From what Roberts was saying about what he though about Elland Road in his first interview, that goal will be so special for him. Well done. Come on Leeds. MOT
It's funny when the 3rd goal ricochets off Paddy's knee and he runs off, with his arms aloft, towards the righthand corner to celebrate.. he realised that no one is following him, has the rest of the team runs off to the left to celebrate with Danny- boy.. Bless him lol
@@clivenaylor5392 well Lucky on that one, but Paddy has done Quite well since january after his X injury. Also he works extremly hard so I find it annoying when fans bash him for not scoring in a game etc. And then praise him when he scores. It goes around and around all the time
Preferable to waiting 5 minutes for VAR and still getting a bad decision. Championship is so much better than Prem, simply because you can celebrate goals properly
@@wolves1901 upon replay the goal should have stood but VAR isn't used in the Championship so the refs can only call what they see. If this was a prem match, the offside call would have most likely been overturned as VAR would have had a look into it but from how the camera showed it, yeah it was a let off
Bamford's contribution needs to be mentioned overall this season. He is not the best finisher we have. However, his holdup up, playing in "Other players" and his Target man role is 1st class. So many people wrote him off, but his contribution is worthy of him being on the team. But we have better "Finishers" than him in Piroe and Summerville. He reminds me of a less physical - "Mick Jones". Whereas Allan Clarke, his striking partner - reminds me of Piroe and Summerville. It is still not over, there are many games to play, but I am glad that Bamford is getting back to the form that led to him being selected and playing for England. Let's not sell to anyone. We have a great squad. We might have to "buy" better defenders if we go up the Premiership....But the squad wise we are doing so well this season.
Strange, but these highlight don't show any of Leeds' missed chances - Gnonto could have had a first half hat-trick. Plus Leeds had 60% possession, so a misleading impression of the game is given with these highlights
They seem to like to keep the highlights to around 11 minutes. Focusing on the second half was probably the best way to tell the story of the game in that time.
Agreed Leeds should have gone in 3 - 1 up at half time. Leicester were the better team overall but had Leeds finished better first half they could have been out of sight.
Love the support, not denigrating you but “the lions” is the English national team. As Leeds, our animal team name is the peacocks or just “the whites”
What a massive win for Leeds. When we were one down we were 12 points behind Leicester. The Foxes were then denied a valid goal as there was no offside and spurned 3 gilt edged chances. When we equalised in the 80th minute we were 9 points. 2 more incredible goals and we are now only 6 points behind with the momentum very much in our favour. M O T
The offside decision did for once go in our favour but Leicester had more than plenty of opportunities to score more and just failed on 1v1 against keeper. Subs wise Farke had master stroke. Late into game last thing you want is James bombing down the wing at you. Not at our best but it’s 3 points.
Contrary to what people are commenting, this was no smash and grab win for Leeds. They also got load of chances to score in ist half, but couldn't due to wasteful finishing by Piroe and bad decision making of Gnonto and Rutter. On that balance for both, scoreline would have 6-5 to leeds. Just enjoy the win, guys. The elland road was electric 🎉
What a wonderful match it is, that feeling of winning from behind😍🔥 watching the match at 1.30 am from India ,Man I love this club #MOT Wish get a chance to watch the match live once in elland road
Ipswich fan here so a bit disappointed but l thought at the beginning of the season Leeds would be champions so l may be right after all. They have the best players IMO.
As an Ipswich fan you should be proud of what they have done this season regardless. They've played some incredible football at times. Super consistent, and essentially done on a shoestring budget compared to Leicester, leeds or Southampton. Im a Leeds fan myself- and I'm as surprised at our trajectory as I'm sure you are of yours. How we've managed to restore balance after the absolute train wreck of last season and our loan issues is beyond me. A testament to Daniel farke i think
@@blueXRPdynamite. Leicester have been ridiculously consistent. I wish Leeds had their consistency to be fair. I'm chuffed we beat you but in all honesty I've accepted Leicester will win the league. All I want for Leeds is that automatic promotion place, as the play offs is exactly where we don't want to be. Hopefully we both sail back through to the prem without any big stress or dramas. How we've managed to win the last 9 games in a row is beyond me and most of us fans. But we'll take it all day long 😁
If you didn't watch this game you'd think Leicester were completely dominant and Leeds didn't have a sniff till the end, very strange selection of chances to ignore Piroe and last ditch tackles on Summerville and Gnonto, still only one stat matters and that's Leeds 3 Leicester 1
Nobody mentions it, and we don't see it here, but the movement culminating in the opening Faes goal began with a highly uncharacteristic Archie Gray loose pass. So Leicester gained possession, Mavididi ran in and passed to Daka, whose shot on goal was then turned over the bar for a corner, from which Faes headed in. You could see Archie trying to make up for that error all f*cking game bless him. It's really ironic that his goal towards the end was deflected in off - of all people - Faes.
Great win. Great crowd. Great subs!! Took our chances. Just noticed that Daka and Faes talked just before the corner that led to the goal. Great set piece! Leeds, Leicester and the Saints to go right back up. #MOT
We dominated the game, and just couldn't put away chances, but to win you need to put the ball in the net, which Leeds did. Daka was atrocious but was a great game to watch. GG Leeds
I am a Leeds fan, but I have to say that Leicester were very unlucky. Had their 2nd not been disallowed, the game would likely have ended in their favour. Still, games that we deserved to win have gone against us this season, so it is swings and roundabouts. Leicester and Leeds should both win automatic regardless, so hopefullly this defeat proves to be of little consequence to the Foxes.
Mate that’s a very honest and fair analysis. As a Leicester fan I say hats off to you. I hope as you say the best two teams get promotion this season and I don’t care who’s first or second as long as it’s Leeds or Leicester that get auto promotion … saying that … the second goal disallowed for no good reason really stings! 😅
I'm still smarting from our 1st prem year and the F**king useless VAR disallowing a goal based on BamBams pointed finger on an outstretched hand being ruled offside! 🤔
@@TheVoIPShop-VoIP-Phone-Systems Hi leeds fan here Leicester good team but looking at stats they seem to maybe run out of steam late on in 15 min slots over the games 0-15 min conceded 4 goals all other 15 min slots 3 goals conceded but 75-90 mins slot have let in 13 goals just like the Ipswich matches 89 min & 90 min 4 points lost there.Good luck .
The best part of that vid was just after Archie Gray's goal, the look on sideshow Bobs face was priceless, it's the 1st time in the whole match he had his mouth closed and not screaming at the ref.
Difference is Leeds are an emerging team that will keep improving. Leicester are a decent team but will go backwards over next couple of seasons unless they invest wisely.
Your joking right. Did you see gray getting abused all second half. Both of these teams need major changes if they want to stay up in the PL next season. Leeds was getting ripped apart all 2nd half. Imgine a team that is clinical? Two of the 3 leeds goals were lucky. Just my opinion but that Disallowed goal change the whole outcome of this game.
@@wolves1901 I don't know what you think your accomplishing by criticizing the 17 year old being played out of position that scored the goal to put Leeds ahead. Oh and after today Leeds have conceded the fewest goals in the championship with Gray being in that back line for half the season. I don't see how anyone can criticize Archie for anything. I do wonder whether Leicester's 2nd goal would've counted if the outcome would've been different.
What a match the 🦊 Fox's on Top for most of the match then the miracle and fight back was on come on Leeds keep fighting we all love Leeds marching on together the fan's got Leeds United over the line Elland Road 🏟️🛣️ on fire proud to be a Leeds United fan 😍🙏🤝🫶🦚
“Leeds are just another game for us. Our big match was against Ipswich a few weeks back” hahahahaha ok mate we showed you! 3-1 how do you like that. Leeds are still unbeaten at home, still unbeaten in 2024, most inform English club
@@matthewmorley261 Leeds missed 3 chances before Leicester scored, even scoring 1 would have made it a different game. And..."You’re not coming back from 2-0." Says who? Leeds have done that several times, stop making out you're something special.
Leeds were fortunate with Leicester goal disallowed, having said that, Leeds have been denied definite goals and penalties in the past, Leeds win was bloody brilliant after they kept going, far from our best, Leeds fan
In football as well as in life in general. If the day (in this case - night) is yours. It's yours. It was Leeds's day & not Leicester's. All of the Leeds goals went in despite a wall of Leicester defenders attempting to block it. Leeds were outnumbered but still can score 3 to win. Pointless to debate over something unexplanable. It was simply magical.
Leicester bossed most of that second half but where are the Leeds missed chances in the first half? Not a very balanced reflection on the game. Nice to see some Khama for certain Leicester players that spend half their time whinging at the referee.
That linesman that got leicesters goal disallowed want sacking, var needs to be in the efl, that changed the whole game, manager is a joke, well done leeds, you and Southampton auto promotion 👏 👍 😀 😊
Leeds were lucky all goals deflections leicester defending shocking , leicester 2nd goal should not been ruled out . Leicester just not clinical enough in front of goal but well done Leeds they didn't give up .
@@offmerocker1467 that what happens when you defend with 11 players in the box every time Leeds go forward. Eventually we will play pin ball off your players.
Own goals is all Faes does. He single handedly brought them down from the PL last campaign (slight exaggeration, but his OG’s were key) and even though he put one in to start this match, he once again is involved in the loss here.
Farke talked about it recently. When he took Norwich up the first time, they spent almost nothing on new players (the club couldn't afford it) and were in the relegation zone all season. He then said Aston Villa went up the same year, but spent 140 million, and are now in the hunt for a place in Europe. That's where 49E (the new owners) come in. They have the backing of a billionaire family (the Yorks) and the all-but guaranteed huge income of an NFL team behind them, and have not been shy about talking about their ambitions for the club -- in particular upgrading Elland Road to a 55,000 seater stadium and turning Leeds into a billion pound contender at the top end of the Premier League. There's a lot that can go wrong, of course, but given how well and how quickly they have turned things around this season after a disastrous summer, really, it bodes well for the future. Expect Leeds to spend well into six digits in the summer (assuming we go up).
I am a bit concerned with Archie Gray defensively there twice he caught and they get round to easy he will be great no doubt of that but yes I do we concern that bit
We know that, but why is he playing? We just brought in a right back in January. Gray is really bad defensively, he gets owned by any decent winger. @@EnglishMike
3-1 does reflect well on leeds , but deflections or otherwise our chances ended up in ghe back of fhe net theres they squandered three " on a olate match winners and deserve zero points.
That's why I'm bouncing... The team are creating history now, the type that will be referred to in a 100 years when we're dead and gone... And we saw it! 😁
To be honest watching the game I thought Leicester were the best team, by some distance, Leeds have played all year and should have killed the game off BUT Leeds had early chances so its six of one half a dozen of the other. The substitutions changed the game and the last 10 minutes are testament to that. Up until that point Leicester were in complete control, thats the difference.
Oh it’s always been on , I always say when your winning you don’t know how to lose and Visa versa all we have to do is keep winning , it would be great to be unbeaten at home all season , we haven’t done it since the first prem Season , sadly that year we only managed 4 measly points away , worst away record and best home record in a season is a pretty wild stat esp as we were champions season before MOT
Possibly the most biased highlights I've ever seen, from that you would think Leeds did nothing other than play the final 10 minutes, we should have had 2 or 3 goals in the first half as well
The ball might not have gone into the net if Patrick had not deflect it away from the goalkeeper (and the defender). He looked to me that it was a deliberate attempt to get something on the ball but probably not his knee. Anyway all well that ends well and I hope he keeps on getting a bit of luck (it certainly has deserted him at times)
