I love that hasbro made Trypticon a throat so some Titan masters can literally "get in his belly!!!" That is something that shows that hasbro isn't being lazy
Trainer [Insert Name Here] Couldn't #DISAGREE More! *ITS GARBAGE- Theirs No where Near the Playability it should have!* Esp. the Head which is waaay to small. As is the Robot's Height overall when comparing him to other TiTans. An All of which doesnt include the Hips sitiuation. TR #Trypticon Doesnt even have The purple (Base mode) High Tower! #WtF? Look at the P G1 comparison THAT HAS MORE (Base Mode) PLAYABILITY THAN THIS. & its 30yrs Older! This should of been A Gem #SMH. It was hurried & thus pulled from it being The #SDCC Exclusive cause the Non-Desighner Top-Cats at Hasbro knew it was A piece of Sht!
Anton Lamont Please calm down, it was just a joke. That aside, I _do_ genuinely like the figure for what it is, in spite of its handful of aesthetic flaws (and the QC problem in the hips). Also, what's with all the txt (texting abbreviations), ALLCAPS, and #hashtags? Using any of the three at random does **not** make your argument sound mature; if anything, using them makes your argument _less_ mature.
Emgo, for the past 5+ years I have watched and loved your reviews. You are funny and informative, and I can tell you really enjoy this. Thank you very much for so many years of fun, and thank you for your satirical attitude. I laughed my butt off when you released the "hater free review" of fixit! I look forward to watching you in the years to come, please never stop being awesome! Thank you, once again, Emilio Gomez, for everything.
I know that some people hate that full-tilt has no paint on him at all except for the little spots on his roof, but I actually really like the "armored car" look to the mold and he is really nicely sculpted
My mother got me Trypticon for Christmas last year, making it my first new Transformers figure in 10+ years since I got back into the hobby. I absolutely love this figure but holy crap there was a ton of stickers. I only did the stickers for his robot form since it's unlikely I'll ever transform it. I actually ended up tossing the eye stickers since I wasn't able to apply them properly
I would have had fun with this basemode as a kid. I used to love having caves, sewers, or whatever spaces for my figures to go into. My mind went back to me being a kid when I saw that door and you putting that figure inside. This would have probably ended up being a cobra base for my gi Joe toys cause of the colors and I already had a gi Joe base. This is just so awesome. I love dinosaurs so I loved seeing tripticon as a kid but I didn't have the toy or the dinobots, besides slag.
I’m so glad I found this channel!!! It has been a childhood dream to have a transform collection. And to have titan transforms like this one!! I have been wanting this for years.
Thanks for reviewing this toy. I got it and loving it, even with the assembly that you have to do getting him out of the box. Because of all the ports you can also really armed up Trypticon in base and "spaceship" mode.
I looked at the hip-fix you linked in, and not bad. I think if you did a "EmGo Fixes Stuff" video, that would help a lot of people. Your attention to detail would be "fugely" appreciated and help us all out so our Tripticons won't fall and not be able to get back up. Great vid man, thanks for all hard work, you are the TF King!!!
Trypticon is the Decepticon city, their spaceship, the Nemesis, and a giant dinosaur. Awesome, now we just need a small version of bw Megatron to pilot him.
Megatron: Trypticon, if you can hear me, understand this is not a rescue mission. Despite your great power, you failed to destroy the Autobots. You have failed ME. Henceforth, your chassis will be altered and redefined to A toy .
YYOOOUUUNNNGGG WARRIOR! Listen to me today. Understand me tomorrow. If you want to hunt for trees in the forest, you must first look to the ocean. A watched pot never boils but if you throw it up against a wall, it will make a hole. If you fought under the covers and pull the blanket over your own head, you will have vivid hallucinations. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, and Wednesday is the Thursday of last week's Tuesday...Where am I? I will never forget these wise words of err...wisdom
Thanks for this great review. I just picked up my TR Trypticon at the grand opening of our new Ollie's store for $50.00! I freaking love this thing. Now gotta get some reprolabels to spruce him up. Thanks again.
I've come to find out if you get one of this figure now, you're probably going to get MUCH softer ratchets out of the box, like I did. The towers have separate, asymmetrical patterns if it's a fixed print. If the towers are mirrored from each other instead, I'd beware the hips
At least Trypticon kinda looks like a spaceship unlike Metroplex who is just the robot sitting down or Fortress Maximus who is the robot doing the superman flying pose on his back lol
The G1 Headmaster cartoon that was released in Japan had Fort Max traveling through space in its battle station mood, I don't see why Trypticon couldn't do the same.
This is a good review and I love this Trypticon. Shame there is a major problem with the legs but at least there is a solution to it. Keep up the good work Emgo.
I wish there were more versions of Trypticon that were slimmer. I understand appeal of having the G1 look, but it just looks...dumb. I much prefer a design to where he doesn't look like a box with dinosaur parts stuck to it. Kinda like in the Cyberton games.
I've gotta say, your editing in these videos is really seemless. The fact that you don't even notice when it cuts between different shots is really impressive.
I just scored one of these today from Wheeljacks Lab which is just an hour away from me. I watched this review and was helpful for things to be careful of. Defiantly did not want to break him given how much I paid. Too much, but I don’t splurge on many of these. The right hip moved fine but the left one had the spring issue. You are right in saying you don’t have to cut the spring. Just work it for 20-30 mins and throw it in a vice nice and tight until it softens up a bit. Mine is fine now. Trying to get the courage to try the stickers! Thanks for the review!
As much as I'm glad they updated him, he still reminds me of a highly detailed box with arms and legs, The G1 version had at least some variance in depth, and this guy just seems so flat. I know Planet X's apocalypse is smaller, but he's the guy I went with, it just has more character for me.
The Original G-1 Trypticon Walked, using 2 hidden C batteries stored in the Tail.. This one is impressive, but if it walked by itself would have been way better.
Snouie they removed that for his added poseability and drastic size. If they added the walking gimmick it would of just been the G1 toy with a headmaster gimmick and hollow plastic
Also if a figure that big had a walking feature it would be out of the room in three paces & in ten paces it'd be out the front door & walking into traffic! Not to mention he'd probably need a car battery & a wheelchair motor like they use for full scale R2-D2 replicas.
Though this is old, I finally got him a few days ago for my birthday. I fixed the hips. Used duck tape to wrap around the springs and hold them in place. Took them below the halfway point and the hips sound better. I'm still a bit weary, but it is what it is - sadly. I took the springs down low enough so they don't have ANY bounce when I take the black covering off.
Hey Emgo, during your video review it seems one of your stickers actually came off and got stuck on another part of Trypticon. It is that yellow stickers in his mid area. When you brought precious G1 Trypticon, I noticed the the Titan Return only had half of that sticker on display. Just wanted to let you know, but if someone already did, sorry about this.
Just got my trypticon yesterday when I got home. It's was on the neighbors porch. Lucky no one new what was inside. It would have been gone bye bye. it's an impressive figure. Haven't gotten around to transform it to ship and city mode. I get metroplex today I'm excited ! 😬 Yesssss !
Retrogamer 123 Dude I know, like when I pause the video, and then come back to it, the thumbnail changes from Trypticon to rodimus, and tilt. It's really weird.
Hey ego love your reviews but you don't have a g1 metroplex or omega supreme review to complete all your city boy reviews just wondering if you plan on doing them some day because I would love to see you do them. Thank you and have a great day.
ijayjayi 13 because a purple human who murders kids totally looks like a giant fucking metal dinosaur who levels cities and turns into a city I see the resemblance in full tilt tho.
Sucks how many stickers are on this figure when there’s not even that many noticeable ones besides the silver toes. All of the tiny little shiny pieces are almost unrecognizable so I wish they just painted them in.
Almost nabbed one at Retrocon last September. Ended up getting a G1 Menasor and Bruticus instead as my focus is really on my G1 collection right now. It make me very happy that they include stickers with him. It's something I wish Hasbro would go back to (that and rubber tires) and makes me want him a bit more!! (That and Full Tilt is now a proper transformer, and a headmaster at that!)
No electronics in this Trypticon by the way, incase you're trying to look for it, they removed that feature. He doesn't walk or make any noises or light up eyes nothing.
ya know the more i look at it the more im convinced full tilt in combined mode is meant to evoke the purple gun in trypticons battle station mode that used to light up. i.e when trypticons in spaceship mode he's meant to be attached and angled one click up to align with the other towers/blasters. its the only thing that makes sense of the barrel that clips onto him to help keep him in place. if it was just meant to be a clasp it could be any aul shape. but it specifically looks like a gun barrel. anyway great review man. this lads hitting the store in ireland BIG time now. the store down the road from me has 4 in so im off to get him next week. :D
Looks okay, but I prefer G1 Trypticon because he was battery-operated and could walk in robot mode. Plus, his rotating satellite dishes in city mode looked way cool.
I glad siege will have the other Titan companions(Trypticons cannon/Brunt tank,Sixgun,cog/gasket and grommet)released to complete their respective Titans.
Hello guys...I have a fairly small collection of Transformers toys from multiple series etc these being: Studio series - Grindor, Sideswipe, Dino, B127, Mixmaster and Seige - Astrotrain and mabey a bruticus combiner one day. I am debating on whether to get a tripticon or omega supreem titan for these specific toys as a base for them, any opinions?
