Today we are heading towards Tanjavur from Tirupati
Before we started our journey we visited the holy Padmavati Temple that si situated at the small village that is about 5/6 kilometres away from Tirupati city now one can drive to this place directly by taking the newly constructed flyover that starts from Tirupati and ends alsmis a few hundred metres from the Padmavati Temple
Here we took the Devine Blessings of Mata Padmavati and after that we headed towards our hotel as we had to check out today
Before ending this trip in Tirupati we decided to have breakfast and hence we entered a hotel where we actually had brunch considering the travel we had ahead
By now it was almost 10/10.30 am and after finishing the breakfast and packing our luggage we headed towards Tanjavur
Tanjavur is a city situated in the state of Tamil Nadu and is around 400 kilometres away from Tirupati and to tech here it takes around 9 to 10 hours drive
As we left tirupati we crossed very scenic and beautiful landscapes of the Chandaragiri Fort that one can see on the Chittoor Chennai Highway
We reached Chittoor and from there we headed towards The Famous city of Vellore, Vellore is known for its famous VIT University and it's industrial engineering industry along with it is also a big place for pilgrims who come from across the world to visit the Golden Temple
As we had entered this city at its peak hours of traffic we had a hard time to drive through the roads of Vellore and at some point we got stuck up in the traffic due to some political figures convoy of vehicles was also traveling at the same time through the city
After around traveling about one hour through the city roads if Vellore we finally got out of the city and now headed towards Tanjavur which still was about 7 hours drive
On our way to Tanjavur we experienced some technical issues with the Google Maps Navigation system that took lotbof time for us to navigate through small towns and villages that came onbthe way as we had to stop and ask for help from local people and then move ahead in the correct direction
During this journey we stopped at many places to have tea and coffee where we could taste the different types of coffee and tea that the locals serve
By around 6 pm we reached Pelembalur four road junction and this was the first place were we could see that the name Tanjavur was mentioned on road directions boards and gantry
Tanjavur was 73 kilometres from thisbtiwn and was about a 2 hours drive because by the time we reached Tanjavur it was about 8.30 pm
We settled for the day at the hotel that was very near to the central bus stand of Tanjavur
This place dosent have a restaurant so we ventured out in search for some good dinner butvto our surprise we encountered with idlis dosas uttapam at all places as later we were told that meals like whatvwe have atviyr home's that has Dal Rice Roti vegitables and others things are served here only in the lunch time and mostly at dinner people have idli dosa only
So we also had dosas uttapam for dinner and ended our dinner
