Tips & Tricks, 4/9 || PLACING/ALIGNING STANDS (Stadium Creator, MLB The Show) 

Hey thanks, I'm glad you found these helpful! And yeah.. it definitely takes some time getting used to the stadium creator. But, once you do and get more efficient at using it, you can create some pretty sweet stuff. I'll tell you now, it just gets better and better too.

Lol right? I'm sure we could all come up with some amazing stuff if there was no cap to it. Though, it would probably never run in game at that point haha

Oh nice! I didn''t actually know that. I kind of remembered them adding snapping to the ground, but didn't realize to the wall was a thing. Very good to know!

Lol yeah, Tropicana Field is awful. They are always a fun one to create a new stadium for, so I can't blame you for doing that. Easily the two worst parks in baseball though, I agree. A's definitely deserve a new ballpark, or a move to somewhere like Vegas.

Awesome, I'm glad they've helped you out as for placing them close... There isn't really a way to do it. It drives me nuts too... But there are some that allow you to get closer than others. Unfortunate, because some of the cooler ones are the ones that don't allow anything close at all, so I end up not using those. There used to be a glitch that allowed it, but I think they patched that out now.

Of course! Glad you found it helpful. As for the stands... there isn't a way to do it. Each type has a slightly smaller version of the lower tier (minus like 5ish rows), but there are no options for stands with just a small amount of stands. Trust me, it is one of the things that irritates me the most since you have to fake it by hiding part of them if you want that affect. The other option that I use with my newer stadiums is to just use the bleacher seats and make a custom design with them. That tends to work pretty well.

Thanks for the reply. After about 4 hours of messing around I found out that’s the only way to do it too haha. Burry the stands in the ground. I’m really really happy they added stadium creator to The Show, but SDS definitely has a lot of areas to improve it

Ha yeah, having a stadium creator is amazing for sure and it's been a lot of fun... but there are definitely some small changes that could be made that would make a huge difference, that's for sure. Glad you're getting it figured out too though!

There is no way to actually move it yourself when creating them. There is one default template that has it closer to the water, so you have to use that specific one and then clear out the assets to build your own. I cleared the assets and just saved it as a "waterfront" template to use for all of mine. I forgot which template it was though, and I'm pretty sure they removed it for 23, which is lame. Instead, they just have the water you can place on your own.

I'm assuming you mean the stadium... If so, yeah. It looks a little different, but this was my Rays stadium, and I created a couple different versions for '23. Easiest way to find them is to just search by my ID, which is "mdbaseball05"

I'll have to check to see for sure on this ballpark in particular, but usually, I go for one of the 330-400-330 walls, or something close to it. Then, just change wall heights (I think you can change the height while keeping it online eligible)

No problem at all, I'm happy to help. I think the one in this particular video might be off (I messed it up in the final version and then fixed it later. But, for reference, if you look at my Rays Retractable Roof ballpark, that one uses the "330-400-330 V2" wall configuration specifically. I just lowered the walls.

Ha that is a trickier question to answer. If you're referring to the outfield stands, then it depends on having them completely parallel to the outfield wall. If it's corners... There are different techniques based on what you're looking for. Best is to taper them in a way around the corner.

Yes. There are a couple of new changes, but stadium creator hasn't changed much since it's initial release, so a lot of the stuff still holds true
