What a splendid presentation, Phaethon! Here are some of my thoughts: -Meteor Rain works wonders with Strength-based Earth characters (Sigil of the Bast can help too). -A Diviner with Praxidikae, Marduk's Tablet, Ternion Attack, and Deathchill Aura, now gets a doppelganger for company too? Woohoo! -Perfect Block + Stone Form = Reflection build's paradise. Pass me my Icescale armor, please! -Much like Doom Horn, Slam goes splendidly with Spirit's Necrosis for amplifying the reduction to enemy's health even further. -Sylvan Protection is far better that what a first impression might suggest. -I would commend on both Poison Mayhem & Rune Field but I'm too busy preparing a build around them already, haha!
Thank you so much for your the time you put into this game and your audience. This new dream skill abilities is so amazing. Dream + staff ? Very fun and nice
Very good overview! Rogue is definitely my favorite by far right now with the new skills. Poison bomb was already good, now OP on anything but poison resistant enemies now. With a fairly low energy cost.
I like the new skills, but I feel like most of them are for melee characters, which are already the most powerfull type of characters in the game, casters could have used a little more love I feel.
@@jeffbryant8113 I know, but for example both hunting ones are melee only, not even one being for bows, storm has a pet one and a melee one, earth you can argue, but for max effect of both spells you'd have to be in the middle of enemies, which is not where you want to be as a caster so it benefits melee hybrid more, just weird how they don't get at least 1 proper caster skill instead
@@Llynethil If it's any consolation, there are some new intelligence based items with good minus recharge in Atlantis. And if tq db is accurate, there's even some non staffs which uses int. But only one shield with low strength requirements.
Thank you for the detailed analysis! I am a bit disappointed that the hunting skills are both melee focused, I was hoping that one was for the bow, and the other for the spear.
FYI, if anyone is wondering, if you just have the Anniversary Edition and don't have the latest expansions, Ragnarok and Atlantis, the top line of the mastery trees are just blank lines/spaces. You can see the extensions to the trees and also the extended points bar at the side, but the skills aren't visible or available.
Paul Nicusor --- Yup, I assumed you needed the DLC or something. I will get the DLC eventually, still playing the main game and first expansion -- Anniversary edition.
When I first saw it I thought meh only 1.1 seconds, and only +ms does not scale well but I can see your point. Still I think the other new abilities are better than this. Also: WHYY did they remove the damage block from your character sheet??
25:09 - what hammers are those? If I ever play this game again, feel like I want to make a Storm/Rune build and call it "Thor" wielding those kind of hammers.
Concerning the Bomb Mayhem new skill (the very last one you showed, throwing 5 poison bombs), too bad that multiple poison & bleed damage over time don't stack... Great video, thanks a lot!
To add to the blade barrier skill, I think the bleeding damage per second means it lasts only one second (otherwise it would've been stated like bleeding damage over x seconds) and after that is immediately reapplied and so on till the barrier wears out.
@Zoltán Novák there are x2 exp mods if want , 5-10 lv is 10-20 atribute points , mabie in the next patch they will bring lv 70 items now lv max is 65 and set items are lv 50-60
I have to disagree. In y opinion, level 85 is high enough. Limiting the available number of skill points forces us to make choices instead of just taking every skill. That constraint allows for more builds diversity, and I prefer quality over quantity.
Oh man think about the champion pet build ... Maxed out Nymph + 3 wolves + Ancestral warriors all the time (no need to use Refresh anymore) all while stunning everyone with War Horn. You only need -80% recharge; +4 to all skills and some pet items. I think I'm going to make a champion next =D
Love rogue skills, and rune mastery ones. But I play almost entirely pet ones, the nymph skill needs to be much longer, the hunting skills should have had one ranged, one melee. Love the defensive phalanx, reminds me of diablo 2 amazon with mod. Little annoyed that I play mostly with bows and pets and not much benefits me, but the rogue ones are really cool.
Spear Dance is actually great for bow builds as a saving grace in a tight spot. Arguably more so than for characters who are meant to face enemies in melee.
@@TheLineofEpicHeroes That's a good way of thinking! But don't find an excuse to the fact that you kill subscribers to be more powerfull in Titan Quest xD
Thanks for this video. I played Ragnarok when it released (and wasn't impressed, the weapon/armor art looked flat and amateurish) and hadn't played since, so I missed out on the new tier of skills with Atlantis. With Eternal Embers released, I'm playing through it all again (Ragnarok is growing on me, but the art still meh). For reading the descriptions it's very hard to visualize how the skill will work and what it does. For example, I assumed Slam was you smacking a dude in melee, not a line attack with long range! That's awesome!
I just find it crazy that my poison illusionist has basically the exact same build as yours... Assuming those are a Star of Elysiums, a captain's signet and a venom heart, the only difference is that I use two Star of Elysiums, a Venomhusk shield instead of priam's gate and Golden Eye of Sun Wukong instead of Arcane mirror!!!!! Edit: I use crimson viper now, not Golden Eye
Still, that is a huge skill. Combine it with Dark Covenant and you can make a dual wielding Spellbreaker that (at higher levels) doesn't need any potions.
Awesome guide, it kept showing up in my feed lately and decided to watch it. Sadly I do not have Atlantis DLC but I love it the new skills look mostly cool. I want to know, since they did not increase level cap, does that mean it is harder to gett all skills now, since it is necessary to get more skill points, or is that covered by some quest or something in the DLC?
Hey man thanks for putting the content about this awesome game out for people like me who grown up playing the original titan quest. I was wondering, how are you dual wielding hammers as a Rune/Storm (I think it is called thunderer) is there a special skill or something? I just bought both ragnarok and atlantis and I wonder how you are dual wielding without warfare
Ok I have just looked into it and saw that there is a talent "Reckless offense" in rune tree, awesome, probably gonna go with Thunderer build, how is it in your opinion? Is it good? How is it in normal/epic/legendary?
It is a good skill but i don't find it to be something special, the great thing about it is that it allows equipping 2 weapons which is very nice if you want to play such a build without Warfare.
Awesomeness dude ive just found this little gem. very underwhelmed by Diablo IV but i love the franchise i ive been playing for 20ish years, i absolutely love this game only have 2ish hours, its to see people still care about this game, im going to burn out, i bought grimdawn today aswell 🙄😅 keep up the great work
I haven't tried it yet, but I guess your suggestion of "stun-locking" ennemies with warfare mastery does work only with some recharge reduction as you have on your Legacy build, doesn't it?
Imagine this build fae. You choose earth and rogue mastery. Then you have to be useing Blade barrier skill and also poison bomb with this new addon and most important stone form.i guess you already know how this build would play. But if somebody don't understand let me explain.Example: you have many enemies around you, then you use taunt skill enemies comes to you,you use BLADE BARRIER,POISON GAS BOMB,ERUPTION SKILL AND AT THE END STONE FORM. So this way your stone form is at the middle of blade barrier skill,Many poison gas bombs hits enemies, eruption skill deals fire damage while you are imobilized in stone form and also enemies takes fire retalitaion from stone form skill☺..one more important thing is too have 80% recharge time reduction with this build to be able to cast all these skills all the time ☺ tell me what do you think about this idea fae
I think that if you can survive long enough to start using all of these skills at higher level, then you could probably go deathless with this build! Nice idea!
as for earth skills: meteors are kinda meh, since they fall randomly. But fire nova would be great for melee character. u run into action and cast. its large radius sets every on fire. you can kill melee enemies and ranged ones will already damaged once you go after them and also will be of a headache while you fight with that impaired aim.
Yes the Nova is for Int builds (past normal difficulty) while the Meteors are for Str builds. Both are for thinning out large crowds - like Earth's description has always promised - with Nova doing weaker but consistent damage while Meteors hit hard but randomly.
I'm looking for a good fun class I like the idea of a magic kind of build is your former Zeus build still valuable? I like a class where I can also heal myself a little and do some aoe damage as well but also wanna be good, it doesn't have to be the best number one build but its preferred to be not last, what do you recommend for magic and for melee? I would like to have some aoe damage, be able to heal a little or to have some poison attacks or a build where I focus on poisoning and have DOT attacks. If you can't tell me about a build that has these things but advice me a difrent good and fun melee and magic build you could tell me aswel, I want your advice could you respond and answer to me please?
Given what you are looking for, Dream mastery is very good, you can get healing skills and aoe skills as well and it works nicely with all masteries, for some poison-bleeding dot attacks you can go with Rogue mastery and use some traps along with other skills. If you want a build based on poison dot type then check out the Venomous Bride build which plays with Nature + Rogue mastery.
You are not supposed to use all skills of your build so you don't need more skill points, there are no more skill point rewards which is good for the game.
Yes, Ancestral Horn summons multiple ghosts, the one in that case was summoned by the Key of Elysium legendary weapon that i use which comes with the same skill but summons only one ghost at once instead of multiple.
