★★★ *FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE VIDEO / FACT UPDATES* ★★★ *1) What is the point of building a bike like that, it's a waste of time & money* - He is a professional motorbike designer & builder, and this bike won Best of Show at the biggest motorbike event, so he will now get loads of free marketing of his bike (like this video) and heaps of new business, as many more people will know of him and what he can make. So even if he spent $100k on building that bike, he could make that back ten fold, through free advertising and new business. *2) Does the bike have any kind of suspension or is it a hardtail* - The bike does have suspension. Notice at 2:10 there are small air bags for the front and rear swing arms. *3) The bike cannot turn corners* - Of course it can, he rides it to Bike Shows, he does not show it in the footage, but of course it can turn, the front wheel has 2 pivot points to turn the front wheel. *4) it's too low to the ground, there is no ground clearance for speed bumps etc* - The bike does have airbag suspension, the bike might be able to be raised and lowered as needed by a push of a button, so in the video while riding on a flat road they lowered it for maximum coolness, but can raise it as needed. They do the same thing with cars on 'Fast N Loud' when showing them off.
@@thedolphin602 - No it cannot, I did some asking in other channels with his moto-psychol and it can steer slightly left or right but in a corner it literally cannot turn as a regular motorcycle. It turns only slightly to do wide turns but not regular normal turns as in corner blocks of city streets. It's why they call it the Moto-Psychol.
From what I see, the drive to the rear wheel is by friction wheel against the back tire. That precludes any practical application of power more than just enough to move it around. It is a gorgeous piece of work but is engineered to hold itself together enough to show that it can function. The engine unit weighs in the neighborhood of 300 lbs with all components so the structure is at it's limits, something a formula one driver would certainly be familiar with.
in the future we will have small autonomous robots all over the place cleaning things up. they appear like little rats cleaning up your litter then disappearing into the walls.
@@cessposter just take a look at Leonardo Davinvcis helicopter design , yeah it's not practical but make a handful of tweaks and you got an actual helicopter
@Peter Evans Actually a lot of that is starting to happen as we speak. People are starting to awaken to the fact that there is a huge inequality problem. We are starting to figure out frequencies that can destroy cancer cells, let alone the rabbit hole of we are creating our diseases with our minds. Go check out Bruce Lipton's work on epigenetics. But for all of these things to happen someone has to have a dream that it can happen. If everyone could realise we are in this together and we our all creating this reality together then things will surely get better. But we have to dream and know it is possible first. And if you have enough insight about what is wrong with the world, what are you doing to make it better? Are you thinking of ways to cure cancer? Are you doing what is necessary to restructure governments? Practicality is only as good as those who know how to use it. Use your imagination to start making the difference you want to see. But if someone finds joy in creating something then there is nothing wrong with that. That joy, that love, of creating is essential to all of us. Don't get too caught up in all the fine details and look at the bigger picture. If everyone could follow their dreams without fear we would be living in a better world already. Like Morpheus says in the Matrix, "You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it." So it's up to the ones who do see what is going on to make the difference. Love and peace.
7 inch wide butt crack? So the pelvic bones with be torn apart and then the wheel will rip the skin off of the spinal cord and keep rolling through the ribcage with that aeroplane engine. By hey, at least it looks like a crappy cigar cutter right? I think a really cool motorcycle would be one that didn't sound as if a lactose intolerant giant with a particularly tight anus was farting his way through the streets with a tiny imbecile holding onto his back trying to get attention.
The bike is strictly an exercise in art. Engine is from the 1960's, CVT is similar to design used on snowmobiles for 50 years, hubless wheels are structurally inefficient and require ridiculously high wheel bearing velocities, tires appear to be rubber strips which provide no protection from pothole damage, ...
John Robertson : Yeah!................... But it's cool!!.........It has that ingredient......."Way cool", not one person (human that is) that saw it wouldn't say "WTF" or "holy sh*t or "OMFG"...That's the cool factor!
your glass is half empty? you sound like a real sad case. never kicked a goal in your own life so you spend your days putting other peoples ideas down. get a life.
@@gmln9ne : At least the chap has achieved something, he has created a motorcycle which is a work of art. He would have had problems which he had to overcome, methods, ideas to put into practice, assessing the outcome, trials at various stages and finally the end result, he achieved his goal, he didn't stand there and moan and grizzle on how everything sucks and all things are BS.
A beautiful build IMO especially for bike and car shows. This just proves that his ingenuity is one of a kind. To those who are saying it's not practical and it's dangerous, It is not practical and it is dangerous (specially the rear wheel) but the point of this build is to show his creative ability and make people turn their heads.
D Twist wouldn’t be surprised. If they allow people to drive that fast it would be pretty stupid to leave big ruts in it. I envy the autobahn or even roads in the western US. I live in Massachusetts and everything is too condensed or old for straight roads and the winter/plows turn the streets into a pothole apocalypse. Not easy on forged wheels😳
@@petermello55 lol! Not that much better in California where a million cars per day travel one single road. I've seen potholes fixed and literally a week later, it's worse than it was.
@@veovis523 Has me reminded of grinding a piece of steel, losing my grip on it, and it jams between the part rest, and the grinding wheel.... Steel is a lot harder than Butt so it just jams and stops the grinder...... Butts won't do the same..... 😬 😱
@@conniee. My thoughts exactly. I like the idea of it but it obviously needs some redesigning. I'd like to sit up and lean back a bit at traffic lights. Also I'd like to not have dirt and gravel slung all over my back. The headlights would be tricky. But I like the ingenuity and boldness. I'm wondering how difficult it would be to pick it up if you dumped it, as that engine is likely very heavy.
@@Mikey-ym6ok more pathetic than this bike is the O.P. puppy-slobbering over it with F.A.Q. / answers that defy logic. He rides to "shows" ? I kinda doubt it. Carries a mystery backpack 400 miles to a show? C'mon. I also doubt any legitimate sponsor would attach their name to it.
"If we only create things that are practical, what's the point of imagination and having a dream?" --Some dude who does not realize that imagination and dreams can create practical things
sharp turn??? not even a wide turn was taken during the video... don't think you can turn that thing in a real city/traffic situation holding your line
That could be easily fixed by lengthening the wheel base in the rear and adding a sissy bar or the like to protect his rear. I still want to see it turn.
"But if we only make things that are practical, what's the use of having an imagination." Huh? Imagination and practical inventions are not mutually exclusive. But it does look cool and I'm glad it was built.
I have to say I think that guy is a moron also, imagination is what drives practicality. It's just a stupid way for someone to try to make others feel that artistic bullshit is useful... when it's not.
"If we always create things that are practical, what's the point of having an imagination and following a dream?" Thank you I really needed to hear that. The world needs more of this attitude. It's starting to get all about production and numbers and profit, instead of art and creativity and beauty.
@Peter Evans um, yes, but how exactly is a Formula One car designer going to cure cancer? Not everyone is going to become a doctor, or a government official, or a social worker. The world needs artists, dancers, storytellers, musicians, and dreamers now more than ever. Dio was right, nobody bleeds for the dancer...
This is a sick build regardless of the trash talks! Yes it needs adjustments! Yes it’s an airplane engine but by God just look at this thing !!! I can only imagine what it took just to have this on the road !!! Massive props !! All haters that never built a thing have zero clues but sure… everyone is an expert online lol
yup.. the look.. futuristic..ok.. that rear wheel looks dangerous but i guess some piece of fiberglass back protector can be made in lieu with the bikes design and put there.. but the sound.. the sound is vicious..
What the bike looks like it should sound like: *Slick sci-fi humming, almost completely silent* What the bike actually sounds like: *A whoopee cushion that never runs out of air*
He solved the longitudinal engine configuration for a large engine. He put the drive pulleys for the CVT transmission, at the front of the engine, and ran an automotive CV axle shaft, to the rear. This allows the engine to be in the proper position. That's amazing. This configuration should be used by other people, because the transmission is always the most difficult part to fabricate, when using an airplane engine, or car engine. Using a CVT belt transmission is genius, because it allows the engine to have the proper gear ratios, instead of just 1 or 2 gears, like a Boss Hoss.
And noise, heat, etc. Very strange mixture of amazing wheel, steering, and suspension system mated with an odd, contradictory power train. A strange [15 year?] concept project.
I just can't understand why the people are just pointing out the mistakes. Bike looks so good and design of any automobile brand just keeps on improving day by day to fill up the loopholes. The truth is that most of us can't even think about the existence of such bikes. Btw, great bike and concept.
The 2 metal rods that connect the front wheel to the bike are pivots that are comnected to the steering wheel. I think. Or they are connected to foot pedals that steer the bike.

Really beautiful. I couldn't care less about the fact that is impractical: if you want to bend it, brake or avoid being ground by the rear wheel you just have to raise the engine and to increase the angle between the chassis and the wheels (which is currently 0°) to probably 30° (maybe less). But the concept is astounding. I guess that someone will perfect it and that TMC Dumont 2.0 will be electrical...
Rolls Royce did NOT manufacture this motor. Continental is an American aircraft engine manufacturer and has NOTHING to do with Rolls Royce. Get your facts straight.
Definitely not a Rolls Royce. To my knowledge, RR hasn't ever made a flat engine, but I could be wrong. Most Continental engines I've seen have the marquee stamped on the valve covers, I think the engine is a Lycoming O-480 or O-540.
to goofy of a bike to watch the video, but the heads on this engine look like they are from a ground power unit, airplane engines have the intake and exhaust on the bottom for better pilot visability and raising the propeller of the ground.
@@NikeaTiber Lycoming never made any engines with intake tubes coming over top of the engine, can't be a Lycoming. Those valve covers look very similar to a Continental O-300, however, O-300's were never fuel injected nor did they have intake tubes over top of the engine.
*Achievement Unlocked: Bring out the Danger* Interesting concept (looks kinda like something Dyson woulda done), but quite a risky one not gonna lie... xD

I saw his ass close to the rear wheel and I was like "Okay he might be dragged over the wheel in the worst case" until a half second later my brain figured out the true turning direction. And my face went from 😄 to 😲
The front wheel doesnt have to be turned to change direction. You simply lean towards the side you wanna turn and you "magically" change the direction;) even on a normal motorcycle/bicycle you change direction only by changing your center of mass(leaning right or left), you never actually turn your front wheel.
@@superhigh99 you have to lean... There is no other way to turn, even on a normal bike you steer just by moving your center of mass which makes you turn. You dont actually turn the handle.
