When Jason said “wow classic moves” it really reminded me of when under the red hood when he was trying to kill black mask and he said “wow, he can really run when he wants too.”
@@khebre6032 nothing lol it doesn’t make any sense. His beef literally should have been with JUST the Titans. They were the ones who nearly bullied him into suicide and made his life miserable every second they got. Especially Hank. Someone ought to remind this Jason who saved him from taking his own life. The one person who was there for him when he was about to throw himself off the Titans tower. Plot makes zero sense just as it has since Season 1. Awful writing.
Eh if they milk it too long we know the outcome is guaranteed to be 1 of 2 things, a dead stalemate or the final battle between the 2, short quick fights add more tension because at anytime there could be a killing blow right out of nowhere because they’re able to choreograph a short but super fast fight, these guys were so quick and all it took was 1 mistake and one of them would be dead, outcomes in short fights enable the writer to stun the audience, the fight sequence is done and one could’ve died before we even had the chance to process it which leaves the audience stunned and a lot more effective, the only thing the long fights can usually add is emotion because it allows them to talk a lot throughout, discussing POV’s, scenes like this don’t need severe depth like that, they need shock value and to look good
I really enjoy the fact that this show is proving why we needed a live action Dick Grayson. He is just way too cool not to be liked. Nightwing is the hero we needed to see in order to get to know the Batfamily a little more. Nightwing is a hero on his own and that's just too perfect.
@@poizon1379 Oh my god you “dog people” are so annoying. It’s not even a dog, it’s a wild wolf, who was trying to hunt down and devour the younger Dick Grayson. Besides, even if it was a dog no one in their right mind would let the dog kill them just because “it’s a dog and it looks cute” that’s called natural selection, if something is trying to hurt you then you hurt it back.
I like how they made it feel like Jason was hunting them and he was deadly because he could hold his own in a fight against the best fighting on the team good to see
@@pugarseptiag3604 probably not. Hand to hand combat wise Jason is better and could beat Connor, and if Jason has some kryptonite from Batman, then he would have a higher chance in beating Connor
@@jasonmoukala8909 later in the clip Gotham pd put out a 6 billion or million idk dollar budget to find these two but they can’t get a clear image of who is who.
I give titans a LOT of shit but this fight scene was A+ I really wish it was longer. The banter and them meeting blows because they were trained the EXACT same way is top notch.
Nightwing despite everything is faster and more acrobatic than jason todd is (comic wise) He's even faster than batman, albeit batman outskills the lot of them.

@@AM-sg2wd A red Nightwing suit this season would be a terrible idea. Dedicate this season to Nightwing, hell we had to wait an extra season for Nightwing I want all of it to be his blue suit. Save the red suit for a special episode next season where it means something.
@@Jimmy8InFinity I do because they create better representations of their characters than DC does. Or are you going to tell me Green Lantern was a work of art?
This is what people keep forgetting. Dick served under Batman's tutelage and battled/practiced alongside him for nigh on a decade. In the timeline of Titans, Jason was only a year into his training before he went to the Titans and only a further three months after leaving them. Of course, Dick is going to have the edge. This is why Red Hood is relying more on criminal and military tactics. I kind of wish there had been a time jump after his death, that could have explained Jason having traveled the world and trained more in the interim, but we get what we get.
Jason: tell me. What bothers you more that your greatest failure has been return from the grave or that i've become a better batman than you Dick: your ruling through intimidation and murder you're just another criminal Jason: i'm what the city needs

Nightwing does some more attacking and grabs Jason against one of the walls.*
Man Jason Todd was a complete savage this season. Also the buildup was actually well done since last season basically everyone treated Jason like complete shit. They all. immediately believe Rachel when she accused him of painting the crosses without hesitation without for a second being sensitive to the fact he basically just had a traumatic experience falling off a damn skyscraper and nearly dying. He tried to freaking kill himself and the only one who cared was Dick. Dick will be the only one to accept him if he redeems himself. Gar was also pretty hood to Jason as he defended him at times. Jason might never be a Titans again but he will always be a part of the Bat-Family. Bruce forgave him and asked him back even so Bruce still considers him his son and Dick I think will definitely always see Jason as his brother no matter what. Now what needs to happen is for Tim to first of all become Robin and part of the family and also get a strong bond with Jason. Jason and Tim had a great dynamic in the comics so I hope in this universe they can too. Tim is Jason’s little brother so we need to see Jason be protective of Tim and have a little bit of a fun rivlary as they often mock each other in a brotherly way like in the comics.
Ah, the "Red Hood is new and cool" movement continues. I'm reminded when the Winter Soldier was moping the floor with people one movie, then getting his ass handed to him the next - ah, writers.
Logically you want your hero to struggle or why would you be interested in their story. It is why the invincible Steven Segal style of action hero is not as popular anymore.
@@trueblue6201 Although Nightwing was clearly superior, the fight ended with him in a headlock with a gun aimed to his head. Doesn't that qualify as a struggle? dude would be dead if not for the GCPD sniper.
@@Mikael22-18 I am referring more to op's annoyance at how when Winter Soldier was a villain he had far less of a struggle then when he became a hero. I happen to agree with everything you said.
@@ggkk8909 I was rooting for Red Hood cuz he's my favorite character of all time, Imo I didn't really like Hank so Jason killing Hank didn't really bother me.
Oh come on! That's stupid that's like saying the first two spongebob seasons were bad and only the third one was good! Don't act like your a fan of this show now just because of a few changes the only reason you like it now is because jason is now red hood
@@thetruenico6117 I'm a fan of it now because of the pace and the writing is good. Just look how they killed Donna Troy 🤦🏽🤌🏽 I gave this show 2 strikes and now in the third season its going good and I hope it stays that way.
The first season was the only good season. It had a clear vision of horror from the start. This season seems intent on being a Batman season without Batman. Should we look into dove’s grief? Nah write her off. Grayson is the most boring character on the show and he’s the focus.
@@Daftanemone How are you gonna say the first season was the only good season and then say Grayson is the least interesting on the show? The first half was mostly about him and Rachel.
I thought the first season was really good, season 2 wasn't bad but it was okay, but season 3 got me hooked, I think releasing red hood was a bit to early but it's all good
That being said, red hood has a significant advantage in this fight because of his weapons. Guns are insanely powerful weapons, and it forced Nightwing to model his attacks and defenses around them
True but Nightwing has had a knack for dodging bullets at close range ever since he was a kid running around with Batman. Guns aren't too much of a problem as you can see. @@augustmathewson9191
@@ojifaraoh6697 Nightwing and Batman dont usually have problems with guns, this is true. But when that person wielding the gun has had training on par with them, it becomes a problem i.e. Deathstroke, and Red Hood. Train all you want, but when someone's had an equal amount of training, plus a gun, it becomes a huge obstacle.
Why did Dick go back to the cabin after and look at the chains all shocked? Did he forget that he let Scarecrow go out as a distraction? What was he expecting to see?
@@nijohn12 Red Hood most likely took Scarecrow is what I gathered from that. Maybe wanting to eliminate him before he'd spill anymore beans about his Resurrection to Dick. Just like he did to that one guy in a prior episode. Jason doesn't want Dick to have anymore information about how he's alive.
I like how this series was directed... It plays like a movie, each episode is a build up of a previous episodes.. Arrowverse should learn from this Titans..
@@ryderls2729 - "Superman & Lois" season 1 has been fantastic though, and "Stargirl" season 2 is pretty damn good. I love Titans and Doom Patrol, but the CW really upped their game lately. (I've stopped watching The Flash during season 4, I just check an episode here and there nowadays, and apparently season 7 was a catastrophe; I've just checked the mini-Godspeed arc at the end of the season, and it was indeed lame... shame, the first 2 seasons of "The Flash" were really good...)
Hope we see both of them as batman fighting and Nightwing comes out on top as the hero and makes Jason take his batsuit off out of respect for what Bruce was originally trying to do as Batman, so that this show can finally resolve it's hatred for the character, Dick could go back to being Nightwing almost immediately.
I know red hood vs nightwing is the fight we all wanted to see and is dope fighting but I want to see him fight the other Titans I wonder how he’s gonna interact with them and is he going to use kryptonite on superboy
@@scarletpumpernickel8260 Dick isn't Batman. He has gone out of his way to do his own thing and be his own person. Jason is actually the better fighter of the five Robins. Dick is the Acrobat, Jason is the Fighter, Tim is the Detective, Damien is the combination of the first three but toned down and Stephanie is the conscience. In the books, Jason has beaten all the former robins including Damien. Hell, Jason singlehandedly ran through Damien's version of the Teen Titans recently
This season is Amazing and to be honest Season 1 and 2 are kinda lame but for Season 3 it's a badass show right now also both of Red Hood and Nightwing steal the show!
I think the show would be more interesting if they didn't reveal the identity of the red hood and didn't show Jason in previous seasons. They could reveal his identity with flashbacks, making the character more mysterious
1:17 the amount of accuracy it took red hood to shoot whatever he threw and he didn't have enough accuracy to hit nightwing. the amount of time it took..he literrally just could've shot him in the face instead.
@@damerykeprice5365 they really think red hood can beat night wing lol. Even new 52 night wing smashed on red hood. Night wing is the better fighter and better acrobatic. Matter fact he’s the smartest robin and the only robin who never got traumatized by the joker
That was AWESOME!! I’ve always lowkey wanted a Nightwing vs Red Hood fight, and this show delivered. And to make the scene even more epic, they gave Jason glowing red guns! Blue vs Red
Jason was trying his hardest to kill Dick, but Dick wasn’t actually trying to hurt him because at the end of the day he is his little brother who is in pain and just lost and he loves him no matter what he does. Dick was the prodigal son, the eldest, their heir, the first Robin who set the bar Jason was always trying to reach but couldn’t because he is his own person. Dick honestly probably took that bullet for Jason, consciously or unconsciously, because he will always protect his family.
@impishDCfan85 85 Having the same skill doesn’t make someone a copy idle that were true then nightwing is a copy of Batman and look? You have to insane to think daredevil and nightwing look alike
I love Red Hood as much as the next person but isn't this like abit quick. I understand you don't know when your show will be cancelled but this deserved long term plans. When Red Hood was announced Jason wasn't even killed yet. Like kill Jason and wait. If you have troubles with keeping the actor around or giving him work have him appear in flashback scenes for example in Nightwings flashbacks for not being able to save him(since this show rarely covers Batmans point of view it would feel out of place). If you think it's hard just have it like Bruce asked Dick to check on Jason and Dick assuming Jason was fine didn't follow up and then he sees the explosion while fighting on a separate crime scene and then his horrified face and then he next few scenes it's about coping and not covering up his emotions about losing a metaphorical brother and coming to terms with it. It doesn't need to be s focal point the whole season but let it simmer even in the background and the closing shot of season 3 could be "months later" with Dick visiting Jason's tombstone and talking to him (a parallel that rings familiar in the Batman lore) and cut to a shot of binoculars or eyes in the distance watching Dick. Then you start season 4 with teases here and there. Red Hood didn't take over Gotham over night, he waited to make his move without being known and doing his research because despite being a local and working with Batman he knew he couldn't mobilize a gang in Gotham without a plan for the retaliation. See gangsters meet a shadowy figure and others being gunned down. Then the classic Meeting scene (and use some of the same dialogue because it's soooo good) and you run from there. You can even say between 3 and 4 that a year or so has passed to simulate the feeling of the wait being earned. I like a lot of how this show appeals but this felt rushed but would love to hear other people's thoughts
I actually thought it was fine, at the end of the day, it probably was gonna be rushed anyway, so I enjoy what I got, he went through a lot in titans season 2 and what the team put him through, plus he was dead for like two weeks so...as you see I think curran is doing a fine job so yeah I respect your opinion.
