Thanks for the serving tips. The reminder to hold the paddle less tightly very helpful-probably the reason I have golfers elbow-holding the paddle too tight!
Tyler these tips transformed my serves tremendously after watching this video. I’m very grateful for your excellent coaching style Tyler. I’ve been struggling so much with inconsistent serves. Yesterday after watching this video I went to my pickleball ladder and remembered your tips to Michelle especially being loose and weight transfer and foot positioning. I appreciate you both so much. It was like magic for me. Thank you again
I enjoyed your serving tips. I need to work on the tips that I am not doing in my serve to get more power and direction. My go to serving routine is to take three or four deep breaths, look at my target, watch the ball and I do not look up until I hear the sound of my paddle hitting the ball. Thank you, Tyler and Michelle.
Loved everything about the video. Even encouraged when some bad shots went out while learning new techniques. Made me feel so much better and not so down on myself; like maybe there is hope for me to catch on with enough practice. 😅😊
As an Intermediate with a decent serve (but always looking to improve), I learned a lot from all your tips. Plus, the chemistry you two share is so adorable. You guys are the Ricky and Lucy Ricardo of pickleball. That said, one big thing that was omitted in your video is the serve from left court to right court. Where are the feet pointed in such case?
around the 7 minute mark, her forward momentum on the serve is carrying her inside the court. If the receiver hits the return deep, she will have to back up which could be a problem. If she stands further back for the serve, this won't be a problem.
Thanks for another great video! I understand that I need to point my front foot towards the dominant side post when I’m serving on the even score side. But where do I point my front foot when I’m serving on the odd score side?
0:03 WOW! 3 seconds into the video and dude is poaching the camera. 3:19 If you tried to take my paddle I would grip it tighter so you couldn’t take it.
I watched the first 8 minutes of this video and gained absolutely nothing from it. if you're not standing between the camera and the player making it impossible for us to observe her technique, you're standing between the camera and the cross court box making it impossible for us to see where the ball lands, how it sails and whether the technique is effective. do you even watch your own videos? or do you just stare at yourself and think your videos are wonderful. hire a stage manager who can tell you where to stand.
@WilliamGuth lol, only the first part of this was showing “I watched the first part of the video” and thought it was going to be a huge paragraph on how amazing it was. Then I opened it and 🤣🤣🤣 Anyways… thanks for the 8mins hahahaha
The instructions in this video are so well done and extremely helpful, especially for those of us who don't come from a tennis background. Thank you! 🙌👏🩷
