I used a combination of ForScan and a switchable obd reader to disable the tpms system due to a fault that can't be fixed without taking off the tires. Notes: you need to get a free ForScan temporary license and an obd reader that is switchable to read the ms-can data. Go to the ForScan website to see if your vehicle is covered. The obd reader I got is the vint-tt55502 and it works great and was less than 20 bucks! Do you still own your 2012 Escape. Can you save your IC configuration and IC as built data from Forscan Programming section. I changed Oil Life from unset to 5000km 3 months but it does not work. When I went back to the settings, there is no more option number 28 to change the oil life to percentage. So now my settings are set to 5000km 3 months option but it does not show when I press the buttons on the Instrument cluster panel. I need to restore the settings back to original, I did not save the original settings. So are you able to save the settings on IC configuration and IC as built as 2 .ab files for me. Thanks.

@@toumanokat7159 I havent really played much with forscan for im afraid of things like youre in today. I only used it to disable the tpms which really bothered me. I wanna edit my odo meter for i have biger tires now but I havnt found a way yet.

Yeah, I can deal with the light blinking. That part is easily ignored. But the BEEP that goes off every couple minutes is irritatingly loud

Literally just did this moments ago and it worked. Only thing is getting registered with Forscan, then getting the extended license. After that you have full access and can disable TPMS.

@@shawnt8891 I am about doing it now on my F150- First Step make sure you have the right FREE version of FORSCAN on your Windows. For MAC you have to pay. forscan.org/download.html Then, obviously you will need to buy a FORSCAN adapter to plug on your car and USB connector to plug on your computer. I found a few pretty cheap. Good video was able to shut off the seatbelt chime but would not give me the option to get into the GEM module to shut off tpms light

I think I would have found it more valuable to show how you got to that screen once you plugged in the module to have your computer hooked to your car. Its like you jumped to step 7 and didn't show steps one through 6.

Hey, great tip! I have same problem on my '09 Mazda Tribute, need to download Forscan and do this. I haven't purchased a scan interface device yet to plug into the OBD-II port. What device are you successfully using?

The pinger is if you were trying to program your own TPMS, this disables the logic in the car's ECU

Tried this on a 2009 Lincoln Town Car. The option to disable the TPMS in FORScan was not present for the vehicle, even with the extended license.

everything works as shown but when I run the GEM module the list of items to manipulate is short and does not have the TPMS like yours does. Ford Focus 2011, any ideas?

Well I ordered one. Big mistake on my end not doing more research first. I have a 2008 Ford Crown Vic. Been back and forth with my laptop trying to see the option to disable the tire pressure monitoring. No luck at all. Not even shown on my vehicle.

Ford Mondeo V (11/2019) TPMS made me crazy since I bought it aug 2020 ! Ford TechLine unable to give explanations how to fix the problem (valves and box system replaced)..but every 40 km ..I got the F**ck**g sound ..some of the 4 indicators says wrong value or nothing (like you lost one tire ;O)) .. I was so happy to by my 4th Mondeo..now Ford is unab ale to repare (warranty 2026) ...Please don't buy Ford anymore ...
