Titan Quest: Ragnarok (2017) is an action RPG and a welcome expansion to a game created in 2006. Titan Quest is best compared to Grim Dawn, a more recent title, in its mechanics and overall form - the emphasis is on solo progression rather than online trading of items.
Pick up the Ragnarok expansion if you enjoy character building as I believe this release excels at itemization, but first try the Anniversary Edition or play Grim Dawn to see if this style of aRPG is your jam.

I’d like to see some videos on Grim Dawn. I started playing but then lost interest. Then tried playing again and couldn’t figure out what the heck I was doing. I still really enjoy Titans Quest. I like trying out the different builds. I wish some of the drops were better. I seem to get the same things over and over again, and find it difficult to ever get a full set of items and I have 300+ hours in the game. Probably impossible to get the armor sets that have 4-6 items. I never get more than 2.

Ahh I sympathize about the sets. I have never completed a set either, besides Kriegs, and never really even think about them in my builds. My guides for Grim Dawn will cater towards the non "decked out in legendary items" side of things. Also, next xpack will make target farming sets easier. One of the Grim Misadventures goes over this - you can find it on their website and forums. Just to clarify - I fully intend to make GD content leading up to the xpack, I am just conflicted about the summer (I am betting on a Q4 expansion release).

17:08 You question the helmet from the "Aspect of the Wild" set. "How do you live with this?" This is pretty commonly dropped item from a "Aspect of the Wild" set. With 2 items in set you get +33% Elemental resistance, and you get +100% to cold resistance from chest item. Also, each item of this set gives +1 to Nature Mastery, resulting in total +4 (and +6 to Call of the Wild total) -> 3 wolves on steroids. That's how you live with this. It is a pet master set. Also, +4 to Nature means potential + 4 to Permanence of Stone, and I don't need to explain how much in Elemental resistance it is. Other notable advantages of this set is +95% Health/Energy regeneration, 100% stun, -25% recharge. By itself this helmet is trash. Within 4 items set (which is not that hard to obtain, every bozo drops this in Epic) it can serve well on Legendary.

I am just getting back into tq from when it was og... @ 17:00 you are talking about a couple of helms. While I get you were making a point of the great resist Chromatic Diadem is; is Call of the Wild that bad? One of my toons is a druid ice sharder and the 100% stun resist is the thing that makes me wet. The nuke dmg and stun are the only 2 things that can stop me, as I have never had the item and only dream of it, does it work as it seem?

Its funny how green items are usuallly better than blue ones because of enchantments by relics.

Channel Update included for those of you who follow vid to vid. TLDR: About 3 or 4 more TQ vids to come for now and then a healthy hiatus. Another ARPG will get the spotlight for a bit, maybe Grim Dawn, maybe Path of Exile. While I am undecided, I would appreciate feedback one way or another! I will consider what you guys would like to watch and then see how things go in June. Thanks!

Game has a unique experience and in my opinion it doesn't feel that real when you equip a new character with previously found legendaries. Until now i played Diablo II, Sacred, Arcanum, Torchlight II and TQ. For me TQ suits best for self-made characters and having such guides for self-found characters just makes me happy in a way. Throwing in top notch items in a character and calling it a "build" can never be more precious than this way of guiding. Thank you.

despite me loving this game, the huge drop in resistances in higher difficulties is a problem. you basicaly can't take equipment who don't give you any resistance whatsoever, or else you get oneshot. this really limits the way you can build characters, and it makes many epics/legendaries either completly op or useless.

@@Jormungand47 please, I really don't like grim dawn, but at least there you can use your builds the way you want, and are not locked into only a handful of legendary items .

A bug to be wary of: If you enchant your items directly, you always roll the best bonus. You enchant one by one, or put 4 relics on item and final one on it. If you enchant your relics and charms in inventory, you get random bonus. That goes for PC, not sure if they have the sam exploit on other platforms. For mobile, achiles always rolls atk speed when used on items, and artemis bow rolls flat piercing damage. In inventory, random bonus when completed. Also, not sure if they fixed it, but worth a try

When you say that every build uses Stonebinder's...would you say that a Solo Self Found inteligence based mastery combo (like an oracle or an elementalist) character should invest some points into Strength just to use Stonebinder's because they are that much OP?

What about physical resist? Is it worth capping? Does it also (partialy) reduce pierce?

I know i'm 3 years to late but maybe someone in the future will read this as well: Physical resist is one of the best resists in the game but it's very hard to come by. It's much more rare and comes in smaller magnitudes. An armor piece with the veterans prefix is always a nice choice for phys res. Is it worth capping? I'd say no, if that means you have to sacrifice other resists. It's nice to have good baseline (maybe 20-30%) but i wouldn't go overboard with it. It does however not reduce pierce damage, that's a seperate dmg source which gets only mitigated by pierce res.

I have tried a melee prophet (storm/dream) before in anniversary and found it a little squishy in melee since it had to wear int gear (I would not be surprised if Freyja's chest fixes this full stop). In general, since you cant crit with DoT, I feel that DoT is best applied at range. Added to that, any DoT applied by a weapon will simply overwrite itself with every swing. I believe this is viable (anything is) but not ultimately on XmaX. You might need 425 Dex +Added DA +Freyja Chest along with squall to survive legendary though. One last thing, the Albino Spiderweb is retaliate EB damage, but all retaliate is scaled separately (with level - Developer confirmed). Therefore, it is no better on a prophet than on any other character. Just FYI.
