To commemorate important anniversaries in American history, the National Archives and Records Administration presents Featured Document Displays throughout the year. These displays help online and in-person visitors form a deeper connection to and a greater understanding of our shared history.
In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the passage of Title IX on June 23, 2022, the National Archives will display the original document from the Education Amendments of 1972 in the Rotunda Gallery.
To celebrate this milestone, the National Archives Foundation will host programming to explore the impact of Title IX. As such, we seek two NCAA Athletic Directors to participate in a virtual program to discuss how this landmark legislation changed the trajectory of their personal involvement in sports and how they witness the ongoing influence of the legislation in college athletics and at their institutions.
