a look at some of the ways to maximise the recoil of your MWS rifle. combinations of lightweight bolt and stock, also Angry Gun Heavy Recoil Buffer Vs stock buffer and the fix for a broken AG buffer.
sadly I don't have the Volante Bolt to test as it's just more than I can afford and I'm really pleased with the recoil I'm getting from the setups I already have.
you can get the weight for the end of the bolt here (no affiliation) www.wiitech.com...

Wicked! I now know my next investments on the MWS ;) Angry gun buffer and 80% buffer spring:)) Also, I think ive found the rail system I want, Angry Gun makes a BCM MLOK handguard in 8",10" and 13". I think im gonna get the 10" one and cut out the front section so I can still run the standard gas block front sight thats pinned onto the outer barrel. Ive seen pictures of cut out mods done before and I just thought they looked so cool and unique so I'll be doing that. Plus its on a £90 rail unit and not a £500 unit 😅😅 I feel like if I was to buy a genuine Geissele or BCM handguard that I would be too scared to dust on some paint let alone butcher it on a bandsaw at work 😂😂 I think once ive got the handguard and buffer and spring sorted, it'll just be the stock and that will be that for the MWS build. I havent really paid any attention to stocks other than the old aluminium XM177 stocks which wouldnt work with this build so I need to get researching

Excellent video and can’t wait to see how you’re going to do the fire selector mod. I’ve got the Angry Gun heavy weight buffer but not installed it yet. Pleased you said about the spring as I haven’t heard about that but I’m going to get one now 👍 cheers Ollie

i have a mws dmr style ( mk12) so i am using the m16a2 stock ( g&p) with alum buffer with all 3 weights , normal bolt , dp nozzle with 4.5 g&p valve . I can track easily the bb through the scope ( clone m3) . Even the buffer heights a lot , the rate of fire is very low . Probably by reducing the buffer weights the gun will snap more so will decrease on precision ....

Hey, As far as all of us know, when you are changing shit from Marui, another parts starts to break. Have you had any problems after installing heavy buffer&/bolt? Me running basically 200 psi gas most of the year, as Finland has less warm days than Liz Truss had PM days.

I guess people get butthurt about using a "556" based gun as a DMR because technically the M14, SR25, and SCAR-H and are 762 and are probably the most well known US military DMR's (not sure about the UK's setups or other countries). But honestly, if you build it to the same length and its just as accurate, why should anyone care? Even if it wasn't as accurate, people really shouldn't be preoccupied with someone else's choice in airsoft build lol. But yeah, to me, the MWS done as an sr25 looks pretty sweet in my book. Not to mention, the design and build of a real world ar10 and ar15 are virtually the same minus mag size and other dimensions to accommodate the larger round. As far as an argument with real world application? Personally, 556 is the way to go, lighter, more round count and you can still be very accurate out to 5 or 600 especially with magnified optics. As long as the barrel is at least is at least 18 inches, the bullet should keep enough speed to stay effective at that range. 1k is too far for the round to be effective in many peoples opinion, that is where larger rounds have their merit. But squads of guys don't typically need to shoot to 1k, if they are, they'd probably use a sniper team for that shot instead regardless if their rifle was capable of it. That shot is probably for a specific reason on a higher value target, so having a sniper team that can guarantee first round impact on target would probably be beneficial in that instances. Therefore degrading the need for a large frame DMR that hinders you in several other ways. But i've heard some SF dudes answer questions about this topic and they had some valid points against 762. Mainly weight and capacity. If lethality at ranges beyond 5 to 600 is not needed, then why carry the extra weight around. 556 does everything you need it to within that range with more rounds and less weight. But this is all "bench racing" and theorizing, so people can do whatever floats their boat.

What sort of decrease in efficiency are we looking at for the heavyweight setup? Would it still run in the 0°C-5°C temps?
@OllieTalksAirsoft
@OllieTalksAirsoft 3 года назад
I know people run Guarder black gas in those sort of temperatures to help, or propalene is also higher power. When it's 0°C in the UK I usually switch to the stock buffer but it will run a heavy setup but it's sluggish. Are you in the TM GBB discord? There's people from Canada in the group who have more experience with very cold temperatures than I do. If you need the link let me know.

Hello, finally I decided to buy the MWS...for your videos ;) I'm thinking about buy the angry hard kit recoil. But i don't know if i have to make antyhing in my MWS to absorb te the buffer hits. Did you do something on your MWS to protect it from buffer hits? What buffer did you install? Can you pass me the URL? How long has the Buffer been installed? Is there a problem with the serial bolt carrier and the hard recoil kit installed? Thanks for your time.
@OllieTalksAirsoft
@OllieTalksAirsoft 2 года назад
So Angry Gun do 2 recoil buffers one marked as heavy recoil and one makes as high speed. I use the heavy recoil buffer and have done for years, it only comes out of the gun in the winter months as all gas guns struggle a bit in the cold and the extra weight makes it harder to drive the system. But you won't see any issues using the heavy recoil buffer, it's just more fun to shoot!!! How are you liking the mws so far? Pretty nuts aren't they! www.angrygun.com/products/angry-gun-super-recoil-buffer-kit-for-marui-mws-gbb-hard-kick-ver The only issue I had was that sometimes the end of the buffer tube would work itself loose and just needed tightening and the actual pin going through the buffer bent on mine 😂 too much power!!! I ended up jamming through a steel Allen key and breaking it off. It's held tight ever since!

@OllieTalksAirsoft
@OllieTalksAirsoft 2 года назад
To be honest the bolt I've found to be the best is the Original TM one. You can always change the end cap to a Wii Tech, they do a steel heavy one and a lightweight polymer one. You can then basically have a lightweight bolt or a heavy bolt for cheap just by swapping the end cap, its only one bolt too, super easy :)

IMHO lowering the recoil to be able to track the BB in flight is super counter productive. For flawless cycling in colder conditions - yes, but that's all that can justify such a downgrade for a gun who's primary role is replicating recoil. Again, IMHO GBBR are about controlling the recoil in full auto or feeling the kick after a well placed shot, the rest can be done by AEGs for much less money.
@OllieTalksAirsoft
@OllieTalksAirsoft 2 года назад
Thanks for the comment. Since filing this I actually picked up a real ACOG and a real Trigicon short dot, with the increased glass clarity the recoil has less impact on me being able to track the BB in flight. If you're after recoil, which as you point out we all are! Then the Guarder Airtight gas routers and AMG high flow valves in the A1A Pmag gives more recoil than a standard MWS mag. Also if you put a high flow valve and the Guarder routers into an OG MWS mag it's still not as punchy as the A1A Upgraded. But wait, I've ordered the new T8 Pmag to test so we'll see how that does when it arrives. Thanks for your comments I do appreciate you taking the time.

Will the stock spring on a Tm mk18 MWS be okay to leave in after installing the AngryGun buffer? Will it force other parts to break also?

Nah it's fine. I've been using a stock spring with the AG heavy buffer for years with no issue. If you want a faster bolt return you can upgrade the buffer spring to a 120% or something like that.
