It's my understanding that the ship was going very fast, for it being that late at night with limited visibility. There were numerous careless "errors" that led to the disaster.
Captain was warned there were icebergs in the area but increased the speed anyway. They should have never reversed the engines, they actually would have been better off hitting the burg head on.
200 people would be lost from the collision, White Star line would need alot to repair and probably take parts from other ships, they'd also have to clear the bodies and the crew would possibly be blamed for the casualties
@@CrystalX670 Isn't Crack a drug? Did they have Crack way back then? I suppose that might explain their high pitched voices as it is a stimulate. Also if the crew were using Crack there is a good chance the Captain was & that might explain why they were going at Full Speed Ahead through an Ice ❄ Field? It's all starting to make sense now.
