Lol at you thats not even how Vortex sheild. shoot at ground for aoe damage laser shot is just fucking stupid especially when you get goosed tripwire just go around it laser core just core the ion before it cores you

Kelvin Lee laser shot (to be fair, vortex shield is pretty alright too) is basically all that makes ion powerful. if somethings a problem let's not destiny all our hear, the volt is already useless. do something that raises the skill floor instead. slightly smaller circle, less aim assist since its basically "hip-firing," even damage fall off at far/very far (if you need to zoom in you should notice the damage drop off. I'm an ion main, but currently, the issue ion has is laser shot imposes on northstars job. damage fall off/redicle adjustment with a little damage fall off (take it to 2/3 a health bar at max range.) remember an ion has to poke you twice and not use any other abilities or shoot her gun in order to get laser shot recharges. unbalanced? not as unbalanced as the g2 compared to the hemlock, where as a headshot should take you to 3 shots from 4 not from 3 to 2. need a tweak? sure. let's agree to make pilot kills a wee harder and reel in damage so northstar can reign supreme in far-very far. maybe their thought was since they increased stryder class speed they're more agile, however, I still crush Northstars in ion when they're on northstars range. hitscan vs projectile with comparable damage numbers. It's a given. I really don't want respawn to pull a bungie and nerf the fuck out of fun.
