So I was left with my newborn son while his mother goes to her appointment. She left the bags of milk in the fridge but didn tell me how to set up the bag to the bottle nor how to warm it up. I really needed this video. 😅 it helped so much
@georgeperez8171 Glad the video was helpful! 😅 Don’t worry, you’re doing great! To warm the milk, just place the bag in a bowl of warm water (not boiling) for a few minutes. Once it's warm, pour it into the bottle and give it a gentle shake. You’ve got this, super dad! 💪👶
You DO NOT have to discard left over milk in the bottle. You can re-use it if left on room temperature within 2-4 hours as babies usually need more food within another 1-2 hours so better re-use it.
Very informative video and got all the doubts cleared. One last doubt... can we mix 2 milk bags stored at different dates and time for feeding at single time? Please clarify
Yes, you can mix breast milk from different pumping sessions stored at different times, but it's important to follow safe practices. First, ensure both portions are cooled in the refrigerator before combining. Mix only milk stored at the same temperature, and use the date of the oldest milk as the reference for storage duration. Check the milk for any changes in smell or appearance before use, and gently mix the milk to redistribute the fat. Always label the milk with the dates and times of pumping, and consult healthcare providers for personalized advice, especially if your baby has specific health needs. Remember not to refreeze once thawed, and use within recommended storage times for safety.
I am about to go back to work my baby is 2 months and I will go back when she hits 3 months, for now I am just breastfeeding but my works takes 8 hrs ,what do you recommend?
@busratferdous3870 You should count the time from when you finish pumping, so if your power pumping session ends at 11 am, the room temperature storage time should be counted from 11 am to 3 pm (for 4 hours at room temperature). This helps ensure your milk stays fresh and safe for use!
@faithkwalimba149 Power pumping is a 1hr pumping session- starts with 20 min pumping then 10 min rest then 10 min pumping again 10 min rest and then ends with 10 min pumping
It's generally safe to store liquids at room temperature for 3-4 hours, but for longer periods, refrigeration is recommended to prevent bacterial growth and maintain freshness.
@arslaniftikhar5535 Breast milk can be safely stored in the refrigerator (lower portion) for up to 4 days. Just make sure it’s kept in clean, sealed containers and always label the date. Use the oldest milk first to ensure freshness for your baby!
@samihayqoub2774 Warm water for breast milk storage should be around 37°C to 40°C (98.6°F to 104°F), which is similar to body temperature. This helps in gently warming the milk without overheating it, ensuring it’s safe for your baby.
@dilshodramazonov76 It sounds like you're reflecting on something meaningful and personal. If this is about a memory, a moment, or a significant event, I'm here to listen if you'd like to share more or if there's anything specific on your mind. Take care.
