Tite-Reach Extension Wrenches solve a problem that does exist. Chain drive means zero-arc ratcheting

amzn.to/3kvftv7 The Tite-Reach Extension Wrenches solve a problem that does exist. By using a chain drive, a zero-arc ratcheting is possible. And great for light impacting as well. But these extensions really shine when used with cordless ratchets.

I was going to buy one a while back, but then i saw many reviews about it being weak and frail because of the chain design, and its quite chunky too considering its for impossible spaces. And then i saw the price and hard-passed.

I wouldn't say they are week or frail, I've used one very carefully with an impact set on low and it did the job fine.

It will work a few times but it’s definitely not designed for a impact. They make 90 adapters for impact drivers.

Greetings! We are happy to answer questions or discuss videos released about our products. Our pro-series of extension wrenches are built to last and can handle quite a bit of abuse. We even offer a limited lifetime warranty on them! We also were the first-mover within the extension wrench category here in the States, having our line out a few years before the "tool truck" brands entered the game and are quite a bit more competitive on our pricing(we also frequently run sales).

@@tite-reach Very cool product! However its a shame you don't do a higher priced version that is comparable in quality/strength to the snap on version and useable on an impact. I would buy 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 if you did. It's a shame they stole your product/idea. i do not like the idea of someone elses design being stolen.

I have been hard pressed to recall instances where this tool solves problems well that others just can't do. It provides a little bit of tool clearance that an air or electric ratchet sacrifices. So that is appealing, but in my world that is almost a non existent scenario. The long reach electric ratchets seem to address this issue sufficiently for me. I can imagine that a particular close quarters repetitive task could justify this tool. If it is substandard to the tool truck versions that user would probably prefer the more robust tool. I appreciate the review. It confirms that this is a solution to a problem that I don't encounter and that I can happily use that money for a tool of higher personal advantage.

As far as clamp you should reference it's original maker Handee Clamp - as it's small US maker from Iowa and it's actual USA Made tool.

I'd like to see some actual use case scenarios for your tool reviews, instead of the manufactured 1 off use case for these type of tools. I love your videos BTW lots of cool tools 🔧

Being dual sided (i.e you can attach your wrench/socket to either side) means that you can reverse the direction so in theory, assuming its a 1-1 ratio on the sprockets, you could us it to reverse a torque wrench for torquing reverse threads. You might lose a bit of accuracy if there's any chain stretch but, in a pinch, it might be better than nothing. BTW, I bought a Facom S.234 Offset Adaptor to do that job. It should do a better job as there are no moving parts but its still not perfect as if you use the torque wrench at right angles its actually a fraction too long so I go for the nearest click below 90deg.

@xaytana Год назад
What works in theory doesn't work in practice, as you have losses within the drive. Rule of thumb is to add 10% on the pro chain-driven models, but I don't exactly trust this as there'll be tolerance issues with wear and stretch over time. The DIY belt-driven models can't handle this at all, as the belt would stretch before you get into what most bolts will have their torque spec at. What should exist is an extension bar with a torque meter built into it, measuring the chain sprocket or belt pulley itself, so that stretch and tolerances are removed from the measurement error. The only potential problem is when the wrench itself needs two hands, as there's no way to easily clamp these extenders in place.

This is one of those things that are better off getting from a tool truck. TTC has proven that they're better built and can hold up to more.

What do you do with all that stuff? I m a bit of a DIYer myself, but I never had the need for most things we see here. Anyways, I still watch every video and I like the channel. I wonder if Doug ever gets a proper workbench or table

nice tool but i dont like the chain design why isn't there one that is all solid gear driven? i think chain has too much slop and your loosing too much with usage with a impact.

I watched the video they referenced with Koon Trucking who also tested 1/2 inch which is allegedly rated for impact 1200ft-lbs. Needless to say it didn't fare so well. Really all of these are should be used with your hand with light duty impacting at best.
