She also said she prayed that her own daughter had good hair. She has also made remarks about skin complexion before and came under fire. Which is why she references having had to reflect on things she's said that have come off as colorist. And a lot of things "we" were raised to do or not do is based around how white people will perceive us. Look at Blue's hair now...the way her hair looked as a baby has zero relevance.

Exactly! I actually had a man in early stages of dating (vetting process etc.) ask me why I regarded myself so highly that I felt he needed to lie to me. It was in response to something stupid like he told me he went somewhere one night then later the story changed and I called him on it because to me it was a red flag. His response told me that he felt like he could tell me any old thing like I'm boo boo the fool and I'm supposed to just accept it and not question him and who did I think I was anyway to question him.
