I started selling them this year and the price is doubled compared to china made capacitors but the quality is far better. This product is worth the extra cost and will cut down on call backs.
Asking seriously....are the US made units really better?....based on what?......failure rate?....customer call-back frequency and comparing both kinds?, ..or....is this simply thinking US made is better? As before, not angling for a fight, just asking on what basis you say this. Thanks.
Serious question......let's compare Titan *HD* ( note ! ....only the Titan HD line is made in USA....other Titans are Chinese).....let's compare Titan HD to Amrad, also US made. I'm talking the Amrad device that has a specific uF rating, .....not the Amrad Turbo 200 which covers all sizes. Which one would most pros or other knowledgeable people choose? And let's ask this---> Is "made in USA" over-hyped? I prefer Toyotas over Chevy's if dependability is a concern, and more-so for Japanese-made Toyotas vs US made.....there IS a difference. If shopping carefully, there are good Chinese products too. Not angling for argument, but fact-based responses. Thanks.
I have been using these for about 7 yrs. Up until recently they have been zero fail. It seems that the quality has fallen off in the past couple of years.
So Titan HD is MADE IN AMERICA according to everybody.. BUT WHERE?? MY VERY PRICEY HVAC TECH WHO I KNOW WAS RIPPING ME OFF DID NOT KNOW HOW TO TELL ME WHAT THE WARRANTY IS. I HAVE READ BETW 30-DAYS TO 7 YEARS! HOW DO WE FIND OUT WHO THE ACTUAL MANUFACTURER IS?? Thanks..
Does it really matter? Warranties in the HVAC industry are a sad joke. These things are $15 parts. Most HVAC contractors charge on a "flat fee" basis nowadays to help them get away with charging $300 for a $15 part and half an hour of labor. The standard 1-year labor warranty contractors usually include is the only portion of the warranty that really matters. Beyond that, the warranty on this part is probably only going to get you a $15 discount on the $300 ripoff cost.
MADE IN CHINA....I bought one today, 6/5/21. Titan Pro made by Packard, 45+5 MFD, 44/370....Clearly states MADE IN CHINA on packaging. I wanted one made in US really bad but my AC is out.
