I have seen the videos of the actors doing the moves, from the 1st MK game. So it was film digitized into the video game with some graphical touch ups. :)
Congrats on your 800th video TMK, and yes I enjoy your long videos. Because of WB's treatment towards you, I have held off playing the new MK. I bought the Kollector's Edition at launch, hell I even picked up the Hardcover strategy guide. I'll play it someday though.
They have bought an R rating into Australia games will not be banned anymore but it comes into effect January 1st 2013. Thats when MK can come out here.
You know it's funny, I've been playing through Deadly Alliance again while watching your videos, and yesterday I noticed that you had 799 videos, I was wondering if you were going to do something for 800.. funny how that works, anyway great job on the views and subs, I've been a fan since 2009 and you've helped me rediscover my love for mortal kombat( I personally kinda felt burned by Armageddon and DCU), so keep up with the good work.
ever since i seen u do a vid for the first time,i thought u were a cool dude.ive always had a thing for mortal kombat as well. I live a little over an hour away from netherrealm studios.I went inside the lobby but of course I couldn't go in the back.it was still really cool though. I had the receptionist take a picture of me sitting in the Throne that they have in the lobby.ill keep hitting that like button for ya bro!!!

I really enjoyed this review, but I was hoping you'd address something you mentioned in a previous video, about some characters like Quan Chi and Noob Saibot being super cheap in this game. I swear, whenever I fight Noob in single player, he will spam the hell out of his teleport slam move, and Quan Chi just hypnotizes you over and over. I'm sure you'll address it when you continue story mode, but I was surprised you didn't mention it here.
WB has also offered a soundtrack, special editions with actual good quality arcade stick or bookends, MK tour, a web series, and a movie in the works. WB takes good care of their franchises, and they paid big money for MK for a reason. They are going to treat it well and make sure it gets the attention it deserved to be a top quality title. They are also allowed to branch out and make other games besides MK. Netherrealm is happy, and they should be. So we as fans should be happy for them.
I think he was just letting people know you could buy a copy of Cheetahman II if you wanted too. Hell I wanted too I just can't afford it, getting a factory sealed NES game is epic and NED is AVGN's specialty.

Also, I totally agree with you about the title. It really should've been called Mortal Kombat 9. There's no point just calling it Mortal Kombat, what are they gonna call the next MK then?

The likely reason for the Disturbed song not on the trailer in the game, is because of liscensing royalties they would have to pay since it's in a game they are selling. Many companies do this with DVDs they put out. Like in wrestling, if they had a liscensed song while showing a PPV, on the DVDs they usually change them to in house music so they don't have to give the band royalty fees since it's being sold. It's common in business. No reason to turn it into a knock on WB.

WB has done far more for MK than Midway was doing, especially in it's last few years. The MK team is in good hands now, as well as the franchise itself. The huge increase in quality of MK9 is proof of that. Look up interviews of Netherrealm talking about their relationship with WB. WB gives them more time, they are more hands off and let them make the game they want to make, and they give them the necessary budget to make the game as good as they can. Midway rushed them out for some money.
I got the Komplete editions and was really happy to get them, but it's disappointing that this country's retailers see NONE of the money from this massive game at all. The ban hurt more than did any real good. I feel the damage was already done for two decades. Games had to be reduced in violence and sex worldwide such as GTA only because we had to be so sensitive about it. Australia had been the most censored Western nation in video games, I felt it was really backwards compared with movies.

I'm not saying Midway didn't have it's good times or pro's, nor am I saying WB is perfect. But to say you don't like WB just because they didn't want to spill all the beans about MK9 and let people video it etc. and didn't put out tons of info and screens as often as Midway did, doesn't mean MK wasn't marketed well. It was a huge success. Not showing off your game as much and leaving more to be discovered, and building intrigue, can be a good thing. MK is better in WB's hands for the long term.
Did you notice in the shadow trailer Scorpions outfit is different from the final game! He looks like a actual ninja and in the game not so much check it out!

Thats not what I said about MK9 AT ALL. I said this company has disrespected me and my website / youtube / twitter / facebook and the main people that have been disrespected is my followers. I didn't ask for "tons of screens" I asked for what was made available for press but NOT websites I have proof of WB lying to me on email about certain screenshots not being given to me cause im not "print media" where I have found them labeled on other sites and FTP's as "press use" and "online use"
I have only ever had problems with 1 other PR / Game Studio in the whole time I have been doing press, and that was resolved quickly. WB ignored e-mails didn't try to resolve anything even calling and speaking to them on the phone i was fobbed off with alot of typical rubbish. Trying to contact there head of PR those e-mails went ignored. I contacted them for months before any videos went live they had there chance with me and now they reap what they sowed.
Midway Started MK all WB did was aquire it to extend there empire. With money of course the quality goes up. Midway were struggeling for years. Just cause people smile for the Camera and say "Netherreal are Great" doesn't mean they are thats just corporate politics mate.
I know why the song wasn't there, I don't give a flying shit. They should of secured the proper rights to it or not put it on there at all. replacing the music was taking a giant shit on the whole style of that trailer. If they couldnt do that they should of got a signed legal contract with a band to do a song and have it on the game without paying additional royalties.
LAstly, no company treats their fans 100% perfectly. So if you want to hate a company because of a dispute someone had with them, which we only know TMK's side of the story anyways, and the other MK site owners didn't take TMK's side for reasons we may not know the whole story of... If you hate a company because of that, you can find reason to hate just about every company. Every company dicks some people over one way or another. This is all my opinion of course. That's all any of us can offer.
Well if you knew, then why'd you suggest that maybe they had a "falling out" which is "no surprise". Really, a change in song shits all over the thing? Maybe they considered it an option, but the band wanted more than they felt it was worth, we don't know the details. Could have been NRS's decision for all we know. Regardless, It's their money, and these things happen all the time in the media industry. Personally, i'd rather the trailer remain in the game. To each their own.
And the thing with TMK, and their dispute...everyone has issues with some people at one point or another. I'm sure you have fought with friends or mistreated people at times. Nobody is perfect. To think WB was 100% at fault and TMK was perfect and handled the situation the best way possible, is a bit naive. I'm sure both WB and TMK disrespected each other, and TMK's public rants and bashing did him no favors I am sure. That's never the way to make things better, even if he tried other ways first
Every single PR / Game Studio I have done Press for has treated me with nothing but respect and thats in Australia, Europe and the US. It's only been WB who have been nothing but a rude company I even have proof of them talking shit about me personaly behind my back. You have seen my side of the story, you think I have worked since 1999 to just decide" fuck it I hate WB now fuck them" no, they were rude and racist and I can proove it all on my emails.
the only thing i didn't like about the game is when the blood hits the floor..... on some levels like deadpool the blood looks fantastic. incredibly detailed. but on the majority of levels it is blurry and low resolution. alot like the blood on ufc undisputed. bums me out a bit

I don't care about the band I care about the song fitting the trailer, and it does just like Immortal by Adema fitted that MK:DA song, didn't mean I went out and bought Adema CD's.
I think Australia needs to take that MK ban off...Its a damn videogame...Even if its banned everyone knows bout it already...So let Australians play the game
