The purpose of the breath is to switch from metabolism to equilibrium. From the acidic state to the alkaline or base state. This is how we select our behaviors and moods. In relation to our environment or circumstances. This is why two lovers share the same breath patterns. Why two combatants share the same breath patterns. The more disconnected you are to nature. To your surroundings. The more acidic you will be. The more alkaline you are the more connected you are to your surroundings and you experience a kind of Oneness. We all have special traits and genetics which in medicine are called Artifacts. Cancer is an artifact. We are in a constant state of movement and transition. Nothing is what it appears. Our natural state is spinning turning and up and down. Vision blurry. We offset this state by switching to our equilibrium. Our alkalinity. Our autonomic system that allows us to feel as if we are fixed and balanced in time and space. When in fact we are constantly spinning. Constantly shifting from up to down. .All sentient creatures do this. Even our family pet which prefers to poop at a North - south direction. Ants like the circle. We like to dance. We view the world in light of our experience or experiences. Which means we create our own demons and our own gods. We create our own desires. You falsely believe you want a bag of Doritos. However your biologics demands sodium. Or glucose. And that's why you chose Doritos. Your personal preference but your body knows what you really NEED is a pinch of sodium. So why do we stress out? Because of EXPECTATIONS. What we desire in terms of wants and desires and biological need. What happens if our needs are not met? We age. We die. The acidic state cause ulcers and headaches and yes cancers. All metabolic. What happens if our desires are not met? We become neurotic. Bitter. Angry. Our metabolism like a pressure cooker about to explode. So how to deal with this? Just simply shut up and breathe. Deeply. Slowly. And guess what? Your anger subsides. You see clearly. And the bitter frown turns to the stoic smile of the priest or monk. And the heavenly face of God. Many years ago my old Teacher and friend Krishnamurti wrote me a letter explaining my suffering at the time. Another friend and Teacher was Ram Das . Who also comforted me as I was a member of his group called Hanuman Foundation. Under Bo and Sita Lozoff. I became a warrior monk. I live the interior life. The breath of existence. God bless all of us ❤.
