No arty. No camping tank destroyers. No dumb campy maps. No demented teammates. Best game mode in the game. Anyone who dislikes it is probably an arty or camper player.
Like ST actually. I do not understand why WG do. It has some unbalanced stuff going on. Like Kranvagn and such or whatever. HE being useless etc due to everything having spaced armor with old HE mechanics. In general it is just a waste of development time. To what end? Really your playing ST wrong. There is no rewards no progression no nothing really. It is a fun game and all just 750 bonds or wtf WG things is a good reward is not a reason to play ST. And if one wants to play WoT then play randoms and get the credits and stuff instead of paying WG money for random battles and such. ST is fun but paying to play it? Or play it without any reward comparable to just playing randoms? Like it is better to just avoid it at all and only look at WoT as something to play for fun. And ST is not fun enough and just as bad as random battles. Sure ST might be fun for a few games but so should be playing randoms. And agen what is WG getting out of it? I know first time around it was pay walled. But now? It seems like just a event to grind for some reward. For some reason? And this time around it is not even a reward worth launching the game for. Since the time sink to get anything out of ST is not at all worth it compared to just playing premium tanks in randoms. Is this mode just for streamers? Is it to lure players away from the main game so they do not get fed up and quit doing the same thing over and over and over agen? Expecting change with the BS unbalanced garbage? With WG at the wheel? Is that what ST is for? And yet no reward to lure us in. And a mess that is OP equipment that only a handful of people got and the rest of us are without it. And it was a planned grind in ST to 'earn' this new currency for the OP equipment... What is the point of ST? To make people that hate it pull out there wallet for the new currency locked behind ST? No reward made skipping ST this time around easy. Last time Kranvagn and no reward made it easy to skip too. Ho cares or give a shit when random battles are not worked on outside of milking the money. Fomo. Etc.

Destroyers don't deal the highest dmg on average it's the battleships. Destroyers deal burst damage that can wipe out a target fast but no high consistent damage. Also destroyer players focus more on capping and recon

Nah, it's just the rewards aren't appealing that much. And random shit always can happen. Dueling someone and then 3rd guy just kills both or you? Classic. Getting rushed by 2 tanks 30 seconds after start? Happens. Original BR mode on Sandbox had 15 players instead of 20, and tanks weren't as mobile as now.
Just found this. I'm sad I didn't try this mode. I'm also confused. The way I hear people speak about you, they say you're some sort of awful troll but this was genuinely one of the more interesting and helpful guides I've watched for WoT. Also, your commitment to mispronouncing the names of the tanks is commendable.
I only download this cancer game once a year for this great skill-based mode. No wonder target audience doesn't like it. Had lots of 13-17k damage 1st place games yesterday, had a blast!

chems genuinely helped me win my first game in Steel Hunter. …with a s***ter heavy, yes. But I still count it because I used the rapid reload radar, the mobility priority, and third-partied other heavies/high HP bois
Its called RNG HUNTER for a reason (you bounced the ass of that tank in the 1v1 like 4 times ) . And really i dont hate the mode really but yea if you didnt earn rewards i wouldnt play it . And again wargaming was trying to use the new equipment to save the dying mode . Its good it sucks in some of the players who have ADHD and cant sit still for more then 15 secs in randoms that is good . Yea how many tanks flipped and crashed over nothing also yea its an ok mode but wish it would just die already . You even get stunned by normal shells lol but good advice for players who like the mode ill use some of it when i play the first tank you played is fun . If you have fun by all means play it . And yes mobility is way more fun in SH . Heavies are easy to kill if you dont sit in front of them . And you can say whatever you want most players dont like steel hunter or they wouldnt have to try and save it but again have fun if you like it its not going anywhere clearly .
Steel hunter is just boring. Same old tanks, same old maps, same old abilities. It's very easy but doing +100% more damage total than the second player won't help you in endgame.
Id agree that heavys have boring gameplay except when u ram someone in walkure I mostly love Arlquin with 90kmh speed and HE gun or machinegun Also yestrday i achived my greatest win out of any battle. in platoon mode : so me and my Friend were both playing arlquins we were fighting against 2 arlquins, my teammate died bcs he made a mistake and i killed both of them, i got to max lvl and i actualy chosed double barrel gun, later shittoon of harbiniger and raven they were both like lvl5 and they chased me so i turned and outplayed them both bcs they sucked, then later the last retardtoon of Varyag and Raven were sniping arlquin that was outside the zone and i got lit so i decided to attack them, for some reason varyag was going to loot the arlquin and i just gone straight for Raven and i actualy killed him with using all abilitys and him placing the trap far away from me and then his teammate came i was like 2 shots and i actualy gotten the Ravens loot and healed and bettween that fight was a rock that i circled him and so Varyag as well, then he places landmines not right on top of me which idk why, then the zone got red and he was slow af so i came up faster to an hill where i got my abilitys rested then i just tracked him and he lost all of his 3k HP by the zone and my abilitys. I litreally beat 2 platoons by myself and still won alone. This shows how pepole are brain dead to kill 1 guy against them both at full hp
Yellow drops give you repair kits and abilities, green drops give you ammo and self heal, red drops give you everything equal to half the amount of the enemy that was killed, and blue drops give you everything (1 charge of abilities/self heal and repair kits and some ammo) The problem with the drops in SH is the insanely stupid RNG on what you get. For example, when I play the bai lang (my main go to tank cause of the derp gun), i can go through fucking 5 yellow drops and the game won’t give me an acid shell for example (which you absolutely NEED in the early game if you want to win any 1v1s) But other than that, I like the mode actually. But ffs, WG, BUFF THE ARLEQUIN
I don't think steel hunter is Bad, surely it is worse than the old one but I have more fun in it thain in Randoms. My strateggy is to avoid combat at the start and try to get the engine upgrade before minute 13 since thats the moment when the airdrops arribe, with My speed i get them first and i just overwhelm My enemies with superior firepower, mobility and abilities, I have 48,5 wr in Randoms btw I hate people crying about this mode being "too hard" Love your videos Chems, You My favourite wot youtuber, saludos desde argentina
If you care to listen I don't fully agree with chem's saying to ignore fighting at the start as that is the best way to lvl up if you do it right as a few of the tanks you can use they can absolutely bully people at the start due to how good they are at the start if you aren't dumb and if you can should try to 3rd wheel fights as you can easily pick apart the 2 low hp guys or focus the guy that has more hp to kill both of them or the low hp get killed. This is by someone who has played the original steel hunter till now and I have over ~300 games so I have the credibility to say so.
If you're going full armor, it's genuinely worth it to go for more horsepower, the 10 top speed won't save you, but the extra acceleration and traverse speed help with hills and circling people
Chems is so right lol. I was dogshit at this mode (still enjoyed it bc no braindead teammates or arty) but watched this video won like 5 games in like 10-15 games. Mostly with the Huragan, that autoloader slaps.

Btw using the electric trap on huragan stacks up the dmg multiplier fur the ult, so you can use the dmg ult earlier, and wait for "x5" dmg boost and start shooting already with maxed out dmg
I dont know man.. I kinda hate this mode... Always finish top 10 ,once i finished second, I gues those players were all worse like me.. This game it becomed a joke.. The randoms, and any other game mode.. WARGAMING ruined this game!!!

I haven't played nearly any of these game modes in the last while, just because I don't feel like spending time learning something new, trying to be good or something, just to find it removed soon after. I rather play normal tanks, which I can do reasonably well. Even tho the BZ-176 exists.

Steel Hunter is really easy actually. One of the by far easiest ways to end up in top 3 is to solo as Arlequin and just avoid others, unless you see two fighting and you can take safe pot shots. If you can get those valuables crates, cool, but that's just a bonus, not your goal. Let others fight themselves, while you gather tiers through basic boxes on other side of the map. Because of speed, you can just avoid any fight and will likely get boxes before them. Once you reach that endgame, just search for two fighting and weaken both of them. They even nerfed this strategy by reducing points you get from basic boxes and you could still do it without problem in last iteration. Might have changed in last one, but I doubt it.
You were wrong in two major things. Arlequin is not easy to kill. You will not be happy to meet me 😀 Heavy are not that hard to play and speacialy Beowulf it is f*ck machine. Do not underestimate it...
I don’t agree only to one thing, Beowulf is op op and fun for me, I just solo everyone, get lvl 7 fast hull for hp and turret for armour, gun auto loader 3shells for 650 and easy win, I can show all my replays of playing this tank, and over 90% was win, My tactic is to just fight with everyone and that’s why I pick Beowulf and this British med, Beo has enough hp and dpm everyone if you just have a bit of skill, and British med has insane dpm, also easy win, that’s about an earthly game, fighting early gives you lvls fast and then easy wins bc ur lvl is higher than anyone else’s, ofc you need to fight using ur brain to make this tactic work, but it works for me almost always, and if I lose, I lose at the start of the game, so I don’t lose my time and I can go to the next battle
whoa, before this tutorial i lost 100% of my steel hunter battles, now i lose 95%, but i have fun at least. its a good tutorial, and makes ypu have fun. And Escape Chems would be the best game mode ever btw.
First game i played in the raven 17k damage and lost to a tard who 3rd partyed me with landmines 2nd game 12k damage same shit happend gets 3rd partyed and 3rd game i win with a bit over 17k damage and like 9 kills the raven is not op at all (IT REALLY IS)
i gave up this shit long time ago...installed ct 2 days ago...you cant play the game anymore...getting shot from 4 sides and missing all shots...i had a s conq and an ebr sitting next to another..missed both of them with fv4005...deleted ct instantly..
