Mr Ruparel…..If you use Traka instead of Tira-Kita, you can go much smoother n faster in this Qayda….as u must be knowing that Traka is the short form of Tira-Kita. Am I right ?
That is correct. I prefer to play different Kaida for Traka such as DhaTra KaDhe Tete Ghina or Dha Traka DhinNa GheNa etc. Its probably better on balance to teach people how to play Tire Kita in these Kaids first because Traka is a separate subject. But I know what you mean.
Thank you Sulekh for this video. Very well explained. Can you tell what you played after tihai? I am a beginner and I always like the way next composition is played after tihai.
This is Vilambit Tin Tal and the bol are basically as follows: Dha Dhin DhinkraDhinDhin DhaGheTraka DhaGheTraka Dhin DhinkraDhinDhin DhaGheTraka DhaGheTraka Tin Tin---Traka TaTaTete TaKeTraka Dhin Dhin---TeTe Dha---Tit--- Hope it makes sense and good luck with playing it!
Hi. Thanks for the video. It was highly useful. Can you please also share the Bol of the Tihai that is played at the beginning and end of the presentation. Helpful if you could give any link of the background music too !!
+suneeth sekhar Thanks for your comments. The Bol of the Tihai was Dhaghena Dhatirekita Dhetete Dhaghena Dhatirekita Dhetete Ginadi Nagina Dha (2,3,4) (x3). The lehera was taken from iLehra for the Iphone. The Lehra was in Raag Hansdwani I believe.Good luck with your playing.
So I have shown an example of a Paran in my courses. The reason for this is to explain in detail what playing Pakhawaj style is, where to place the hand etc in a structured manner rather than simply 'putting it out there'. It will have no context or position in the whole subject of Tabla if I simply played one. Notes like Din, KraDhe, KaTa Dha, Kat TaDha require a bit more in depth work.
