No, he didn't. He planned on doing what he did, yes, but he didn't plan on saving Copper. He saves him once the protocols reseted, once protocol 3 starts running
@@santiaguitogarcia1 not really, he send them the dropship coordinate before that even flash up so he already thinking about how to save him from the start. Just as he say "I have done the math"
@@santiaguitogarcia1 then what is the point of sending them dropship coordinates if he gonna destroy that thing. If he just want to destroy the core and only want to save Cooper after, then he would just tell them to move they dropship away.
@@shikniwho7215 Jesus man, BT wants thinking of saving him until protocol 3 started working again. All three protocols must be followed by the robot, since BT was malfunctioning and resetting itself he wasn't following protocol 3, just protocol 1 and 2. Once BT fully reseted the protocols, he saved the pilot.
I don't know how many have noticed this. But unlike most games where our attachment to other characters are built through exposition or story elements Titanfall 2 does it through gameplay. You are not told that this person is important to you or that you have a good connection with it. You experience it through gameplay. You need the Titan and the Titan needs you and you play through the entire game like that. It forms a much more relevant connection because of that.
Playing through this game was like the experience of watching a really fun, well made action Hollywood movie. It might not be the most original plot ever, but it's a such great time
I think he says trust me instead of goodbye Cooper because the binary code of the mask at the end of the game means "Jack?". I think BT knew that he'll be alive. We need Titanfall 3!
klgrl53 ikr?? I mean that ending scene is just wrong, If it wasn’t BT we couldn’t survive the first 10 mins of the game, and if you didn’t feel like even a little enraged when BT was captured then you should just quit playing right away, then the damn robot sacrificed itself for jack and what he has to say is like “yea I kinda liked it”... I mean duuuude just go back to infantry you don’t deserve to be pilot.
BT is still alive, he probably downloaded his AI into Jack's Helmet. Perhaps this is why the Helmet is flipping out at the the end. Or could be Morse code.
During a mission where BT doesn't have direct contact with Jack. He tells Jack that he "uploaded some of his AI" into Jack's helmet so they could still talk. So that's what the helmet means.
What about the neural link? BT said it was 90% complete when Sarah said to BT that she was going to assign BT to another pilot. I expected the neural link to be completed almost at the end of the campaign. For those who don't know what a neural link is; A neural link was the term used to describe the telepathic connection between an operating machine (for example the Titans in Titanfall) to a human, allowing them the act as one mind in the Collective. (Theory) But I am not sure where the downloaded neural link would be. While BT was downloading cooper's feelings and ways for him to feel as one with the Titan (BT). BT had also had to download his own system and memory for him and cooper to be as one perfectly. But where would the downloaded neural link will be? I believe it would be installed/downloaded in cooper's helmet where it can story many and multiple information. Now I am just saying this that doesn't mean it really happen in Titanfall 2. It's a theory!
@@damianmiguel_ yup, he downloaded some AI onto his helmet that's why you can see a code. :) also apex legends take place 30 years later so thats a big gap between titian fall 2 and apex.
I was bored and tried to translate the helmet visor's flashing. It turns out it's binary code. The lens flare flashes are 1, and the flat colored ones are 0. When translated, it says "Jack?" Look into it yourselves and try to draw your own conclusions.
Teh Donut During the time-hopping mission, BT said that he had copied some of his AI programming to your helmet to assist you in the past. I think what we're seeing in the binary flashes is BT's fragmented programming reaching out to Jack.
A mission earlier on confirms BT’s survival. When you’re using the time travel device, BT tells you he uploaded parts of his AI functions in his helmet so he could talk to you in the past.
@silver dragania Not actually he only downloaded a way to communicate. The pilot helmet was not made the hold as much information and AI as advanced as BT’s, unlike his data core which was made to hold that. It's supported by the fact that in the end credits the flashing lights on the helmet translate to “Jack?”. Meaning that by can still somehow talk to jack.
@@PlayBoX-qq9kr alright fair enough so limme get this straight: BT transfered some of his AI to the helmet to talk to jack and since he could very still be "alive" could BT with the help with the entire crew transfer from the original core through the helmet to another core? it could take ages sure but at the very least BT could still serve jack if it is possible
@@john34261 well, my theory is far-fetched but maybe somehow BT was able to do the math on what would happen during the last mission while he was on the effect and cause one. So he went into a time rift while Jack was doing the mission and communicated with Jack after the battle. I know it’s far fetched but I can't think of a better way that BT could still be talking to jack. This could explain why he said my analysis indicates a throw is our only option before resetting protocol 3 meaning he could have know what would happen.
r4 it’s like destiny and bungee, bungee had destiny Easter eggs all over halo 3 ODST way before they started development on the game itself. So most likely yes, they had apex legends all planned out by the release of Titanfall 2
Apex predators where a mercenary group in this game, I think that the creators just took something from this ip and put it into another game so it can be in the same universe
Oh yeah I knew he would be alive. That is something you have to pay attention too in the game however. During the time travel mission bt uploaded some of him self into jacks helmet. BT is alive respawn would not kill of a brand new lovable character like that so quick.
Tf did I just say? Did you even play the game? His chassis was almost destroyed but not his program. THATS WHY JACK TOOK HIS EYE OUT BECAUSE THAT WAS HIM. Come on now I can't be smart for other people too.Bonnie
Logan Horsley yes it does dude it's all over Reddit and considering I took a programming class where we learned binary and I have seen multiple people do the math and translation it does indeed translate to "Jack?"
I cried the first time I thought BT died when he was shot through the cockpit. Then when I got the new Titan I was like ok lets go BT! Time to mess em up. Then I thought he died again in the last explosion and just stared at my screen until the credits were over in a D: sad face. Now I know he's still alive ^_^. I'm still emotionally unstable though.
@@monkle8195 no she aint a pilot, pilots control titans and have jumpkits and all that good stuff, pilots also have godlike skills. If Valk was a pilot, she would win the apex games effortlessly everytime
@@freebox_ASC no. Blisk sees that jack killed all his best soldiers and realizes he’s a skilled pilot so he’s inviting him to join the mercenary group, the apex predators
@@agenthitler4498 NOOOO THERE NOT THE SAME THING peopel get this mixed up all hte time the preditors are his personal bounty hunting group but after the war theres not much of that to do so he started the apex games with his money and the legends are that apex games competitors
for people who liked bt in the time travel mission said pilot i uploaded some of my ai in to your helmet in order to comunicade between timelines his helmet flashes in the end that is a morse code that translates into jack? plus you can kinda trowing his sere kit look when he explodes in the arc how one singe part flies out like a sere kit and then everything else came out
The part that kills me is that BT reinputs Protocol 3 himself. It clearly shows the protocol was bugged, and just like the prompt the player gets beforehand, thats outlined in gold once selected, Protocol 3 is outlined in Gold as well.
I love the way they set this scene up. The voice glitches and visual bugs justfiably make the player doubt that BT is alright, so when he says "I have done the math", you're inclined not to believe him. It doesn't matter anyway, you're probably 100% on board with dying alongside him by now. Then when he throws you, despite the rupturing of the terrain around the fold weapon, you land on solid terrain, with a path to the dropship - so either you're the luckiest pilot in the Militia or BT simulated the whole explosion of the fold weapon in literal seconds and threw you just right, even when he was barely operational. That's why we trusted him.
“BT, Cooper, our ground teams can’t make it there in time! You’ve got to find a way to destroy the Fold weapon from the inside - there’s no other way!” “Commander Briggs, I believe I have a solution. In its exposed state, my reactor core may be able to de-stabilise the Ark the at the centre of the Fold weapon” - not sure why but this dialogue plus the music in the background always gets me teary eyed.
also BT is still alive remember that one mission when you are traveling through time BT said to be able to talk to cooper he transmitted him self to his helmet that is why his helmet was doing that at the end
This was one of the best game ending. BT was A character that we all got to know and live. We wnt with him with so many things. The ending actually made me cry because BT was such a great Titan. He will go down in history. He was the best one. Titanfall 2 was such a great game. And i always Replay just so i can see him again. And he will have a place in my heart. No matter what. Thank you for reading this
Not going to lie, one of if not the most badass villain thing to do. Not only dose it prove that he is a True merc. Only willing to lift a finger if he gets paid. Also shows that he has no allegiance period. even willing to offer his enemy, someone who killed his men and closest allies a job. Guy only cares about one thing and one thing only, money. And i have to respect that.
when i first played through the ending i wondered why BT kept saying "my analysis indicates a throw is our option here", i knew that he wasnt just saying it because he was glitching because every other thing he said was relevant to the current situation. but then it all made sense, BT was already planning on throwing cooper at the last second when he sacrificed himself, he knew that cooper would try to stop him if he didnt let him come along. so he tried not to tell him until it was too late for cooper to do anything.
With the helmet scene at the end, the dim light represents a 0, while the full glow is a 1. With this is mind, the flashing translates to "Jack?" in binary.
To go from no campaign to this in a sequel... they nailed it.. my most replayed campaign and rewatched campaign in any game. Its such powerful and well structured story telling. Can't believe I cry so hard over a damn robot.
Samothelizard 21 he's got to be alive cause he was still Nuro transmitting with the head set I think if that make a third one they'll have him in it tbh
B.T might be alive. His fragments of his A.I is still in Jack's helmet, but Ethan not a chance. Atleast he's with Ghost, Gaz, Soap, Reznov and other Cool CoD characters
@@CeretPenyok I know I'm literally a year late but Iron Giant didnt die...his parts just scattered around the world and were being assembled at the end
So I wear contacts, and sometimes I forget my eyedrops at home. They get really really dry and start to bother my eyes. I've come to watch this multiple times to ensure my eyes stay lubricated throughout the day 🥲
Not going to lie, I cried at the ending. Hell, I was upset when I thought that BT died at the beginning of this level. I told BT that I was willing to go with him to the end of the line. I was shocked when he threw me out before he died. I was devastated. Damn good ending and my Game of the Year for that year.
I remember that a glitch forced the warthog to fly over the ship you're supposed to land on and yet the cinematic plays where you land it...... nailed it
I just finished the game, and I'm drowning in tears. This game is goddamn amazing, the bond we create with BT is...simply unexplainable. ...For a few minutes, a sense of loneliness came over me, knowing that we might never see BT again. It's different to when my favourite character in a show dies or something, it's like losing a close friend, someone I could rely on. Fuck I'm crying even harder as I write this. I'm so glad that I played this game. I'm so glad that I got to meet BT and go on this journey with him. BT-7274, I love you. (...well, I'm just going to go back and play campaign a few more times (God I think I get attached to others wayyyyy too easily, I was yelling BT's name so many times when I was parkouring above the clouds to get to the plate or smth. It's kinda pathetic actually.
You're not the only one who was screaming BT's name my friend...I did as well...and it's not pathetic. It proves that men also cry...and that's totally okay...
For those who don’t know, the flashing on the helmet is actually Morse code. And it translates to “Jack?”. Meaning that BT’s AI is still alive in jacks helmet.
BTW, I don't know if anyone has really noticed this, but if you choose not to respond to BT while in the cannon chamber you will come across another ending in which it has different dialogue, "Goodbye, Jack" is the only time BT referred to Cooper by his first name.
Am i the only one that actually shouted no when bt said trust me? cus i got grounded for waking up the whole house and now i wanna know if others are in the same situation
