Dan abnett is a God. I got to speak to him once, he helped me write a report on him in highschool. He collaborated with me via emails so I could interview him for my term paper on our favorite authors and our favorite work by them. It was a toss up between him or Lovecraft, but I had just finished the eisenhorn and ravenor trilogies. He is so crazy nice. I was introduced to his work through all his warhammer 40k and horus heresy books. Gaunt's Ghosts, Ravenor, Eisenhorn are three of the best scfi series ever written. Everything he writes is sublime.

I loved this comic so much, I also think this was a way for the Speed Force to help him get back in line with the frequency of the Earth he is on. I remember how Swamp Thing forced it on Superman because he was an irregularity and was effecting his environment. So Swamp Thing forced him to deconstruct and let go of the old and the past. Now Superman is the true Superman of the new 52. I think the Speed Force caused this to happen in order for Wally to be anchored and not lost again as Dr. Manhattan was trying to get to happen.

Thanks for the video Rob. I tweeted you a few days ago about doing a Wally West written by Mark Waid video not knowing that you were gonna do this video. THIS VIDEO WAS AWESOME. I kinda marked out seeing some panels from Terminal Velocity (which is a must read for any real Flash fan) birth of the speed force. I do feel that a lot of the things set up for Wally was just over done by Geoff Johns. The Fact that Wally is the reason the lighten bolt hit him and the chemicals on his visit to see Barry. Is because he fall into the Speed force while coming back from Zero Hour with Wave rider and it had a pinball affect sending him to different parts of his time line. he's looking on himself visiting Barry and part of the speed force breaks off and is attracted to him but hits his young self instead. He finds out He's the person that tells himself as a kid to keep dreaming when his parents are arguing. He also thinks he see's Linda death in the future. Once again this was great video. Also loving all the Hulk stuff over the holidays.

I grew up Reading DC Comics stories. back issues from 79 to just before Crisis on infinite Earths. 85/86! maaaan to believe that was 30 years ago!! love how Mark Waid made Flash serious. took a scientific approach. or sci-fi anyway. makes it sound believable! answers questions even more in Stop Motion a justice league novel.( not graphic actual novel)! anyways a great anecdote in back pages reader asked how does captain cold's freeze gun work. it was explained as miniature nuclear reactor. his response classic! " If I knew how to build one I wouldn't be writing comics for a living!" very very true! remember t have fun!!! that's the point of comic books. they're fun to read!

Wally doesn't need to run more than the speed of light, he doesn't even need to run near the speed of light! He can do it even at just 0.5% of the speed of light. In the panel it says he needs to cross 7000 miles in only 6.25 seconds, using the formula Speed = Distance/Time. You can calculate he approximately needs to travel at 1,802,465 m/s, while light approximately travels at the speed 300,000,000 m/s. And if you take relativity effects into consideration, his speed required decreases even more! THE SPEED REQUIRED DOESN'T COME ANY WHERE NEAR THE SPEED OF LIGHT!

I'm going from memory, but Abra Kadabra appeared as a mindcontrolled villain in JLA 61 and Batman referred to him as a future-tech user disguising his tools as a magic and an enemy of the Flash.

Abra Kadabra, although he wasn't named, was in a newer one of Justice League animated movies if I remember right where Flash even comments on the fact that he uses technology from the future that looks like he's casting magic. If I'm not wrong there might have also been a Justice League or Unlimited episode where he explains this as well. Not 100% but its strictly animated series so take from it what you will.

Yeah but after reading the most recent issue, of the Titans, we get the distinct picture that this Wally West is not the pre-Flashpoint version. Mainly because as Kadabra explains it, he threw Wally into the time stream and it backlashed and he was forgotten as well. But when we see him actually remembering how he did it, Wally was using his Kid Flash costume. Which directly contradicts the pre-Flashpoint period, because at the time there were two Flash's, Barry Allen and Wally West. Kid Flash was Bart Allen not Wally West. Also Kadabra hints that inside the time stream, Wally got access to the events of multiple timelines. Meaning what he's remembering, and forcing other people to remember, might not actually even be his memories. That this Wally is a pawn of Manhattan. Remember that Kadabra said Wally was the only one that could stop him was Wally, but when Lilith searched his mind, she says at the end that what seamingly troubled Kadabra the most was Manhattan. Now, she has no idea what or who Manhattan is, but we do. So if Wally was the only one he said was able to stop him, then why was he troubled by Manhattan? Unless of course, this Wally is one of Manhattan pawns, meant to undo everything Pandora tried to do by realigning what she said were three broken timelines, that were the timelines before Flashpoint. So is this Wally West the pre-Flashpoint version? All evidence seems to indicate the contrary. Even the lighting he emits from his body assumed the color or Manhattan's energy. So maybe the one's like Wally and Clark White, that believe themselves to be the pre-Flashpoint versions, aren't thee real one's. They were just made to believe they were.

I'd love to see your take on Grant Morrison's Batman run. I recently finished reading it and i'd love to hear your insight. Cuz I liked more the ideas (like the fifth dimension being imagination, the Joker's cycles, zur en arrh...) than the finished stories.
