I doubt many didnt even know they have their own animatons, well here they are, hope you enjoy the brutality of lifeless machines going at each other. Music from freesfx www.freesfx.co.uk
I was once in Titanfall the old one, and I walked up the stairs, to find a friendly Spectre holding a grunt by the neck and it ripped out his heart then dropped him, turned around, then saluted me... lol wow.
The big AI battles definitely need to make a return in TF3. What's the point of having all these kill animations if you never see them? And like you said, the way AI used to acknowledge you during casual moments was awesome
Yeah, I saw a grunt with an injured leg crawling away from a spectre and his squad was helping him and the spectre just picked him up and shot him. They really were pretty terrifying in the first game.
The attention to detail in this game is incredible, especially the levels that take place in the testing facility and my favorite mission "Effect and Cause."
I'm a little late, but this is nothing. Back in Titanfall 1, grunts had individual dialogue lines about home or their wives or their current situations etc. there were likely over a hundred conversations, and the playfulness varied depending on whether the grunt was IMC or Militia. Grunts even had their own combat routines and cqc fights; my personal favorite is where one grunt 1 v 3s other grunts.
Ah yes i remember those. It was always a nice tough when you enter a building during an intense multiplayer fight and see a couple of enemies grunts taking on ally one and then you help him and the thanks you for it. It felt good. Now in Titanfall 2 the only thing they do is shoot like star wars stormtroopers. Very rarely i see any unique animations playing.
Grunts also have a ton of random animations aswhell, from dragging wounded allies, getting startled, taunting, cooperating with other allies, wounded last-stands, to having a full blown outburst of rage, followed by a mental breakdown and recollection of themselves. So much little detail you rarely notice, but every now and then makes you stop and watch
Saitama, The Strongest Man or perhaps add a boost that makes you temporarily look like a grunt so that enemy pilots will mistake you for a grunt and under estimate your aim
Or a survival mode where you play as an ordinary grunt with other players, surviving waves upon waves of spectres and stalkers, but you can place traps and stuff.
Ive been playing titanfall 2 for YEARS now and never knew this existed, I can vaguely recall seeing grunts occasionally doing more than just shoot one another but the grunts, spectres and stalkers having their own executions is totally badass. Also as a side note I love how each of the executions seem tailored to their users, with the stalkers obviously being brutal and cold killing machine and the spectres being weaker but more suppressive based foes, along with the grunts preforming CQC on one another in a realistic way. This was a real eye opener and I will keep an eye out for this in the future, thanks!
It's all in multiplayer but it's just very hard to witness since everything spawns so close to eachother and how chaotic it can get and they don't really fight in buildings anymore unlike TF1
I only recently found out they could do this, when replaying the Campaign when you get that beam weapon for fixing the satellite grid. You can use it to hack the Spectres before the enemy can bring them online and make them your allies. I saw one grab a grunt and twist their arm, before bashing their face in. I always loved the amount of detail they put into these kinds of interactions because they didn't need to do this. They didn't need to have the random AI be able to execute each other, because more than likely 90% of players would theoretically just blaze on past it due to the fast pace action of this game. But I truly appreciate the work they put into this game.
i remenber the first time i saw a spectre execution was when you learn how to hack them were i hacked one and dude had no chance the moment he started to fight one of the enemys spectres grabbed him lifted him up and killed him
I like that when you are in a titan and near a Grunt, he's starting to ask for mercy at some point. I actually let him go when it happend to me. Great video by the way:) you deserve all those views, people like Grants, remember that.
When I was exploring Relic in a private match, I noticed that if you walk up to a (lone?) grunt in a titan, they just kneel down in defeat and accept their fate
These details make stalkers look like ruthless terminator-like enemies, and scary as fuck. Like the ultimate efficient killing machine, passionless and terrifying.
I remember in the first titanfall you would always see at least once in a game you would see a grunt and a spectre fight likely leading to a brutal execution.
I didn't even know stalkers and spectres had executions like that, I knew the grunts would fight once in a while but those? nice job bringing together all the executions.
They should make a game mode where you pick to be a grunt, Spectre, Reaper, and Stalker and they each have their limits just to see their perspective of the war for the robots and grunts of the battlefield.
Pilots can mow clusters of these things down, but to a grunt they may aswell be a bloody T-800. Implacable and able to break your bones as though they were but sticks of celery.
There's also a thing called "auto-titan executions." its where an auto Titan executes another auto Titan. And there not the same ones as piloted Titans. Which makes more unique. I wish this stuff could happen more often.
Just stopping during a match of Attrition to watch the grunts and spectres fight is so funny. Especially in close combat, but even them trying to fight at range is hilarious.
True story, when I walked past a corner straight in front of me was a stalker holding a marine from the neck. Then the marine was impaled. It was a horrifying sight
I’ve only ever seen the spectre choking animation but not these other ones, great to see them though. I kind of want there to be a game kind of like those games were you control a base and deploy troops to attack enemies so you can see these ai fights without worrying about being killed because the ai is so awesome Edit: by a game I meant a Titanfall 2 inspired game with spectres and grunts
hey thanks for making this vid, i always wanted to know how the stalkers and other infantry interact with each other on the battlefield. unfortunently its rare to encounter these kind of scenarios so thanks for showin us!
While I'm a Spectre man at heart those Stalker kills are brutal. I wish Stalkers were a scarier sight in battle. FD kinda fixed it by making them *sprint* which is pretty nuts since they've never demonstrated that before.
I wouldn't doubt for a second that the IMC used the Stalkers to Execute Surrendered Mililia Grunts just to save the bullet. They'd line the Militia up on their knees. Then have a stalker go behind them and one by one, punch a hole through each Militia back. That execution is one hell of a way to go. Would be super brutal in First Person. You would the see the hand coming out of your chest.
I like the 3 execution when the stalker stops the grunt’s punch breaks his hand punches him a lot and just stands there in till the grunt falls like ok fall now I SAID FALL!
