Tired of Buying 1lb tanks when EMPTY? - DIY 1lb Propane TANK REFILLING  

Is there something in their that needs filtered?

Waiting for an answer!? Lol I’m just beginning to fill my own. Haven’t used a filter.

@aliengold6791 I'm not using a buddy heater. I'm using 1lb tank on small Blackstone and or my fire and ice coleman

I have never been able to get one refilled to the 2 lb mark

Just simply fill the little one till it weigh just over a lb or so.

@@TheMustangStampede ok so I weigh mine empty in oz.. is 14.4 so 16oz is a pound so anything about 26-30 oz. Is good for me. Thx.. nice vid.

@@TheMustangStampede Are you seriously advocating for folks to refill an unapproved propane container? (marked from the manufacturer “disposable” DOT 39) It is illegal to transport them and may result in up to a $500,000 fine and five-year imprisonment per 49 CFR 178.65. Not to mention you are refilling a flammable gas indoors. which as I said before is super dangerous.

@badgorilla that is exactly what we do re fill them................... why you going toss out a perfectly good container???
