what u pointed out i am going to by new graph next year for the post spawn crappie just looking for more info thanks
I'm the worlds worst Crappie Fisherman so not much help there but do know anglers and some very good friends that use 360 for Spider Rigging. Maybe I can get in the boat and film them or do some slow trolling video of crappie in the creek channels. I have an old video with 1100 Series and Transom 360 catching white bass in the summer casting to them all around the boat while watching them on 360 Imaging
I have Solix10, I was on Texoma this weekend, water was stained, in 35' founda tight pod of fish behind a large cloud of shad, dropped a 3" shad down to the 22' and pulled up a 2 lb. crappie, did not have any crappie gear, using striper tackle. I followed that pod for 15 min. it was moving in a straight path at .6 mph. On the 360, get a white piece of paper, a half pinch of black pepper and pile it tight, that is as close as I can describe it. I have been told by otherpeople who have 360 and they follow schools of crappie until they catch their limit. If you use another graph showing 2d sonar in tandem with 360, you can follow panfish schools all day. If you are a crappie guy, the SI works great in creeks for winter crappie and pre spawn, it should be illegal it works so good.
Doug, I have the transom mount because the bow doesn’t mount to Terrova with Helix 12 G2 and I’m still getting used to using it. Have you heard anything about Mega 360?
Doug, do you know any good guides on Table Rock that are good H’bird guys? I go up there twice a year and I’m trying to set something up to learn more about Solix. I need more screen time.
Did you watch my Super Tuning 360 Imaging Video? Brandon Palinuik keyed me in to some tips on Wired2Fish Video using Brown Color Pallet and SI Enhance Features. It works pretty awesome with very little Super Tuning Required.

I'm trying to get a trip planned for some vertical fishing at Table Rock once the fish start suspending and want to do 360 Imaging video on them to show how you can see the schools move and using to get back on top of them to vertically fish them is a video I have planned. Just waiting on the word and opportunity to get the fish to cooperate.
Doug Vahrenberg I like it. I fish a lot of mountain reservoirs that are deep, have steep dropoffs and have very little areas of shallow water. I sometimes just go in the middle and “blind cast” on the surface to about 20 ft below. It works surprisingly well and I catch bigger fish out there. But if I can target them with the 360 I’d be golden.
360 uses 455kHz to get the range and distance. It does not use MEGA Imaging. Waypoints can be overlaid with 360 Navigation turned on and you can see the waypoint on the screen. I have videos from the past showing this feature.

I like that answer Doug! I called up Humminbird before I ordered and they didn’t say anything about a new 360 in the works. Any idea why they aren’t coming out with a Mega 360?
360 is a Transducer and the Unit Sends and Processes the Data. I have no idea what the engineers at Humminbird are working on and they do not release that information until officially announced. But I know those masterminds are always up to something.
Doug Really How can I believe what you are saying about the 360 I mean Stocking hat, sweat pants, sweat shirt, really making me think you are trying to stay warm just to show us the 360, But Sandals with all that gear to stay warm I don't know if I can believe you.
I have a problem with sweating feet and wearing boots my feet get extremely cold when wet. Unless it's below freezing I'm wearing sandals....and those are wool socks. It's a physical problem I have and have learned how to adjust my clothing to withstand the conditions in the winter. High was 57° degrees Sunday and temperature feel to low of 17° Sunday Night with a Midwest Blizzard that started 2 hours after this video was recorded.

Exactly...When you invest time to learn and understand it, you'll realize it's the ultimate sonar for fishing and knowing exactly where to cast. 360 is one of the best kept secrets in fishing. Those that understand it don't tell others about it. They want the competitive edge.

I have been in the boat with pretty much every competitive sonar system out there. I have lots of fishing friends and look at their stuff too. Everything has limitations and coverage area is huge limitation. Why I personally prefer 360 because coverage area is more important to me than limited slice of the pie. No sonar can show fish hiding behind structure...sonar can't go around corners and I fish predominately bass and the lick to hide in cover and missing that cover because of limited coverage area is very critical. I could see schooling fish and where I turn up the refresh rate on 360 imaging and what the schools move. To me Coverage Area is the most important feature...why would you want to limit coverage. If so we would not need Side Imaging and every manufacturer has copied Side Imaging Technology and still hasn't gotten close to what Humminbird does.
@@DougVahrenberg Appreciate all you videos! Do you see a way to use both 360 and Livescope? To me, that would be awesome, just not sure how you would get it all mounted.
The problem with 360 is that it is slow to regenerate the image compared to panoptix and it has a very bulky transducer. I’m sure Humminbird will up the game but 360 is not it .....currently. But you know this......
Fast enough for me...but how you going to catch them if you limit the coverage area and can't keep the transducer where the fish are??? With 360 Imaging you can see exactly where the fish are to cast to them. Never had a problem with 360 Imaging and the I fish ultra shallow, stumps and standing timber most of the time. It's above the trolling motor.
