A tip for anyone wanting stars on their levels: Play test them a lot! Put TONS of aesthetics in them so people will like them! Examples are: alternate blocks, vines, using the platforms for backdrops, enemies, and pixel art relating to the level. Also try making your stage based around 1 mechanic or gimmick and keep implementing on it. This can be hard to do with some mechanics (the stiletto shoe level took me forever) but just keep on thinking! I hope this could help others get more stars!
I can't upload my levels because I use the 3ds version, but I made a level based on P-Switch timers. One part was jumping from platform to platform on Koopas, one part was wall-jumping and dropping several times and the last part involved spin jumping a lot and wall jumping to avoid saw blades, all while on a P-Switch timer.
Here's a boss idea: bowser is in a clown car and there are pipes on both sides firing Koopas. You have to kill bowser with the koopa shells and take his clown car, then you fly up to the finish.
Laniganbot 3D my idea was that bowser is in a fire clown car and your in a regular you have to get away from bowser, because in the end there's a one way door wall into an arena, where you get a fire clown car and can battle it out won't bowser in the air.
It was pretty cool. A little hard, pretty good bossfights. Maybe add more design? Also, the last fight was really easy because you could spin jump on the chomps heads. It was fun.

Nice. I tried this, and I thought it was good. I liked the use of a wiggler at the beginning to add some excitement to getting the mushroom in the block. Overall, I thought your enemy placement was very good. I liked the part where you need to lure the thwomp into the lava to proceed. The use of a boo right before that part made what I thought was a fun risk vs. reward setup. If you take the time to lure the boo away, it's not too hard to fake out the thwomp, but if you're impatient and try to run the gun, the boo can easily get you, since you NEED to look away from it to perform the fake-out jump for the thwomp. As for suggestions, I would have maybe removed the first piranha plant, or at least made him the kind that doesn't shoot fire. Getting that first mushroom is already made more exciting by the wiggler, and the fireballs the piranha plant shoots makes it a little too crazy. I would just recommend going through the level, and making sure the enemies all have a reason for being there. If they don't really add anything, then taking them out will make your level feel more streamlined. I actually felt like almost all of the enemies in this stage served a good purpose. The boos where well placed, the chain-chomps made it more intense, and the hammer bro was in a challenging, yet not unfair spot. The only ones I felt didn't have a good purpose were the piranha plant at the beginning and the wigglers on platforms near the end. I wasn't sure why they were there, and if they did have a purpose, I couldn't interpret what it was from the level design. You could trying adding coins or arrows to help your player understand what you had in mind as a designer. Overall, great course. Gave it a star.
Here’s a contraption idea Thwomp Pow trigger: this trigger can be used in a few ways , it can open up exits , if you put the thwomp on top of a POW block , and walk under it , it’ll trigger , if you put a bullet blaster on top of him , you’ll make a gate.

I can never get many stars. I like to make "classic" Mario levels as in just simple platforming to the end goal with some spice added here and there. My most stared level "Helmet Caverns" is my first and it's all about the helmet. I don't think its that good, but other people must do.
Here's 3 of my lvls -Day 4 in the ghost house (could call it luigi's mansion too): 4B49-0000-0211-4247 atmosphere based lvl in a ghost house with exploration. -Sliding bars: FE38-0000-0229-9743 puzzle based lvl using bullet bill blasters as obstructions or tools to move to open a path. -Bob-Omb factory: 98D8-0000-022A-EC2A atmosphere based lvl with diverging paths at 2 points in the level.

This level isn't really anything amazing, but check it out if you want. Tanooki Trials: 9FEA 0000 019B 2478 Make use of the Tanooki power-up in this level. Featuring an easy-medium level and hard level. There are also many hidden goodies spread throughout. Time your jumps and make use of your slow descent when needed.

I'm making a mario party level using some of your tips, tricks, and ideas. Some do with shellmets, bob ombs, mushrooms, and stars. The minigames are very fun as well. I'll tell you when it's done in youre next video.

Here's one of my levels. Tourian 2.0 (Save Stations): 2941-0000-00FC-E890. A remake of one of my previous levels and based of Metroid, this version features checkpoints located just off the main path, like save stations station in a Metroid game. Get in, defeat Mother Brain (portrayed by Bowser Jr.), and get to your ship. Also feel free to try our some of my other levels.

did you know that there were plans for a flying cage in the original super mario world? hackers can make up a glitchy version of it to use but it will hardly work. it was probably a new way to auto scroll or something its funny and perfect that the flying cage level was in the mario world theme lol
Quest for Renamon III (9227-0000-01AC-9941) There are some tricks in this level I made with citation to many old games: Pong, Pang, Space Invaders, Pacman, Columns, Kick Off, Super Sprint and Street Fighter 2. Last one is very subtle (I challenge you to find it). But the ones I'm most proud of are the Column and Super Sprint ones. The Columns one looks like a mass of blocks assembled in a very messy way but in reality they are forming a complex maze you enter from the top and exit from the bottom. The Super Sprint one forces you to swim as fast as you can in a figure eight.
Well... i dont have a level... but if you use the super mario world theme and throw a trampoline under a p switch and it goes up and lands on a trampoline above you can have a muncher a little bit above the second trampoline.
Great video once again, and your quality goes up and up every day! (And I'm not saying that just because my level is there :P) I've bookmarked a few levels in the comments and hope to comment in plain old English (though I might mix some Spanish in there). If you're interested, I've found this level by BRICK 101. If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend it, as it a super accurate representation of Mario 64 with complex mechanics which would make NASA blush. I'm not submitting it to be highlighted by you, I just think you'll honestly enjoy it.

I remixed the course that had the most stars, but then it hasn't gotten any stars. E364-0000-034E-5C90 And once I uploaded a course built around new concepts, it got deleted due to "containing a bug." ... I guess Shell Swapping is considered a glitch.
for the build your own robot level I gave it two heads and it glitched out, one head was on the shoulder and one leg was gone XD ps: if your wondering how I did that when the bullet bill launcher falls you have just enough time to run through, I tried giving it everything but it killed me

Speaking of levels not getting enough recognition, I spent hours creating a level where you get to choose what challenges you want to face and called it fortress of decisions. it only got one star and was taken down and I can't put it back up. :( I was really proud of that level, it's the best one I ever made and I was really upset I couldn't reupload it. and it's even worse because I know many other people go through the same thing and now I'm worried to even upload my levels in fear they'll get taken down too :(
