Can we just agree that the issue isn’t really that people are misinterpreting TMM, it’s that TMM himself is a salty whiny mf and therefore his audience gets ammunition from him? Whether or not they interpret specific talking points correctly, he makes them feel like they have permission to just make excuses and complain rather than the answer 99% of the time being that it’s something they just need to improve on

This. You have no idea how many times I had to sit people down because they haven’t played a Lee that focuses on fundamentals, all because they saw that vid from TMM. People are are so quick to regurgitate what they see/hear on the internet, it’s wild.
TMM is pretty clever but peoples just reinterpreted his terms. He just said that there is too type of Lee players now in T8. Thoses how plays like in T7 with good fondamental, spacing, wiff punish, poke & use a lot of his kit ; and thoses or are just playing like tard with spamming b33.
That's not even what MainMan said, but I guess people just read the title or watched the cold open, and just interpreted that as "Lee is brainrot character now, just spam b33, don't ever use that move if you wanna be a good Lee". I know what he was talking about tho, 'cause I did fight a Tekken King Lee who, not completely, but largely just spammed running 3,4 and b3,3 What TMM explicitly said is "Master Old Tekken 7 style Lee, then ADD the new pressure and rushdown tools, and you got a very strong character"

The thing is that's not even what TMM said, he said you have brainrot if you only rely on those moves yet don't know how to play T7 Lee, and just to master that first before using the new OP stuff.

He plays a big role in promoting toxicity in the community, ie attacking people for using their characters’ strong moves as if they should play suboptimally for us. TMM doesn’t seem to be able to cope with the fact that there are new Tekken games that aren’t exactly to his liking and that some characters in them have moves or playstyles that are very strong

Because the devs havent fixed the plug problem. People can just cherry pick who they fight and play braindead againts people who cant adapt. The moment they lose, cancel/plug, find another prey to spam their cheese and plug again if they learn how to counter it. People are at a higher rank than what they should be 100%

Is your Lee skin Guy from Street Fighter? if so, that's pretty cool. He's one of my favorites. Also, I'd recommend not letting others opinions of how you play get in your head. If they wanna give you tips then that's cool. But who cares what they think about how YOU play the game? You do your thing, let them do theirs.

As a Hwoarang Main, I’m ashamed. We probably know damn well he mashed D 3 4 to get where he his right now. D 3 3 is very similar post patch where now both commands are definitely more likely to get punished more like D 3 3 has been. D 3 3 is still a very important tool in lees Kit. If there not blocking it keep using it. I don’t take TMM serious most of the time anyway. Edit: Just watched the dogwater gameplay. I don’t know how he made it that far to Tekken King. All of that stuff is unsafe and punishable he’s doing. This guy is constantly using 4444 into the hunting hawk as a combo ender 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I fought this same guy myself weeks ago when he was Raijin. Spammed the same dogshit moves and I destroyed him. Even more hilarious to me that I think I knew this guy before tekken. In a DMC server of all things.
