Bought a Seastar 36mm for my son. His first grown up watch and we are both very happy with it. Quartz, 300m, quick release bracelet, milled clasp £315 delivered. Hoping it will last till uni.these Seastars are great.
I'm surprised no one has commented on the fact that you strategically filmed this around 10:10 so you and Bob both had watches displaying the perfect time for your wrist check. Brilliant planning and execution.
I brought this Seastar 1000 40 mm 3 weeks ago. Exactly this Blue/Black. I love this watch 2 months ago, and I go to the AD but no stock. Ordered and wait for 2 weeks and put on hand 3 weeks ago. Everything perfect except the 12 O clock triangular mark not lump. But I am not dive, so, a small problem only. Thanks.
Great , my Seastar 2000 I bought 2 weeks ago, I must say in 14 days my watch is running less that 1-spd, 11 seconds lost over 14 days is better than cosc specs fantastic I cannot believe how accurate that watch is.
Cracking review. Mrs HD thinks the dial looks a little like bark and reminds her of Grand Seiko. It’s a little busy for me with a lot going on in terms of finishing. Strap looks good and works well.
Nice looking watch. Dark Manta x Orient Raven vibes, but with a thoughtful strap. Perhaps Tissot are learning from the Chinese/allowing their Chinese factories freer reign on the design. Either way all good and can't wait to see them for sale at half the RRP soon. If only they'd plough into their amazing back catalogue then Tissot would be a force to be reckoned with. But, Swatch politics. Nice, succinct review as always.
This was a review watch so I can't say with this one but my black Sinn watches one 11 years is mint and just today I've picked up a Fortis black model which is 23 years and that one also looks like new
Question for the experts: Do the black cases suffer more from everyday knocks than the ‘raw’ ones? I'm assuming that the black is an overcoat that could come off if scratched, or is the whole case (inside) really black?
It's only a coating so can be scratched off, I find Breitling to have one of the easiest wear off and Sinn the hardest. Ive seen one or two watches look great when this happens as it give the watch real character
I have been waiting for a 40mm Seastar automatic as the 43mm are just too big, but they seriously dropped the ball here. The cheap mineral insert is horrible. I would have bought one if it had the nice engraved ceramic bezel insert like the 43mm models.
@@ClickSpringReviewI think this is a fabulous looking watch and great review btw. At this price point there is a lot of competition from well respected microbrands. Just a few examples, Wise Adamascus GMT ($720), Henry Archer Akva (about €520 with their discount code), Nodus Sector Deep ($600) would be my choice of alternatives! I’ve owned quite a few Tissot watches over the years (T Touch series and Moto gp) and have a soft spot for the brand.
@@rossdev Never heard of Wise, Archer and Nodus are brands I see of Facebook, After looking at all 3 I'd go with the Wise , Ps I had the first Gen T Touch back in around 2000 ish
@@ClickSpringReview I'm just a bit concerned by the escapement. It sounds like a maintenance nightmare designed for ease of manufacturing and low cost.
@@robertlock6041check this video out think it’s about 4 mins in. It’s a great watch but from a watchmaker perspective though ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0VKoZ_Bdd7M.htmlsi=hDiuPN3zUl9HHS2r
@@ClickSpringReview Wow! I didn't know that it was plastic: I'm glad that I bought a Muhle (and a Sinn) and not this. I assume that the plastic escapement parts are replaced in a service. This is always assuming a supply of parts, that is! I shall watch Kalle again! Thanks for this Barry, LG Bob 🍻
Yeah they would be but unfortunately we don’t have access to them. But I dare say it could be replace with a metal escapement but that would add around £100 to the price if the service
I really like the blue dial and case size 40-mm, but alas Tissot so cheap by not equipping it with butterfly/deployment clasp. That pin buckle just looks so chirpy cheap one 😢
