Definitely liquid gold! I freeze in 1-2 oz servings. 1 oz comes in handy for starting solids. Then you can just defrost 1 oz to make cereal or thin puréed food.
Good to know, coming from a dad, this question in specific. I had a whole 2 oz left in the bottle and didnt want to throw it away! I feel a whole lot better after viewing the video and knowing i can preserve the liquid gold til the next feeding. Thanks.
This video is wonderful, but i noticed a thing and i don't know if its everyone or only me! The smell of my defrost milk is so bad!!! Although, I freeze it fresh?!
my baby doesn't get full with my milk, I try to pump every time after breastfeeding but nothing comes out the most I've got is half an onze but and my baby is still hungry by that time so I use formula. I'll start working in six weeks I really want to give her my milk. I drink oat with milk twice a day i drink 5 L of water a day(i pee all the time). I take vitamins. I am so sad and worried, I really want to have enough for her at least to feed her through the day. I try to hold her as I can :(
AMS JV Don't stress yourself out too much mom. When I had my daughter in November I noticed that I wasn't getting much milk at first either. What I would suggest is to eat a little bit more or to where you get full.
A foetus usually sleeps during the day and is active at night (when you are not moving). My midwife told me to teach my daughter to differentiate day and night as soon as I'd come home from the maternity Clinic. During the day, don't care about the noise you make (watch TV, vacuum, run the washing machine, listen to music...), play with your baby, talk to him/her, go for walks, let the sun come in (don't put the curtains if she/he naps). At night, be quiet, have dimmed lights, feed him/her but don't play, cuddle a little and put her/him to bed. Little by little you can set a routine (bath, feed, cuddle, bed when drawsy...). Make sure the bassinet or bed is comfy.
Good to know a personal experience, but in my opinion it cannot be offered as a piece of advice for all the people. Take an experiment present at an american TV: 75% of 100 samples of breast milk had a dangerous, high bacteria concentration or high risk pathogen, like Salmonella. So, even if your personal experience was positive, its extremely risky to encourage other parents to do the same. The medical doctors offered a competent advice due to the microbiological results of different studies. If you decided not to follow them and take the risk, at least do not encourage other parents to do the same, as once you might end up with one who's baby got killed out of ... a good intended advice.
