Beautiful card Lisa. The butterflies look as if they could fly off the paper, they look real. We have carpenter bees here in the spring also. They are scary when they fly at you but they won't hurt you. Expecting light snow here Saturday. Take care.

I showed how to cut the butterfly dies in a previous video a long time ago. It is on a butterfly card video last year. I showed how to cut the set and the dies.
Yes!! I found it! I have never used this bundle and think I would if they were cut apart…of course not until I cut the DSP butterflies. Thank you for showing this!
Love the card and colors. Tried it last fall and used early espresso for my dark color. It was pretty but obviously I need to practice lol. Going to give this a try! Now I’m going to look at the new colors and I agree SU needs a pale sky blue and true pale pink. Don’t like blushing bride looks like muddled up peach. I never heard of Joseph's coat before, and I don't have the butterfly Brilliance stamp set or dies, so I may have to use some other stamp set and try this. Thanks for showing it. That’s a great idea. I do have some really nice neighbors. They are almost all younger couples in their 30s and 40s with little kids but super nice. I need a nice single man about my age to love in. Lol!
You sound like my daughter! She is constantly interrupted outside by bugs and animals. And she rarely just relaxes. Beautiful card, I like it so much more with the dark blue. Love it.
I LOVE your "spin" on the Joseph's Coat style. The darker blue of Misty Moonlight is so much more appealing (imo) than black. I think the Joseph's Coat idea is unique but I've never made cards using the technique. I've always thought the black looked too "heavy" (distracting ?) and seemed to cover any color under the embossed images. Thanks for demonstrating this technique using a color other than black. I've obviously lost too many brain cells as I've never thought to use a dark color other than black. DUH..... (lol)! TFS

Oh how I miss guiding light and as the world turns. I was so upset when they got canceled. I figured all the soaps were done by now. Reva and Josh were my favs though. I used to watch young and the restless about 20 years ago but I didn’t like the characters as much as the other ones.
@@stampingwithlisa I miss GL and As The World Turns also. I can remember watching Search for Tomorrow and the Edge of Night. They were on at 12 noon, 15 minutes each. I was 6 at the time and could come home from school to eat lunch, School was across the street from us. I would watch those shows while I ate lunch. They finally went off the air in the 80's. Good times.
Yes I did watch the edge of night too. I started watching in the 70s and then when I went to college in the 80s we only had one tv in the dorm and we would all go there at 3:00 and fight over watching guiding light or general hospital. Those were the good old days. Lol!
Thanks for sharing. I have tried this once before using black and didn’t like my results. Your card looks great, I’ll have to try this again but maybe with a different color.
L💓VE your card...it is GORGEOUS ❣️❣️❣️ Not a fan of the new in-colors. I don't like Parakeet Party at all, not impressed with Orchid Oasis or Sweet Sorbet, don't know how I feel about Starry Sky, but I love Tahitian Tide. It reminds me of the beautiful sparkling water when we took a Carribean Cruise. It looked just like that and it was gorgeous! Loved your stories. You sounded kind of mesmerized by the geese! 😂😂😂 And the Wasp spray was funny too. 😂 You just had quite a day with God's creatures, didn't you? 🤣🤣🤣 Don't think of the embossing powder spots as splatters, think of them as butterfly poop. It looked like it was just below the butterfly tushies. 😂😂😂 Ok, maybe I need to go to bed, I'm tired and I'm getting slap happy and silly. I like the new colors a little bit but I was hoping for more pastels. The geese were hysterical. The wasp spray almost got me in trouble. I was just making them mad! I love the butterfly poop! I might have to use that in another video! LOL!
@@stampingwithlisa Thanks for being so fun! 😂 I'm still holding out for Misty Moonlight or Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray to make a return as a permanent color. J like Balmy Blue, but I like Seaside Spray better. And I think we could have 2 different dark blues as permanent colors. We did when I first joined SU. We had Night of Navy and Not Quite Navy. Hey, we should send SU an email every single day between now and the next color refresh and ask for those colors to come back permanently. 😂 Maybe they'd give them to us if only to shut us up or stop us from blowing up their email! 🤣🤣🤣 Well, I'd better let you get back to your comments for real this time. Hi, Lisa! Such a pretty card. I like your take on this technique, with the muted colors. The butterflies are perfect for this. I worked in the yard today, too, but I built a snowman and shoveled snow in the driveway! I'm in Amarillo, Texas.
The White Face Hornets have nests in the ground. You only see a small hole drilled into the ground, and they come flying out of there and scare the crap out of me. You need an exterminator that specializes in that kind of thing to get rid of them.
LOL! My exterminator is pretty good. He found several ground bee holes last year and killed them. He gets rid of my carpenter bees too with some kind of powder.
I love this technique. I tried it with the leaves last fall after watching your video. Will have to try it again with a different set. Absolutely love this card, the colours are amazing. I agree on needing a turquoise ink. Fingers crossed for one. Ontario, Canada
Love it 💕 Love it 💞 I like this technique with the Misty Moonlight! I think this technique is unknown in combination with the embossing, so a lot of people watch the videos. I only know it from your videos, too. I only knew it with wax crayons before.
