Listening to tk is how I got to enjoy competitive smash, so seeing him get back out there with a different game is awesome. Tk's commentary enhances any viewing experience.
I got into smash a couple years ago loved watching tournaments being hosted by tk n Ee. I moved over to TK and I’m glad to see him here too. He makes watching fun.
@Shadow, I appreciate your efforts in showcasing Zafina's potential. Despite some players dismissing her due to nerfs, your performance demonstrates her continued viability, culminating in a tournament victory. Your skill truly shines.
Damn I remember seeing KingReyJr play on stage when he was a super small kid at the final round all those years ago. It's crazy he's still playing Asuka and he's so much better.
Shadow 20z is a professional international player. He's extremely good at the global level. If I recall, he beat Arslan Ash several years ago with Claudio. I'm not surprised that he won this competition, playing against national competitors. There are levels. Claudio has traditionally been his main character he uses, but Zafina has been his second most used over the years.
Damn that Asuka player was GAMING And i can see Joonya been deep in the lab since that last round. Absolutely disgusting setups, and baiting out the usual Reina counters so he could counter the counter. Very nice.
*The fact that Zafina is nerfed and low tier but managed to go up against strong broken characters is amazing lol just imagine how lethal she’ll be when they buff her*
Man seeing all this high level tekken play is mad fun, and I’m a smash player so watching Shadow 20z be the MKLeo of tekken and wash the tekken tournament is pretty identical to watching MKLeo wash almost every smash tournament, as well as KingReyJr being the Sparg0 of tekken showing his skills
@@kitezzz360 it is not zafina winning the tournament, it is shadow winning the tournament. Stip underestimating Shadow, he has proven to be one of the strongest players in the world, so im.not surprised he washed people at this amateur event.
@OnyxeBlade he's pretty good. Dude used to play claudio in 7 and it looks like he lost some weight! He always has a really bored or sad expression on his face though.
I’m so glad Shadow is showing up with Zafina. I don’t think she’s the lowest of low tier. She still has a great back dash and can make moves whiff a lot easier. Let’s not mention all the knowledge check she has in her stances. She’s alright and playable, you can take her far.
tiers lists thrown together within a month of release mean nothing, this Zafina player just exposed them all as the desperate clickbaiters that they are
Zafina’s movement was nerfed. She does less damage and damages herself. Shadow 20z always played Zafina, so he’s comfortable with her. More important, he’s a top 10 international pro player, playing against guys at the national level. He’d wash them with Mr. Potato head if it came down to it. There are levels.
She is more risk than reward. The fact Shadow won just shows his skill. She wae always known for her weak punish and frames, even in tekken 7. She is not garbage but definitely not among the good ones. If u compare her to Jun who is similar in terms of health costing moves, its really unfair. Jun has all these broken stuff while Zafinas azazel moves arent even that great. On top of that all the nerfs she got in her kit were over the top. If they just nerfed her backdash it would have been fine
damn zafina is hot. i don’t like how joon played zafina in the last match. im new, but i can see that zafina is very devastating low and has tons of moves that put her into stance. i think hell sweep is your best bet against zafina and go from there. she was way too respectful. i also didn’t see joon use the HW grab enough. i get the side step catcher but nobody is worried about it. he went into HW with grab distance about 30 or 40 times in this video. lots of missed damage. also, im p sure HW and heat engage have low attack follow ups? yeah, i need to lab more.
Shadow 20z is top 5 American player. No question. He’s top 4 to be honest. The only American player that is definitely better than Shadow is Anakin. Anakin is the best player from the US. After that, it’s Joey Fury, JoeCrush and Shadow 20z. Maybe Joey is a little better but it’s hard to say. The last three are about equal. These guys always do well at the international level.
As far as I know, most people in this tourney are character specialists meaning they probably won't swap off their main. Jun is definitely really strong but tekken is pretty evenly balanced so most people can just find success by optimizing what they're comfortable with. I mean shadow just won with Zafina when most consider her to be bottom 5.
meanwhile no Juns or Xiaoyu's in top 8 either but mah 'knee and arslan' tier list, ROFL, like sheep who can't think for themselves and latched on to the words of pro players who push out a bad youtube tier lists for ad revenue
Could you explain why you think that? I've been seeing reinas (joonya included) struggle in every tns tournament before this one so I was thinking she ain't that strong at higher levels
@@Zetsukun12 even in the tns reina is in top 8 or doing very well. I also think that’s a case of the player just not being as skilled as the other. But in some cases like Rey jr vs him rey is clearly the better player. Now im not a pro player and im okay at tekken but I literally got to kishin with Reina off just ff2. Like the character is carried and I play her 😭
Not quite. Shadow 20z is a top 20 international competitor. He beat Arslan Ash before. He's playing against national players. He could play with Mr. Potato head if he wanted to and still beat some of these guys. There are levels.
