When Anre, Beelzebub and Zooey tiger knee their specials to throw bait, but Seox naturally throw baits with half his kit. The game is getting a little centralized as people look for answers to neir and just settle on Seox because at least he can get in.
this tournaments top 8 were actually 2 niers, 1 zooey and 5 seox. They only switched chars in top 8, but all of them except for the niers and diaphone played seox up until then.
Those Anre matchs were AMAZING to watch. The agressive play agains Nier is extremely encouraged because if you so slightly let her be in the comfort zone, it’s already over. Dia with the Zoi, so good to see it again. Sadly, the amount of Seox and Nier leaves me so ResidentSleeper. Skipped a lot of matchs because of that. Surprised to see a Gran and, as always, such a delight to see Ubercheesecake’s Ladiva.
Anre the goat in the losers final is a welcome surprise, when grand final was just Nier mirror- I have just read down that most of the players used seox outside of this. Damn. Disappointed now. Diaphone is a winner in our hearts for going with Zooey though!
*Zooey's great buttons!* Diaphone might have been slightly wild with the zooey placement, but hearing them say her buttons are great when no one has managed to show that off in this tourney due to the monsters they're fighting is hilarious. Like, oh she has good buttons as long as she isn't fighting a character that has stronger buttons than her lol.
With the aggressiveness the game is in now, any "good" button Zooey has is easily punishable and her projectiles are so slow. Not having a DP really stifles the character in my opinion.
Zooey is in the catagory of characters who dont have any meterless reversals. I think all those characters are in the bottom half of the cast except for Soriz, simply because at the moment his damage output and ultimate skills are insanely useful at stealing rounds. Zooey, Grimnir, Vaseraga, Ladiva etc start the game okay at best and get steamrolled if they dont get the first hit because of their terrible defence. Their return needs to be insane once they get going to contend. Right now Zooey is good on offence and needs to spend her super meter on defence, which reduces her cashout when her "great buttons" get her a hit.
Thumbnail is Zooey when she placed 5th and four of the five Seox in Top 8 troll-swapped to weak subs on the summary graphic. They're all trying to hide the evidence.
It's only the third tourney but twice I had to skip the grand final with how monotonous it gets from loads of Nier and Seox. Hope a balance patch is hitting soon.
It's so weird that i still have no idea what Anre does, despite seeing a fair bit of him in this tournament. The man was just trying to claw life from the jaws of death, literally.
@@balther10 you realize this top 8 was 2 niers, 1 zooey and 5 seox? they only switched chars in top 8, but all of them except for the niers and diaphone played seox up until then.
Diaphone is the winner in our hearts, dude has master with Nier and yet scores high with his fav character instead. Reminds me of Umisho, who played Sol while also being an amazing HC player@@cooltwittertag
There are gaps in her strings and other weaknesses. But she just has access to set ups and pressure no one else in the cast has. Shes gotta get toned down a bit.@balther10
Can't stand watching nier because how broken she is. Here's my question for everyone...do players that use nier really believe they win because of their skills?? I hope they are not that Delusional.
The players themselves are very good in this tournament, whether they're playing Nier or not. It's just that Nier gives them the best chance at winning and there is money on the line
You're watching a tournament, most people here are playing to win, not to flex their skills. The strongest characters will always see more rep in these environments so even if they nerf Nier (and they probably should), someone will take her place.
i just really dislike how few interactions there are in neir games. She does the same combo on every hit, kills in 2 touches, dies in about 3, and gambles with her DP on every wakeup she gets. So the game is reduced to 2-3 games of scissors paper rock, 4 if you're lucky. I wouldn't mind if she stayed strong, it's just such a poor viewing experience to watch.
I despise how "represent" has become the new filler-word for FGC commentary. It's usage doesnt even make sense 90% of the time. You don't "represent" a move or "gaps in a blockstring". Making commentary really hard to listen to in recent times
Yes, you do. You demonstrate to the opponent that you're choosing a certain option, in order to condition them to respond to it. That's what they mean when they say "represent".
