I know. I got to know here. Right in my home. My Mother and Father ran an Talent agency called M& B booking agency. I sung in the basement with left eye before she went to ATL . I was still in school and mom's wasn't having me travel so she went her way to stardom. She is extremely talented. And a mega seemstrist. She could make pretty much anything
Its crazy even at my age of 37 I can still watch every last music video of TLC and still feel the joy, excitement and happiness i felt growing up during their reign. I love my favorite group. TLC IS STILL THE BOMB 💣
TLC was more than a "girl group". They were a sisterhood and a movement for African American women in the 90's. They spoke out about feminism, female empowerment, safe-sex, embracing sexuality, etc.
+Sarah Owusu Shut up, Let him like them for his own reasons. Personally, TLC is the reason I'm into RNB and early 90's hip hop in general. Best group ever, period. Their lyrics are timeless and the first album was definitely the best. Can't wait to hear what TBoz and Chili have coming on their upcoming album.
+Sarah Owusu I don't think a lot of people understand that it's at least a derogatory term. Which if one seriously thinks about it, it's flat out racist. So, please do not "stfu" like you have been asked to do. These conversations need to be had and the only way anything can progress is if people question "why", not automatically attack a person or tell them to "stfu".
OMMMGGG, THE 90's WERE THE BEST, BEST, BEST DAYS wasn't no shooting or stupid mess, it was ALL FUN!!! If you weren't around at that time maaan, you MISS sooooo much cause WE HAD A MF BLAST!!! Shout out to everybody that knows what I'm talkin' and RISE AGAIN to those that are gone.
90's was the era for "Tomboy Swag". It was actually cool for female artists to wear baggy clothes; boyish yet still feminine. I identify with this song so much. I hate wearing tight clothes and heels, give me a t-shirt, hoodie, jeans and sneakers any day.
This is when music was fun, Heart-felt, and full of soul and meaning. Listening to the 90s when you feeling down will bring your mood up completely!! It just makes you happy 💙
I totally agree with this statement! I'm old school and only listen to 90s music. I literally can NOT tolerate this new crap. You should see my Playlist. 😊
I was just saying this the other day. Lol. That I want all the rap and R&B artists from the 90's to come out of retirement and come out with music all at the same time to change the industry back to how it was.
This was the jam in 1993. I love how much attitude they had in that video while spreading the message about how it's okay to be comfortable with your own style and not letting others judge you. It's still relevant to this day. #DemTLCGirls #TLCIsForever
Some people don't understand that the part when they were dressed in black tight fitting dresses was meant to be the guy trying to imagine what they would look like.
Thanks Mrs.Boz Thanks Miss.Chillie teach a younger group now that y'all have the wisdom, the PHDs teach a younger group and therefore they want make any mistakes at the beginning. .Hot Sauce Shortdy New Orleans.
@@cicihopeluv Yeah she is fine but people only care about chilli and left eye being beautiful. People dont know that t boz is in the group too. She's clearly the less famous out of the group Fans: Lisa and chilli are gorgeous T Boz: Am I invisible or sum
T-Boz is soooo damn smooth and cool, left eye rhymes are dope af and chili is so charismatic and can sing her ass off...they are sooo gorgeous and unique...i love listening to them and watching their performaces, they have so much enegry and dance their asses off even today in their mid 40s, RIP Lisa, TLC is the best thing to ever happen to me in my music preferences and the messages they give is amazing, no one is doing that now a days
The amount of energy these girls put into dancing and singing was amazing Believe me, dancing like TLC did and singing takes a lot of damn energy and some!
Love the 90s, the style, the clothes. People were real back then. No plastic surgery or what so ever. Real music, rap, music with a message. If i had a time machine, i will go back to the 90s, were left eye still was alive.😊
left eye actually got a nose job!!! very subtle and it was mostly because she had narrow passageways and couldnt breathe right (allegedly where the "baby" voice comes from) so not super cosmetic but still plastic surgery for sure
This song jams so much, I love it! ❤🔥. Today, 21 years ago, Left Eye was taken from us, but she is forever in our hearts, and her legacy lives on forever! ❤🕊️❤️🕊️❤️ 4/25/2023

These three human beings are are so gorgeous. T-Boz is a great dancer. Chilli has muscle for days. Left Eye is better than most rapper now. All together three legends.
THIS ALBUM!! 🔥🔥🔥 I can't even find the words... And then I heard His Story for the first time in years. All I can say is thank you Black Hip Hop, thank you Black R&B, thank you TLC. I'll leave it at that. ❤❤❤
Yooooooooo, I totally forgot about this track and I just teared up😅 I'm 44 and thats still the kinda girl I am. Didn't realize how much this WAS ME❤❤❤IS ME
Back in this era me and my friends dressed in baggy jeans, air maxes, timbs, polo shirts, v neck sweaters, jean jackets, windbreakers etc. This was such a fun time to be alive. TLC was my favorite group. This is my favorite TLC song and video
DAMN, thats a good beat. Recently appreciated Left eye more for the genius she was. Her voice perfectly slices the beat on evry track. It reminds me of a professional yo-yo person. Expertly and precisely controling her voice and rhythm.
Missy Elliott's 2013 interview with Arthur Kade of "InTheLab" brought me here! I remember Arthur asked her on the red carpet premiere of TLC's "CrazySexyCool" 2013 TV movie what her favorite TLC song was and Missy chose this one. Not only because of its classic hip-hop vibe but also for its fast-paced rendition on the "Arsenio Hall Show". Amazing. Glad that both Missy & TLC are good friends and delivered some spectacular hotness over the years ("Dirty, Dirty", "Let's Just Do It", "Glidin' (Demo)", "Straight Jack'em")
What I love the most about the 90's is that, at that time, it seemed to be okay to just have fun, like literally have FUN with yourself and your friends and the things you liked without worrying about looking cool or sexy while doing it like nowadays. Young people these days can't seem to absentmindedly have fun with themselves anymore bc it's somehow embarassing??? You have to always kinda act like you don't care and I HATE IT
Actually it was the opposite back in the 90's. Women were called names if they wore baggy clothes or tight outfits. The rule back then was conservative, and TLC came with this video as a response to society oppresing women for wearing clothes outside of the general norm. Actually, they opened a lot of doors. And even when they came out with this video, a huge mass of people criticized them for the way they used to dress. It was a great decade for music and young people were opening to new things, but society was still green about self expressión. It was a very oppressive society back then. A lot of things teens do nowadays wouldn't be approved by society in the 90's, such as sexual education in schools, having cellphones, having same sex couples, watching drag queens on tv, etc etc etc.
Youth doesn't stop at 18. Once you stop rebelling against the wrongs in society you start getting old and you start dying faster. They were a reflection of US youth culture at the time. The young and youthful minded drive change in society, not the elderly. They weren't rebelling or trying to look like they were rebelling against their parents, they were rebelling against archaic societal and religious norms as well as the new emerging objectification of women in entertainment as a means to make a profit. It was also a movement against racism and one about enjoying life and spreading love. After the 90's soceity took a turn for the worse in many ways, now not only is objectification of women in entertainment rampant, the elderly have brainwashed the youth into creating a PC culture that furthers their agenda. Now if you speak out against women openly objectifying themselves or allowing themselves to be objectified by the globalist entertainment industry, these indoctrinated youths will do all they can to silence you and retreat to their safe spaces where they don't have to deal with reality. There's a thin line between women freely expressing themselves and women just feeding into their own objectification. "Hey everyone, look at my tits. Oh my god, you're sexist, stop looking at my tits like I'm just a sexual object." You can, at times, have your cake and eat it too, just don't be surprised when it makes you sick. To reiterate, since many won't get the point, youth culture used to drive positive change in society, now the elderly are driving negative change under the guise of positive it via the youth as their surrogates and the PC culture they've created.
+Omega Prophet A lot of people don't realize that the 90s were pretty liberal/progressive. After 9/11 everything went too far to the right, which caused the SJW craze of the 2010s. Whatever happened to nuance?
Honestly every young girl should get a copy of "Oooh...On the TLC Tip," great uplifting, feminist message encouraging girls to be themselves, believe in themselves... and the songs are still catchy as fuck.
Still Hat 2 Da Back, and being a grown lady into the 2018's Just a great group with positive influence into singing, dancing and sharing their message. TLC 4 Ever ❤❤❤🌹🙏
I know what you're talking about! My tape did the same thing because I kept playing it over & over! I don't know how many copies of this album I had on tape & they all did that, I finally bought the cd!
Absolutely love this vid, the snaps are quick, but it doesn't take away the greatness of their dancing, Left eye's rapping, singing, sass and the whole humour of the vid, just shows the authenticity of TLC...love em.
Everytime I watch a TLC video I can't help night I cry because anybody who knew Left Eye was always happy to see her perform and I think of the past and wish I was there...
