LOL, I'm sorry but I got a mental image of Bernie standing against the front of the Titanic rail, screaming, "I'm The Queen of the World!..."Oh shit, I'm about to fall in with the dolphins! Somebody grab my ass!"
My all time favorite film! The fact the special effects still look spectacular for a 24 year old film. No Marvel film can compare to that. Such a hard work put into this film!
Their was barely any special effects everything was practical ,they built a replica ship, the breaking off the ship was a large built toy pretty much lol
I love how early on in the film, Cal tells Jack "What made you THINK you could put your hands on MY fiance?!" and later on, Rose tells him, "Put your hands on me, Jack," giving Cal and her mother a huge middle finger and deciding that Jack is the one she TRULY wants to be with.
Leo and Kate had absolute phenomenal chemistry in this movie and I believe they are one of the biggest reasons for the success of this movie!! As you can see from my icon pic I am a huge fan of those two!! They are best friends in real life which makes it even better! ☺️❤️
My great great grandmother was on the other ship. She told the tales how fireworks were going off but they were really flares. Nobody in my family believed her until they saw the Titanic. Then they said oh that's what she was talking about!. Although this is a fictional adaptation, but if you want to see the truest story watch "It's a Night to Remember. It's and old film but you will NOT be disappointed!
Felt like Titanic tonight, so I came back to watch it with you again. Love the way you laugh. You're actually pretty adorable. It's nice to see someone allow herself to live "in" the movie. :) Oh, I just remembered something I wanted to tease you about. I thought it was kind of funny when you said, as you watched a real door being blown into the real hallway in an actual physical lower deck, the effects for this movie are good, "considering when it was made." The CGI in this movie was of the blends from the historical footage to the current footage and the really long shots of the ship in the ocean. But the entire last hour was shot using a 90%-of-real-size model Cameron had built. I couldn't believe it when I first read the filmed ship was 90% as large as the real ship. And as for when it was made, there's never been another one made today like that one. Love watching with you! :)
Awwww..when I was a kid I must have gone to the cinema like 4 times with different people to watch it and cried every time. The ending got me the most though....same as you 😭😭 it also introduced me to Leo and one of my biggest childhood crushes 😍😍
There is no actual film footage of the Titanic (pre-sinking) in the movie. All the shots of the ship with people walking around on it were done by James Cameron. If you want to see what Old Rose looked like in her younger days, check out the James Whale classics "The Invisible Man" and "The Old Dark House."
the sad thing is...all about this movie was real (except the love story of Jack and Rose)...the division between clases...segregation, the boats even Mrs. Molly was real , she tried to come back with the boats... the musicians playing music until the final
This movie is a classic and will stand the test of time. It’s a story of survival, greed, love, and duty. It has a drama adventure suspense. What’s not to like.
I saw this movie in theaters at the age of 17 when it came out, I was and still not a fan of this movie, but even I realize it was an epic masterpiece, so epic that this reel ran for nearly a year.
I'm 43. This movie hit theaters in November 1997 and came out to Blockbuster Video on midnight Sept 1, 1998. My birthday. I'll never forget how long the line was to get in the store for a simple VHS copy. It was like an event.
I saw this movie in the theater as a teen as well. I was with my boyfriend, but Leo ruined all others for me. I broke up with him the next day. I still have a crush on Leo, just ask my husband.
I know how you feel cause when I seen that movie for the first time when I was a kid I cried my eyes out like a new born Gerber baby especially when jack died cause i wanted him and rose survive together
@@BerniesChannel Awesome!!!!! Well i have to find some movies. But as a series. A great show is Wentworth on Netflix! I think you'll enjoy. Whenever you get time.
Man, this is a blast from the past ...damn, 24 yrs ago... ugh...We're around the same age I think, I was just finishing up my first year of college going into my second ...saw the movie 4 times in the theater.y
I love your reactions. Titanic is one of my all time fav movies, I’m 33. I found you cuz of your walking dead videos which is another production I love. Subscribing! Love you!
When him and Kate fight (her fiancé) and he flips the table that wasnt in the script he just did it so her reaction was real bc she wasnt expecting it.
James Cameron actually build the whole ass end of the ship and sunk it * somewhere in Mexico or South America ish i believe * which is why a lot of the shots of the flooding look so damn real
Leo has had a lot of big hit movies over the years but some of early movies like This Boys life What’s eating Gilbert Grape and The Basketball Diaries are worth a watch if you haven’t seen them
The Notebook and Bridges of Madison County are my favorite. Real tear jerkers but both beautiful love stories. Look forward to seeing more movie reactions. 👏🏼 Oh and Men of Honor is good too.
Only 3 people were pulled back out of the Ocean when the lifeboat returned (they didnt return until roughly an hour later, fearing if they did straight away the people would overrun the lifeboats and sink them too as stated in the reaction), one of those died a short time afterwards, so only 2 people who didn't manage to get initially onto a lifeboat survived! Most didn't drown, most were frozen to death in the darkness, how scary.
@Bita Bishopp Lifeboats on ships are never intended to carry every passenger, they're basically carrier vessels from one ship to the other and go back and forth between the sinking ship and the salvage vessel, lots of things made this disaster worse, but the lifeboats were not an issue with trying to maintain life
You make me feel old by saying it came 27 years ago! I was 12 and we sneaked into the cinema (the movie was from 16 years on)... it was SOOOO crowded, nobody noticed us children... and if so, they did not have time to handle with that! We paid in small coins, they didn't even had time to check if we payed the right amount... the atmosphere was amazing! And I had nightmeres about all the dead people for weeks... Respect the movie age, they put it on covers and posters for a reason...
About Mr. Ismay, (mustache man), he didnt actually push that much for full speed, he knew that the speed wouldn't be enough to make any records. And during the sinking he did help in loading lifeboats quite a lot. After he did this he was ordered into a boat by a crew member. After the sinking his life was ruined by an enemy in the press. (another small thing is 3rd class not being locked below decks)
So I saw this in theaters when I was 9. My parents couldn’t find a sitter for their date night… And it never affected me seeing people fall to their deaths, in fact Im ashamed to think I thought it was kinda funny in a weird way. Flash forward to 9/11 and being absolutely horrified and feeling helpless watching people do the same thing. This movie completely is different and tragic now. Especially as a mother thinking of people in 3rd class.
At the end of the movie where it shows Jack and the other people who died, was Rose dreaming that or was it really her going to heaven reuniting with Jack?
Ships are designed for front end collisions and if they hit the iceberg from the front of the ship may have survived and made it to new York or a shipyard Where repairs could’ve been made
Goodness yes. That movie is close to perfect. Mel really went there with that movie. Costume design and set designs ( even tho not accurate ) were so bad ass
My bf always laughs at me whenever I watch titanic cuz I get emotional.. but just imagine how large that ship was, and how many people from different parts of society. 109 children were aboard and if I recall correctly, about 53 of them survived. So sad. There were also like 12? dogs aboard, and like 3 of them survived.
Have you thought about doing standup comedy reactions? You talked about some of those other shows not getting views. Well, I see people with like 200 followers get tens of thousands of views reacting to Bill Burr, Louie CK, Dave Chappelle, Norm MacDonald, etc. Bill Burr has a good one on Titanic, which would be perfect
Liked the reaction, but I think you're way too hard on Bruce Ismay. It wasn't his fault they hit the iceberg and there's no evidence to say he had any influence over Smith's decision on speed. One mistake that was made on the collision was to reverse the engines. They should have gone full speed which would have given far more chance to actually get around it.
Hey Bernie! I just came from another channel where these girls just crack jokes and mug through the whole movie. I unsubscribed. Irritating as heck. Why do reactors think anyone wants to see that? So I discovered you tonight. I really enjoyed watching you "get" the movie. I cry every time I see this, and that last scene, when Rose dies and goes back through the ship, then is in the presence of all the people who died ... well that tears me up every time. Terrific movie, and I enjoyed crying with you.
I’d love to request two amazing and deep movies very different tho... either eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.. with mrs Kate winslet again and Jim Carrey... or ther movie THE COLOR PURPLE With woopie, Danny glover, Oprah and so many more
