Another winner Tony! One thing I find helpful, and God knows I need the help, is to go to a private match alone (Attrition is good) and practice taking out the AI you can focus on your aiming and not have the pressure you encounter in a multiplayer game. I do this for about 10 minutes before I start my gaming day it makes a good warmup and helps me work on my aiming.

My aim sucks, even with a mouse. That's why I steal batteries for my team :-)

The settings for my controller sensitivity are High (4), Steady Aim, Deadzone and Movement deadzone are small and I feel like I am still fast when trying to ADS or moving around in general to wall run and gain speed.

I like the flatline because it shoots side to side rather than going up, it really helps with my shit accuracy because if I miss the recoil may get a few "happy accident" rounds in the target. and for people with bad aim I'd suggest legion, his spray and pray style will help with aiming, timing, and it will help your team substantially, not to mention the overlooked insta-anti-pilot-manuver which is the close range burst. not many know, but it acts like a shotgun and completely eradicates rodeo happy pilots. to keep myself moving and out of enemy fire, I use the grapple. I find it's a personal choice as long as you make it hard to hit you. my boost is an extra battery, because muh titn skils. that's what I think somebody should run to gain improved accuracy.

You use a controller on an FPS on PC? :o You're a brave man.

There's advanced sensitivity that can change on how the thumbstick behaves. Which it can make you much more accurate than just changing the basic sensitivity.

I'd just like to know why mine changes from game to game. In attrition it seems at times two fast. And when I'm in a lobby with a guy who running 20+ kills my sensitivity seems slow. And in pVp it's the same. Not to mention my reticle moves like its possessed on stationary targets.

I don't mean to sound like a troll but considering the immense custom control the advanced controller settings give players I'm a little disappointed that this video basically can be summed up as "whatever your sensitivity is; if you're missing shots you think you should hit just lower your sensitivity". I appreciate the sentiment that it's important to slow down a little to do things right but TF2 is supposed to be fast and custom controller sensitivity made a world of difference for me and I think you could have easily made a much more in depth and informative video about how those settings work and which ones to tweak depending on the issue your having. For instance having a high ADS sensitivity is good for some weapons but makes others difficulty to place on target for instance an AR vs a DMR or pilot weapons vs titan weapons. I took the time to get a feel for the default custom sensitivity settings in the gauntlet and decided that I wanted my outer zone to be as far to the edge of my thumbstick movement zone (the outer zone is the area where moving the reticle begins moving faster because of the outer zone hip/ads speed settings). When I did this I noticed I could make slight adjustments to my reticle placement quickly without over/under-shooting. This means that now I can use any pilot or titan weapon in hipfire or ADS more reliability regardless of the zoom factor and I don't have to sacrifice mobility because my extra hipefire movement speed is still high enough when pushed to the edge that I can easily connect wall runs around 90 degree corners or turn 180 mid run to change my destination. If you really want to help console players who struggle to get their controller sensitivity comfortable across all weapon platforms I'd highly suggest you play around with these settings in the gauntlet and private matches to learn what each setting does by min/maxing them and then taking the default values and moving them up and down on notch at a time to see if 1 increase or decrease makes things better for most situations or worse. As an analogy treat the settings like an eye exam, take the default and tweak one value related to your struggles (not moving up/down fast enough or too fast) and run the gauntlet to see if it feels better or worse. The point is to make it so you can acquire a target while moving without sacrificing precision or mobility and honestly the basic options for simple hip and ADS don't make it easy for average pilots who may be accurate on foot to be accurate in their titan. At least this is my opinion, but I've only got about 3.5 days of play time and a gen 8 pilot so other players may not see the need or want to put in the time to really hone their sensitivities.

I don't understand, I finished the campaign on normal, hard and even master, I thought my aim was good and that I was going to get more than 10 kills per match, but the reality is that I ended up in a crowded place full of sprinters who shoot me in the back and who live in high places

I have my settings on I think 6 and definitely steady. I might try and go back to classic, but I can't remember there being much difference between the two options. I haven't tried messing with the other response curves.

I’m on day 5, first 2 days of multiplayer (after campaign) I was dropping triples etc. I run ALC. I ran apex before so, messing with alc A LOT I kinda get it. But, the lobbies are hard, and I want aim assist, accurate, but fast. I can do that with Titan with what settings I have, but sniping is insanely slow. I feel as it gets harder, I want faster, but it impedes accuracy. I’m not about to make 50 alc vids for Titan like I did Apex 😂😭

I'm having problems on PS4, it's like the deadzone is preventing me from looking downwards. It fights against me when I'm pressing up or down.

You know this video is old because tony is using alternator and is scoping (usually), and 2 there are 2 charges on phase shift Still good though

I just watched this again and am amazed at the range you get kills with that Alternator. Good job... it has helped me with my aim. You used the PC for this video but how do you set sensitivity with Xbox, PS4? On the screen shot It looked like the PC since there was no ADS Sensitivity and I would like your thoughts on that...

beyond the sensitivity settings, what are your best tips for how to get my reticle on a target? how do i deliberately practice this without the constant pressure of dying before i can practice my aim? how do i best use aim assist to find my target and lock on? Or should i just always ADS and then try to find my target, hoping i get them?

i play bf4 and bf1 with a sensitivity of 83, but when the hit reg is good i will bump it up to100 sometimes. what would that relate to in tf2 and.........is it even transferable as they are both very different games. i am probably more" twitchy" with my aim style. also seems lime the setup options are very different between games. new to tf, but bf player since day one.

you should always slowly increase your sensitivity, if you can master high sensitivity, there are literally no downsides, unlike PC

Ugh, it's 2021 and my aim is still horrid. I'm moving the reticle to fast, but i can't lower my sensitivity any further. It's allready at 3.

I play 6 5 on linear and its so comfortable cause the aim assist doesn't kill my aim so i can make a lot of adjustments and my dead zones are small

It’s funny how I went from 7 , 6 for sensitivity to a 5 , 5 after a year of not being online

maybe it's different on xbox, but I play on ps4 and the sensitivity settings are something along the lines of: very low, low, default, high, and very high, or something like that. I need to actually go back and check it, but I know for sure it's not numbers like you're describing. I'm sure the same basic idea applies? Find what works for you and get good with it?

i'm PS4 player and i always aim to the enemy whether they're far away or they're within my short / point blank vision, should i stick with it or keep aim while the enemy is far away only? i still don't understand how the auto follow aim works since i did not play many FPS game at all, thank you
