Doug, Can I use the "Y" cable to hook up my Helix 10 gn3 mega di,si (transducer on stern) to my Minn Kota 24V with di (transducer on Bow trolling motor)? Thanks Bob L in PA

Doug as always,very helpful. Think in future I am going to run with two SI transducers for greater definition using the y cable on my Lund.

Do you need a Y cable if you run SiDi transducer and the mega 360 on the trolling motor?

I did this because I was losing bottom on plane. After about my third time out my down imagine does not work anymore. It only works if I run the same megahertz on my side imaging and down imaging. They are no longer independent of each other. It worked fine for a few outings then of course just like my hummingbird always does and never lets me down a day before a tournament it quit. Third year and in a row I've have problems with my bird right before a tournament. Of course it was a day out of warranty because the last time it happened was a year prior before the same exact tournament.

Doug, I watch all your Videos and they really help. I actually take a Ipad with me on the boat to watch them for advise. I have a Solix12 Mega SI-DI at console or further to rear of boat to look at because I seldom fish from the bow alone and just got a Solix10 Mega SI-DI G2 and want to do both at the console. Do I run a separate transducer for each unit. Where do I find those mounts you showed on the back to mount your transducer. I was also thinking of installing a thru haul on one of the units even though there $340. A lot to ask in my comments and I am hoping you can answer them for me. Fish-On

does mounting the 2d transducer inside of an aluminum boat affect the transducer reading as opposed to a fiberglass hull ? Thanks in advance. I'm looking to mount it on a vexus avx 2080, 20 ft boat

DV I greatly appreciate this video! I have two questions... 1st about the thru hull TD needing to be wet by disabling the bildge? Does it always have to be wet on the inside of the boat? 2nd is how is the quality on the thru hull 2D vs the big transducer? Can u see fish as good with the thru hull? Thanks in advance DV! Oh and I have a gripe lol, I sure hate that u have to have a G3 Helix for the new Mega 360! I just had bought my G2N this January! OMG
