Central Siberian Republic, a.k.a. Tomsk, is one of the more unique Russian reunification contenders in The New Order mod. Formed mostly by intellectuals under the helm of Boris Pasternak, utilizing an unprecedented system of Salon democracy no one seems to understand and positioning themselves as an island of relative sanity compared to some other Siberian warlords, it has been seen as an interesting country with four potential outcomes for four "salons". Despite all that, Tomsk is weirdly enough criticized for being watered down, as well as for presenting itself as an overly optimistic utopia in all outcomes one way or another, Modernist and Humanist routes specifically.
But what if Tomsk actually had some edge to it? What if Kharms' futuristic tendencies and Likhachev's anti-authoritatianism were cranked up, what if Sakharov's atomic past OTL was more represented TTL - hell, what if Shostakovich and Tukhachevsky ACTUALLY linked up? What if Tomsk was a little more, dare I say... based?
