Yh his complaints seem like he doesn’t like the way tekken 8 gameplay is reduced to 50/50 brain dead gameplay which is pretty much every char in this game now
TMM could literally make the same video about every single character, EASILY, this is not a Lee specific thing, I swear everyday I wake up, people are crying about a different character, then when we run out of characters to cry about, we will rotate back to the start and begin the cycle again until every character only has an 18 frame jab and no other moves
If you are a Lee player with no style you should be banished to the shadow realm. Lee is a character of class so toxicity should be out of the picture.
Just to clarify. It was hard to tell while live but I understand his complaints are about the tekken 8 way of playing Lee with brain dead 50/50’s only (b33) and no actual game knowledge, sadly this seems like the case with almost all the characters in this game

i agree, its not that the assessment is wrong, its the fact that most characters in t8 are braindead. the one's that were already braindead are still braindead and some characters that used to be honest characters are now braindead as well

I honestly didn’t know 1+2 was plus on block if you go into hitman because how little it changes when it comes to lee I mean yeah Lee is good and there’s players who cheese with him but that’s with every character especially the Mishimas 😡

It's valid to bitch about it sure and it is annoying to deal with in this game but people need to remember that Lee literally dies if you block it lmao because he doesn't have a Hwoarang panic option after it that makes it so inconsistent to punsh. And it being natural kinda justifies the slide nerf. In the end though I feel like his criticism is more towards Tekken 8 playstyle and newer players who over-rely on Lee's dumb new tools in general rather than a criticism of the character as a whole. He feels like Lee lost a little bit of his identity cause he was never a rushdown character but people play him like that now a bit as opposed to having good timing and mastering his neutral and keep-out. At least that's what I gathered from his Tekken 7 Lee vs Tekken 8 Lee comparison which I think was pretty valid. It's just easy to misconstrue what he's saying as an attack on the character just cause he was venting
I'm glad he made the distinction between T8 Lee players and the rest of us, because it feels like everyone learned the matchup because of people just using him for unga bunga, so now to beat people we as loyalists have to try *extra* hard to use obscure tactics and moves in a game that doesn't like us playing defensively yet
None of you understood the point of the video or what he was saying: The reason why he even started talking about Lee was because one of his viewers asked about help on Lee, because he felt stuck. Tmm then tries to explain how a player should improve and learn Lee, when he talks about 1+2 he is not complaining he says that a player should learn to feel enemy players timing, when he talks about ws2,3 he is not complaining he says a player should learn what he can punish with 14f launcher, and even he clarifies that it is inconsistent, same with magic 4 and any other lee tool he talks about. The only move that is not highlighted in that way is b3,3 but overall TMM likes Lee, he said multiple times that he is one his favorite characters in Tekken.
He is completely right btw, if you are learning Lee and try to play him with b3,3 wr3,4 f2,1 d4,4 you wont learn the character and will be stuck, if you do want to learn lee properly you actually do have to learn how to do timing, keep out, correct punishment etc

Don't think MainMan was saying ws2,3 was part of the brain rot, that sounded like "You block/duck, you punish with a 14-frame launcher*" I kinda agree with him tho, because I've experienced it. Braindead mashing and rushdown gets you past blue easy, but if you keep playing like that after, you're rolling the dice. My first lose streak in T8, was when I got lazy when fighting Tekken King and above and went for the rushdown. After calming down and focusing more on pokes and timing, I started doing well again. Also the guy who said Hwoarang's d3,4 is honest is either a clown practicing his new routine, or a war criminal. If you block Lee's b3,3, you stay ducking, and you launch him. You block Hwo's d3, you can still stand up and get hit or block by the 4, and if you're late on the punish you get hit by a follow up
Tmm was not saying he hates lee or he is op or somthing he was saying to lee players learn lee and master the true lee . do not just do stupid T8 BS . he is not saying that lee is a bad or op charecter . tmm shows big respect for lee and his real players since T7

you cant play T7 lee and expect to win in T8 he's not the same characters anymore and this is a vastly different(and fucked up BS) game T8 is brain rot. Lee is low tier in this game also so he cant be complaining about strong moves etc. Lee has so many issues in this game from movement to range and tracking he's missing a lot compared to other characters. he mentions Lee's back 4 its severely nerfed now he's tripping and doesn't no Lee isn't the same anymore and playing legacy Lee you will get washed. Lee is no where near top 10. Feng,jin,nina,xioyou,dj,draonov,alisa,lili,yoshimitsu,steve,law,jack all better than Lee
This is honestly one of the many reasons why I don't really like TMM like that. It just seems that he whines and complains about everything without ever trying to counter stuff and just begging for things to be nerfed or claiming things that inherently aren't that bad to deal with are just these super broken uncounterable messes in the game. Plus that guy spams a lot, never liked his content in the first place.
You can step Kazuya's sweep and his 50/50 in general, you have options even after knockdowns in T8.. Nothing wrong with kazuya at all you lee mains are brain root
Someone got hellsweep'd 4 times LOL. The thing is Kazuya doesn't have rush down he only has his 50/50. If you get hit by vortex thats your fault. You can literally side roll and stay on the ground to counter 2/3 out of his usual Okizeme (FF3 and hell sweep, even FF4 if he rushes the input when your oll) 😂
just remove every move , better yet, just delete every character because people will never stop complaining, if a move is annoying, it doesn't always mean it needs a nerf, when I get dominated by a string spamming hwoarang i dont cry for nerfs, I just blame my lack of knowledge and skill and move on

He never ever said the character was OP - he only said that people who play him lack defensive skills due to doubling down purely on offense. And he's not wrong, these type of Lee players are super easy to beat because theyre predictable

Love the reaction vid and the correct identification that TMM was talking about a particular type of players that obviously does not extend to Miirio!
It would be good to 1.: fix ws 2,3 into heat, 2.: when b33's first hit connects, make the second guaranteed, sometimes that second hit can whiff, depends on range. Imo Lee is still an op character with his own unique style. Loved T7 Lee as well, his defensive playstyle. Another thing: If you don't go in, you'll be in big trouble defending always. Somewhat sadly the game emphasizes aggressive gameplay, so you gotta be, if only a bit, more aggressive yourself.
Honestly with his jab and df1 range, f4 easy pickup or into powercrush on block, dumb heat smash, 214 and ff2, jin would still be better than lee if even his slide and m4 never got nerfed. So many busted characters that b3,3 is the only thing keeping him relevant

It’s an r-worded opinion because he’s crying about playing Tekken 8. It’s not Tekken 7 anymore, backdashing and keep out for full rounds doesn’t work anymore. You’re literally FORCED into rush down, landing a ff3 or df4/4 puts you in uncanceable heat dash (and the opponent has one too). I don’t remember TMM being this dogbrained

@@biggestman123 the crazy part is it’s bad advice. Tekken 7 lee does not work in a game where heat dashes exist. Why would you spend 100+ hours mastering the wrong playstyle? The only remotely relevant thing he said was “land your just frames and pickups”, which every lee above red ranks knows.
@@biggestman123 Tekken 7 Lee was a defensive keep out character. That doesn’t work in Tekken 8. It makes about as much sense as saying “Learn Tekken 7 Steve before Tekken 8 Steve”. I sympathize with him that Tekken 7 Lee required much more finesse and timing, but it is not optimal in T8.

agreed b33 need some slightly nerf but other than that lee is pretty balance for the ammout of execution that he is required...in terms of execution for me he is harder than bryan...
why would it need a nerf? people say everything needs a nerf, if they nerf b33 then they should nerf all of hwoarangs mix up strings too, if they nerf everything, people are just going to tier whore even more because these side characters that aren't even problematic are going to be nerfed into being less viable

@@michaeljakeem5009 play the game bro. play ranked match. with the new introduction to heat burst and better power crush & grab mechanic, it's so easy to get away with everything. u can just spam with it. seeing new players just mashing button and not learn about matchup it's just so dissapointing. for example a ranked match against Law, you always duck the second string of Law's 3+4, 4 right? in higher ranked people will always duck that but in lower ranked not all players will duck that cuz they are new to the game and not know matchup. but based on my experience playing on Tekken 8, nobody in the lower ranked ever duck that string. it's so disappointing cuz even in lower ranked in tekken 7 people duck that but not in tekken 8. heck you seen 3ddy with his 33333, so dissapointing to see new players aren't ducking that 3ddy strings. if that 3ddy strings exist in tekken 7, i bet people even in lower ranked can duck that. and not to mention about not punishing properly. is just disappointing on the way tekken 8 teaches you to play the game because of how easy to win match without proper fundamentals.
