Another week, another Tony Nijhuis build project... or two... or more! I have to confess that I've fallen for the 'look' of his fun scale models and the relative ease of their construction, plus their eminent flyability, too. If there is a better 'bang for the buck' in the balsa world, I'd like to see it. So, I admit it... I've become a total Tony Nijhuis fan girl... but I'm not about to start stalking him!! Well, not yet, anyway! :o))

Hi Gina, A good move to salvage all the good bits from both Hurricanes. As you say, you can now use the spare parts into both the 109 and the Spitfire. One thing I've noticed in the last couple of builds that you have done is that your a very neat and tidy builder, and, when you finish a plane, the finish is very neat and clean. Whoever taught you you have learnt very well. I have to admit that although I'm a good builder, I could never get as good a finish as some of those who just have that extra skill, and you seem to be one of those people that have that extra skill. Both of these aircraft from Tony remind me of the Cambrian Fun Fighters that were all the rage back in the day, and they were glow powered aircraft and all sheet wings and skinny profile fuselages. At least with Tony, he has designed these to be simple semi scale models that are easy to fly and relatively cheap to build. I'll follow the build and finish and look forward to the maiden flights. You need a flying buddy to have a dog fight with!😁😁😁 See you next video. Cheers, Lee.

This is interesting! 🌝 P.S. I think the Spitfire was the best fighter of WWII!👍

Crickey! There's no stopping you, is there! As a Hurry man I would not sacrifice a Hurry to Create a Spitfire! Having said that, I currently have 3 Spitfires and only 1 Dynam Hurricane. I lost a nice scratch built 63" 6s powered Hurricane due to a failed Aileron servo back in the Summer. All the usable parts will be reused, less the aileron servo!!

Nice work Gina! I think I would buy 4.3gm servos though to save both weight and the hassle of hiding those ones. :)

Even 2.5 gm ones are available relatively cheap.
