I love this demo sm, it has such a garage band feel and it's so wild that they ended up making (imo) a couple of the greatest hardcore albums ever

I’m guessing they just ripped that riff because it sounded cool. In my personal experience of songwriting, I often rip riffs or lyrics from unfinished projects I’ve forgotten about. It’s sort of like recycling.
