most bots have already known engineering making it easy. Think the new Triggerhappy titans return has a more new engineering. Basically what highbrow and scourge do is not unknown and lends from the bumblebee/nightbeat mold. A lot of engineering is straight from combiner wars.
The instructions don't make any mention of this, but to get the landing gear on the guns oriented properly, you need to plug the magazines on Highbrow's guns into the hexagonal ports under his wings.
I always loved the Apache/Blue Thunder cockpit on this guy. I still have “a version” of this guy.. not sure which one. I used to have the original way back when, then I got one quite a few years ago, and now there is this one I must have... and XORT! 🤓
I watched this review and weijang oversized review. In both you overlooked the wheels on the guns and how to put the on so they are functional and prevent it from tipping back as you pointed out in one of the two vids.
Hey EmGo, the guns are supposed to be attached to the helicopter mode via the grey tabs and not the blue pegs so the wheels in the weapons are "usable" by the chopter.
I just picked up Highbrow today, I started collecting transformers for the first time last week, so far I've been able to find blurr, highbrow, swoop, jazz, and chromedome, and I picked up the Starscream out of the deluxe scale just because he's my fav character, but I will only be collecting the Deluxe scale figures, unless of course if it's Starscream. I did see hardhead and Dreadwind but there were tons of them at the 5 stores I went 2, I figure quantity will stick around till next weeks paycheck and I'll pick them up then...
Since the weapons have landing gear on them, why not flip the guns around and use those black columns as the pegs for the peg holes? That's what I've been doing
+Marc Fernandez that's why I brought it up. I know that technically it isn't a peg designed for that hole, but it does help balance it when you have the front landing gear down.
In the original series "American", the smaller bot "head" was the transformer themselves, the bigger body was just a lifeless shell they constructed in order to survive the harsh conditions of the planet they crashed on after evacuating cybertron. In the Japanese series the body and the head were 2 separate entities that if I recall correctly shared on body, with the smaller being acting as just head.
I recently picked up Highbrow and I noticed that the guns have landing gear molded on to them. Is there a way to place them on Highbrow with the landing gear down or is that just a Hasbro mistake molding them that way??
Just got him. Xort keeps flapping around, upside down, his head stuck inside the transtector neckhole. =) Not much use for the front landing gear since theres nothing in the back.
It's a reference to Pinky & the Brain from Animaniacs. P&tB were 2 lab mice usually in a plot to try to take over the world. Brain had the plans, and Pinky usually was the foil to that plan directly or not. Pinky usually used words of "Narf," and "Zort" to express various statements, not to mention coming up with weird and strange answers to Brain's question of "Are you thinking what I'm thinking Pinky?"
If only the PROPELLERS didn't smack into each other in helicopter mode. If you're a transformer that transforms into a helicopter with two propellers that smack into each other, there's something wrong. It's still a pretty nice figure, but I think the propellers could have at least been spaced apart by a slider or something.
Maybe I'm a biiit late to asking, seeing how many videos its been in, but what's the Headmaster he keeps using for G1 scale? (90's kid, I hate my generation XD)
I like Highbrow but mine has SEVERE bobble head syndrome and the hips on the headmaster are extremely loose, which kill most of my enjoyment of the figure. But it's still very nice
the bobble head issue is fairly easy to fix, you just need to put something(like a folded piece of paper or plastic) behind the grey tabs that hold xort's head. just make sure it that it's flush with the grey tabs so it doesn't interfere with the transformation. i used a piece of a nintendo e-shop card that i cut to the proper size.
Alpha Trion needs to actually make sense in the remaining Titans Return skits. Besides, the Decepticons would have blasted him knowing he is an Autobot (makes sense, given the corny stuff Alpha Trion says in the skits).
I was really surprised to see this transformer because I found a Arm of it and I was confused what it was it took me 6 months but I found out it was a transformer from this video so yeah
Now if my XORT wasn't incredibly loose, this would be perfect. All the others are though, and the looseness isn't truly bad, but it would be better if it wasn't loose.
Yup, he's been a reoccurring background character in IDW's more than meets the eye series. Also he was in the new institute (a lab where minds were tinkered with) along with Chromedome and Brainstorm (yeah apart from Hardhead the Autobot Headmasters have worked in the new institute and aren't actually headmasters, also they got head themed nickname's)
I dunno. I like both modes. Simple transformations don't bother me, though I do find them not as satisfying, but if it doesn't affect the articulation, who cares? Not like G1 had a whole slew of complicated transformations. I really like his bot mode. I'm going to have to see if I can find him.
Great review Emgo!!! He looks like a really good figure. I think Wolf Wire is my favorite so far but there really hasn't been a bad figure in the line so far.
