Apparently those in charge of TNA really were impressed by Kid Kash's performance as he would be signed to a TNA contract a year later from 2011 up until 2013

Tazz constantly talking to Cole despite being at TNA is just my favorite thing.

You can tell that none of the TNA wrestlers on the "I remember" segments even watched or were fans of ECW outside maybe Chris Sabin, Kaz and Joey Neal

You should do more TNA angles on your main show, like the “They’re here” Immortals angle or *insert wrestler* IN TNA like your IN WWF/WWE and WCW series.

I remember in the botchamania video for this ppv, Maffew kept a tally of how many times Tenay and Taz accidentally metioned ECW. Also, can you believe botchamania has been going on for ten years?

Correction at 22:08 : Dreamer did beat Raven one time in a loser leaves town match, which led to Raven heading to WCW. Legend has it that Raven still wanted to beat Tommy on that night to keep the show interesting.

It was awesome to see Tracy Smothers still doing his thing at his age. He's such an awesome person. Definitely a legend. I hope he beats this battle he's going thru right now with the big C. Prayers goes out to him and his family.

I know I'm really late to comment on this video, and maybe it has already been mentioned, but... I just thought I would throw it put there that this isn't TNA's first ECW style show. They also did a "Hardcore War" show at the ECW arena in 2006. It was a mix of ECW and TNA talent. It was a pretty entertaining show. Not sure why it isn't on the Impact streaming service, but I do own the DVD.

there was a storyline in 30 rock where jane krakowski's character signs on to star in (and i think) produce a janis joplin biopic. but they're unable to acquire the rights to her music or even to her life story (i think another studio buys them before they can and that studio makes a janis joplin biopic with an actual legitimate actress like meryl streep). they still make the movie tho about "jenis japlin" (or something like that) and use music that's similar but not so similar that they'd get sued

Johnny Swinger is STILL in Impact, still wrestling at a fairly decdnt level and he's got a really good theme song, to me at least. I want to see Impact and AEW start crossing over talent so we can get Swinger vs Dustin in a "We shouldn't still be wrestling at this age, but we are and we're killing it." Match.

I remember Paul Heyman crapping on this show, and how he proposed running TNA (firing every veteran except for Angle, and making it about the young stars) in an interview with Ariel Helwani

I always associate this PPV with Noah Antweiler in my mind. he's largely responsible for getting me to start paying attention to wrestling after falling off somewhere mid-ruthless aggression era. his TNA Vlogs that would later go on to be called "WRESTLE! WRESTLE!" brought a joy back to me, and I remember him REALLY Disliking this PPV and how much of an insult the build for this was.

Well now you have to complete the ECW reunion trifecta and review Hardcore Home Coming. Not a classic PPV but could still be a video somewhere.

In retrospect...”the zombie” is the most over character in ECW history!

This PPV is almost emblematic of what has always been TNA's problem (regardless of whose running it) They are so desperate for a rub and an acknowledgement that they are willing to A) Get their claws into anything at the expense of their own identity, B) Changing identities as if they were a pair of jeans regardless of how stained and run down the jeans are and C) Being under this quick fix mentality in that they think if they just get this guy or do this than all of their problems become solved and they are now a fully optimised product They were trying to hire Paul Heyman around this time which obviously didn't happen so they could add him to what was already becoming an old name bonanza for their creative and booking teams (It had already had Russo, Ferrara, Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff AND Hulk Hogan all in at some point...all those guys and they wanted to add Heyman to it?), the ECW reunion shows were already becoming tiresome by this point after WWE's two reunion show and WWECW and this isn't even going into the independent Hardcore Reunions and TNA's own ECW invasion back during the Asylum years so already people were sick of ECW nostalgia. And to put things into perspective, TNA did have their own PPV lined up for Hardcore Justice before shelving it for this ECW reunion wankfest which they did the Impact after this show which people generally enjoyed. It had the Beer Money Vs MCMG series finale for the tag titles, AJ Vs Angle and a decent title match with RVD and Abyss...nothing must see but definitely good if you've seen it. So they had this really good PPV line up...and they pushed it to the free tv show so the non TNA guys can get the PPV spot. A PPV spot for guys who were most likely not going to have a job in a matter of weeks, putting over people who shouldn't be put over and a company that they have no real connection to that their competition owns.

My man! You brought up Two of Us and it ain't even the 5 minute mark. I fucking love you.
