A Raider is a 1500 dollar gun that sells for under 700, sometimes under 600 on a good sale. I have one and it's the best 1911 of my collection to date. Feeds everything, shoots tighter than me, well fitted, tight, smooth, no rattles, good sights, and a great trigger. Tisas guns are underpriced because only of the exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Turkish Lira. If Turkey used the Euro as its currency, the guns would cost twice as much.
i have owned 100's of 1911's over the decades, and also 3 original Marine 45's, and the later issue 45a1's also.in the cerekote and ion bond deal.i give the raider a 5 star and a thumbs up for build and price. and function. a few other Marines asked me what to get. i said go the $700 bucks. route. and shoot and enjoy.Very few on the inter webs. can say they have had them all. And this one is a winner. and those who trash it. have no clue. WELL DONE job on the vid. and i have watched the dozens upon dozens of them on these Raiders. Semper -Fi
I really like that Tisas , it looks identical to the picture of the Colt made M45 A1 you displayed . I'm gonna check it out 'cause coincidentally a 1911 is precisely what I've had in mind as my next gun . Thanks for this video , well done !
In regards to the magazines, I own a B9 Duty 5” 9mm. It does NOT come with MECGAR mags. The Tisas mags aren’t the best. I’ve since purchased Nighthawk Custom mags for mine in 10rd. Tisas mags were 9rd. It sticks out of the bottom just a smidge but I plan on putting on a flared magwell and that should take care of that.
Mine are marked on the mag body, right above the baseplate. But they may use different manufacturers for different models ( I'm guessing?) The mec--gars I have work well for me, but I want to get some better mags because 1911s can be fickle about mags from what I understand. Hope you enjoy yours. Mine has been well worth what I spent. Thanks for your service and your reply!
Good review, Colts are cut to be looser always have been since 1911. That said I bought a couple TISAS and they run. As in several hundred rounds with no issues. (9/10/45) They are the best buy in the handgun market IMO!
Have 150 rounds of 230g hardball through mine with five failures to feed. Doesn’t bother me as break in is typically 500 rounds. Tisas Raider is very accurate. Can hit torso target all day long at 25 yards and about 3/5 to 4/5 at 50 yards. Just an excellent pistol. And you want a combat pistol, especially a 1911 to be a little loose. Loose means reliable in field conditions whereas a really tight 1911 will grind to a halt.
The raider is a cool looking 1911 but impossible to get hands on in my state so I ended up picking up the Tisas 1911 Night Stalker 45 since it’s hard to get the raider here
Hey that Night Stalker is a sweet looking gun!! Once you get your Raider, you’ll have two of Tisas’ sweetest. I carry the B9 Duty from Tisas. They make a great product.
@@iamnitrox Yeah, Shockingly my Tisas is kinda crazy tight. Not custom tight but close. Colt by comparison definitely has some rattle but I dont consider it a negative just a different flavor of 1911. Prioritizing reliability over a super tight slide to frame fitment. That being said, Accuracy comes from the bushing rather than the slide to frame. Great guns!
@@ArmadilloArmament I have one that I bought for under 400 that I'm maxxing-out at the moment with all kinds of toys. It's an exercise in learning, really. I bought the pistol, however, because the fit was really good. Slide-to-frame, barrel-to-frame, were all good. All you really need is to get a bushing and a spring kit to get these things really in great carry shape. The thing that I was impressed-by is the clark/para ramped barrel on the 9mm models. That makes the barrel fitment a little tighter, if done correctly.
