This guy's pretty much a "masterpiece six shot" considering it's just a direct upgrade with modern engineering. All he's missing are mildly posable hands and an insane price spike.
@@rjurmanovich I bought a used one on ebay yesterday for 50 including shipping and tax. No guns but not a big deal since I got it for essentially retail price
Kinda impossible lets be honest here, unless you wanna make it a part of the shoulders which from lookinh at the transformation woukd be quite the absolite nightmare (don't ask why im here 7 years late its cause i finally tracked down a fully intact six shot and gotta refresh my memory on this guy as preparation
I just noticed in most of his Modes, he has a maximum of 6 gun barrels.... they really stick with the six thing... they even did that on hexatron and the G1
for a modern re-imagining of g1, 10 out of 10. for a modern transformer though, I think all his modes should have a mandatory "". "car" mode, "tank" mode, "submarapistol" mode... etc...
fivefigures incluing this one I wanna get are highbrow, trigger happy, brainstorm, blurr and hard head but I just don't know how to do it on brainstorm trigger happy and highbrow
I think the joke for the opening would have been funnier if Mascot recognized him and said something like. "Oh God not again, your reviewing him this time, I'm out of here!" But that's just my opinion.
He's lighter than most leader figures from the last 10 years, but he's worth every penny. Definitely one of the best figures Hasbro has done in a long time.
I feel like these alt modes are the kind of thing you only really could get away with in the 80s. But then it turns into 6 things. That is cool absolutely so any problems are bypassed
First let me say thank you for this excellent review. I know the amount of work you had to put into this video and I truly appreciate it. I was on the fence about getting this figure and thanks to you it's become a must buy. I didn't think Hasbro had it in them to do justice to this piece but they definitely surprised me. Six Shot is the character I love to hate. I won't spoil why for those who have not seen the Japanese Heasmasters series but after watching that you may want to tear this guy servo from servo. Again thanks for the excellent review and keep up the great work.
emgo316, thanks so much for bringing us the video review for Six Shot onto RU-vid. Now, I haven't had the pleasure of getting Six Shot myself, mostly because I'm a bit skeptical about how well I might get all six of his transformations. But when the price for Six Shot on Amazon gets low enough, I might possibly ask a family member to get me that toy for Christmas. I'll be honest with you about two things I noticed so far. First, I also don't like the way Hasbro tried to alter Six Shot's gun mode. You say it's a boat, but Hasbro said on TFWiki.com that Six Shot's sixth mode is a submarine. But, on the bright side, his submarine mode could be easily passed off as a seventh transformation. And the second thing I noticed was you forgot that in Headmasters, Six Shot had a secret seventh transformation: a "winged wolf mode", which combines elements and parts of his jet mode, beast mode and gun mode. Obviously, people don't know how to recreate the winged wolf mode on the Titans Return Six Shot. But if you could recreate it for everyone in the Transformers community to see, we would be pleased with the final results. I know that you didn't know about the winged wolf mode, but if it were recreated for the Titans Return Six Shot, it could be passed off as an eighth transformation. Then again, it would make Six Shot an Eight Changer, as he's a Six Changer, hence his name being Six Shot. Stay safe, emgo316.
I'm glad these videos sate my taste for collecting transformers toys now. Less money out of my wallet. But i just had to buy the headmaster sixshot. I just had to!
More than happy with Hexatron myself but I think I'll get this too just to support more CHUG style figures and it looks pretty good for a mass retail figure.
Nathan Simmons I see some photos from the Internet and I think it can turn into wing wolf, I am waiting if takara can upgrade this figure with extra or larger weapon and more paint job,
I decided to "rectify" the weak-looking gun situation with my Sixshot by combining his two guns and having him hold them in one hand... and then pulling out my Dr. Wu "Classics Megatron gun" weapon accessory and having him hold *that* in his other hand. Now it looks like he's wielding gun-mode Megatron as a pistol, which in turn makes Sixshot himself look like a giant. =D
That "gun" mode of Sixshot made me laugh my head off. It's one of the most ridiculous transformer alt-modes, Autobot or Decepticon-wise, that I have ever seen in my life.
Depends on what you want. Hexatron is more of an IDW-styled Sixshot at a price point of about $120 USD, whereas this Sixshot is more of an updated version of the G1 toy, at about $45-$50 USD. Both are good, but it just depends on how much you want to spend on a Sixshot toy.
Emgo, you actually hit the nail on the head with the gun mode upside-down; it Is a space ship. Compare with Legend Shockwave's vehicle mode; they pass off as a space cruiser with a cannon in the front. Six Shot is a Space Ship AND the gun in that one mode. Thank you, "Yoooooooooung Warrior."
I find his Titan master's name to be quite apt. Another name for a revolver is a six-shooter, owing to the gun only having six shots to a barrel (typically. there are other designs with up to ten and even twelve shots, but most traditional revolvers only had six chambers). since his name is Six-shot, having a titan master named Revolver just works, imo.
I loled at the ending, six shots like: ok that's it?! Lol if Galvatron actually asked him to do that he'd be like screw the pay ill do that sh## for free just to piss off prime.
Terminator X yep totally, but these guys treat their own IPs a lot better then the colabs, you oughta know how Marvel Legends fans feel, chameleon and Nick fury with their fake brown and yellow, generic grey guns. While 3.5 inch gi Joe figures get realistic guns
I'm curious if there's a way to transform the Titan's Return Transformers with their heads on because we all know that little kids will lose the heads right away.
Thanks for the great review! Just picked this guy up at Walmart today. He's not perfect, there are a lot of little things I think should have been worked on. The good thing is, it's mostly minor stuff. I'm really glad that there aren't many stickers, since I've been disappointed in Hasbro's sticker quality lately. The knees could be tighter, along with the shoulders and there could be a tab slot on the right leg for the tab on the jet nose. Other than that, my biggest issue is with the wolf neck. It's just looks too long. if it could have been on a joint like the shoulders, so it could shift back into the gap behind it, it would look much better, IMO. Overall, I'm really happy with him though. If you like Six Shot, I recommend grabbing him if he turns up locally. I paid $44, including tax and I feel OK with that price. I don't think I'd feel that way had I paid more than that.
