the one thing i didnt like about this deathstroke was how his suit goes for the more ninja assassin vibe instead of the mercenary look but doesnt have the ninja knot at the back of the helmet, made me really sad
Brenton Thwaities is legit the perfect Dick Grayson/Nightwing. Him and Conor Leslie are like perfect casting for their characters. Everyone else is good/average with very few poor choices
Majority of the cast is great, my dislike is Jason could have been a little bit taller and Bruce could have been younger but that's about it. And of course better writing.
other things aside i'm quite amazed how much they got Nightwing and Red hood's fight choreography spot on , Nightwing is much athletic, faster and a better hand to hand fighter but Jason easily matches him with his street fighting , play dirty style and is way better at using weapons. Even in the comics Batman had to disarm jason before defeating him.
I wouldn’t say “EZily matches him” cuz Nightwing still pretty effortlessly defeats him each round, but he is slowly evolving with each round it feels like as he should, since he’s the way inferior combatant here, but still a threat you shouldn’t joke around with when you’re facing him.
They got their fight choreography spot on compared to what? In the comics, Red Hood is an absolute, brutal tank. He is huge, he weights between 225-250 lbs (depends on the writer), he is even more stronger than Batman (his weight is 210lbs). At least they got Nightwing's speed right. The most comics accurate Jason you can see (physically) in any media, other than the comics, is the the Jason from the Arkham Knight game.
as much as i love live action, nightwing always gets nerfed because they have to make the shit he does actually realistic, like in teen titans robin is legit the strongest in the group for the whole show even tho hes objectively the weakest
Dick Grayson in live action… I never thought Nightwing would turn out so well. This is literally perfect. (And that Red Hood arc? Jesus. This was epic.)
@@kordellpurnell6207 I almost threw the controller on TV when I saw this. His death got to be worse than the one he had at Injustice. Killed 3 Robins and revived them in the same season without any emotional burden.
When I first saw Titans I immediately thought they would’ve been better off making a show just about Robin/Nightwing with this actor, he could’ve had much more room for his violent phase and a longer more fulfilling “redemption “
The casting is perfect. I really love Brenton Thwaities as Nightwing. But the writing of the character leaves a lot to be desired. I would recommend the writers of this show to read a few Nightwing comics before trying to write Dick Grayson, because the character we get in this show is almost unrecognizable from the Nightwing we have in the comics. Tho having dark moments in the comics too (he was raped twice for goodness sake), the comics Dick is empathetic, he sees the good in people, and he is self sacrificing. He forgives people, gives them multiple chances, (for ex Batman put him trough some serious shit during his life, but he still forgives him every time). He even tries to save his enemies too. I stopped watching Titans after the Asylum episode. The Dick Grayson on the screen is nothing like the one I love, and know from the comics. (Beside Daredevil, Nightwing was my favorite superhero, read every single Nightwing comic. I stopped reading tho when the Ric arc started.) Also his costume in this show is ridiculous. With the overexaggerated armored muscles, he looks like he came from the 1997 Batman and robin film. Just look at his comics costume (New 52, Rebirth). It's streamlined, simple, but very iconic, and beautiful. Nightwing doesn't need armored fake muscles to slow down his acrobatics, that's not the way he fights. I don't understand the designer's need to bulk him up, I just don't. It happened in the Arkham games, and in this series too. Why?
@@thanhdanhvu5886 In the comics Nightwing designed his costume to support his specific skillset. His suit is lighter, and less armored than Batman's, because Dick didn't want to compromise mobility, and his acrobatic skills. He built his whole fighting style around speed, and agility. Canonically Dick doesn't use heavily armored suits.
One of the things that’s so cool about nightwing in titans has to be his suit feels like his suit is so hard to get right whether it’s comics or shows and this one jus looks perfect
You can just tell how sick to their stomach they was watching the darkness rage within Dick Grayson. Even star fire couldn’t watch lol. This man really fighting demons within jus like his father Batman. Fractured mindset but keeps maintaining. Give this man a solo film great portrayal of the character.
The plot and characters in this show are what ruin it. However, Robin/Nightwing is literally perfect. His design, his personality and his combat is extremely accurate.
Ikr, a Blüdhaven Brenton Nightwing TV spin-off with a possible tie in Redhood and the outlaws-ish spin off woulda been perfect, instead of a road trip like they’re going in season 4 or something, they made the absolute perfect setup for both, and ye, that’ll fix the “Titans is Nightwing’s show” “issue” folks are complaining about… Kory or Donna takes over as leader and y’know…
Bro Deathstroke was actually a force to be reckoned with and the Nightwing suit was actually pretty good and i like that they actually called them their super hero names and ravager was an asshole
Use that story where the Batfamily fight each other for the mantle of Batman This way we don't need to have a Batman and focus more on all the others Batfam members.
I really love this show, and I can find alot of fault in shows like wandavison, falcon and the winter soldier, gifted, punisher, defenders etc but only haters can nitpick about titans
How I imagine if The Batman movie had starred Ben Affleck and Brenton Thwaites was playing Nightwing in the DCEU. I would've loved to see Batman and Nightwing fighting side by side against Deathstroke's minions in a fight scene that combines elements like the throne room fight in Star Wars Ep. 8- The Last Jedi, the warehouse fight from Batman v Superman, and elements of the Arkham Games.
i hope we see slade make return again, where is more aggressive and bigger threat as with his son in his mind i felt he was being held back alot on his actions but with his son out of his mind and he can regen anyway he back in season or 2 as bigger threat.
Like a Combo of Bruce and Slade I hope, and they gotta have Damian hanging around Dick if they decide to bring him in A LOT, cuz he’s ultimately the brother who’s gonna be able to give him development from what he usually start out as to what he becomes, that stupid Nightwing nerfing movie series thing got it sorta right.
@@Artryom Well I mean Bruce in this series is sort of a mess Nightwing in Titans pretty much in the role of Batman, fighting Red Hood, confronted by Tim Drake, beating Scarecrow. Pretty much everything that happened to Batman so why not leave Damian with Dick.
I feel bad for all the people that like this garbage fire 🔥 it’s literally Power Rangers level of acting masquerading as a serious deconstruction of The Titans source material…
I think yeah my wing is pretty good but I don't think he would be swearing actually. Also the way they portray his relationship with Bruce I don't know if it's as bad as it really is
are you being serious ? if so feel bad for you haha as super man & super boy are 2 different people as if you watched the actual show it explains super boy is clone made using superman and lex dna.
"Backflips" Ah damn, sucks that my bullets missed so coincidentally toward the ground instead of straight The cinematography for the fights make no sense
I just wished that this wasn't the worst show I've ever watched cause Nightwing was great (at least his fight scenes, he was really out of character in the first seasons)
@@jacmenz4113 It wasn't at the start, like the first three seasons of Arrow were really good, and the first two seasons of The Flash, but this show was bad from the start, which was really disappointing
Ugh i am amazed that after the awesomeness of Netflix Daredevil, we still get cheap looking badly acted, poorly directed, poorly edited, cheesey rubbish like this
@@ladyjustice1474 - no I never said I could do better (not that it matters, criticism is not predicated on ones ability to be able to "do better") and this isn't a movie. Nice try though
Deathstroke would eventually beat every member of the Batfam in a 1 v 1..even Batman. But Grayson has experience facing Slade since his Teen Titan days, he's fought to a standstill multiple times in the comics.
